Hi...Just installed this on another Krytac. Wow...world of difference in ease of install! Everything went great. Don't even lose my mock bolt release. Leaving off the safety lever was a godsend as is the pre-cock de-cocking by pulling and holding the trigger on the last shot. I have my trigger set to close to maximum sensitivity and it's all working just great! Thanks!!!!
Thats a cool feature to decompress the spring i have mine set to basic factory mode with 7.4 or 11.1 li ion titans with a 25k motor and shes the perfect trigger responce :)
This is a great video for programming the Perun but PLEASE dont block the nozzle with your finger. This air brakes the piston and creates a PME situation and ruin in the internals. Ive had customers come to me and wonder why and I have to tell them NOT to do that or it ruins their piston and/or gearset.
Just finished installing my v2 hybrid. Totally a breeze and awesome available settings. Really an example of the age old saying KISS (keep it simple stupid!)
Been trying ot figure this out so at @3:30 the nozzle with pre cocking is half forward and with pre cocking it looks like the nozzle is out all the way, is this normal?
Yes. With little precocking the nozzle will usually be half way or all the way back. With more precocking the nozzle will usually be in extreme forward position, ready for a shot.
@@perunairsoft4811gotcha. I thought the nozzle was always in the forward position. I was getting different behaviors on my 11.1 on default out of the box settings the nozzle was about half way back and on a 7.4 the nozzle is all the way forward so was kinda confused on what was happening
Just installed mine into a specna arms edge. Everything seems to work fine, but it doesn't go into SAFE. And when I put pressure on my selector towards the front, it does. I've tried adjusting the sticker back and forth to see if I can get it to function without any help, and nothing seems to fully work. Aside from not being able to go into SAFE. The mosfet works great.

It has been of great help to me, I bought the limited edition at-ppk20-pe with Perun a few days ago, excuse my ignorance, but I don't know exactly what the active brake (AB) and precooking are for. I have seen the difference in how the spring/piston etc. acts but I don't understand what improves it, or for what use each alternative is better. Thanks for you time and dedication.

Please send a video showing how you are doing it to info@perunairsoft.pl Our tech support will try to figure out what is going wrong. When filming, please make sure you are able to capture the LED and the color code's it's giving out. It will probably be easiest done through the magwell.

Spring release does not work when DMR mode is activated. We recommend setting semi (without DMR mode) mode on auto selector position and releasing the spring there.
You guys gotta rework the trigger. A micro switch on leviathan or gates trigger sent up is much more precise and crisp. Your mosfets are amazing for the price but fr a better trigger design would be nice. Can’t make hair trigger with your design and when you do at times the trigger movement is too small to register as a shot
Planning to buy the perun hybrid v2 for my G&G ARP 556 2.0, Im wondering if can you program 2 modes in semi or auto ? For example on semi mode i will program the pre cocking and trigger sensitivity then in auto will program also the trigger sensitivity and the binary mode ?
Yes you can. Most setting are independant of one another. So you start by selecting semi or auto to set with your desired settings independant of one another. There is however some settings that are universal like Lipo alarm and DSG mode.
Do you have an AK? If yes, than it's a good sign because that's how it's supposed to be immediately after installation! You would now need to go into the settings of the mosfet and change the firing modes according to this video.
I buy a V3 for an Ak and thats the way it should work. But I buy a V2 for a Mp5 and have to change it manually because it reset to "Ak Mode" instead of normal selector positions. 😅
I purchases an MCMR by VFC and got the mosfet upgraded to this Perun V2. An issue I keep running into is at very random times, usually 2-4 times per game day, ill get my lipo alarm blue light on followed by either 1 beep every few seconds OR 4 beeps back to back (not sure if the 4 beeps is also the blue lipo alarm led as I haven't checked the light during the 4 beep time). This stops my gun from shooting until I disconnect the battery and reconnect it. I'm using a Titan 11.1V lithium ion battery with a C rating of 15c if I'm not mistaken. When this is happening, my battery is not dead nor below voltage threshold, as it works perfectly fine after disconnecting and reconnecting and I also check the voltage with my multimeter and still have 11.8+ on each time I've checked and this happens. Any ideas?
Nevermind! I figured it out. My gun is going into programming on its own randomly and im assuming its because my selector switch seems to have some kind of issue. For examply, from semi, the SLIGHTEST notch towards auto will make it shoot in full auto without the switch being all the way on the auto side until it clicks. That being said, im assuming the vibrations from running and gunning is causing that very small window to go back and forward causing my gun to go into programming mode! now i just need to figure out how to fix this 😅

No, the Arcturus gearbox with microswitch, which is present the replicas without our drop in mosfets, is incompatible with V3 Hybrid. You could grind out the parts of the shell that make it impossible to install the Hybrid, but it will take some time, as amount of material to remove is considerable, and you need to make sure that nothing is touching the components on the board afterwards, and that's not always obvious that they do so. Another solution is to buy the complete Arcturus gearbox in Tokyo Marui standard, with our PE V3 mosfet inside, which is available separately.

It all depends on how do you want to use the replica with DSG, what your priorities are. Will it be fired solely on semi, or also on auto? What is the setup and what RoF do you want to achieve? Is the trigger reaction time most important, or something else?
@@giorgoslir We would advise activating precocking for SEMI, and deactivating it for AUTO, while adjusting the RoF reduction so, that you'll achieve the desired rate of fire. However, in our opinion it is better to achieve lower rate of fire by increasing gear ratio or using slower motor, and making up for slower trigger reaction time by using higher precocking settings for SEMI.
It changes what the sector gear sensor detects as the end of the gearbox cycle. On both settings, with DSG gear in, you might have perfectly functional semi, but you should be able to observe that it ends the cycle in different positions depending on "DSG mode" setting.
It depends. Some builds might be so fast or have so much inertia, that even if you disable precocking and engage full active braking, the gears will still overspin a little bit because of accumulated momentum. It could cause double feeding, and in some rare cases, this might even cause damage to certain parts in the gearbox, even if you only decide to try it. Our advice would be to see where the sector gear stops when the anti reversal latch is still in place. If it's not overspinning, you may go ahead and remove the ARL.
No, settings like precocking, active brake, trigger sensitivity etc. are set independently for both firing modes. You can also have precocking on full auto if you enable it there, but you don't have to if you don't want it.
Without active braking, precocking would be much less consistent. When you have a very responsive replica, in which the gearbox cycle only lasts a few dozen milliseconds, you can't really rely on the friction and spring pressure for stopping the motor, because in many replicas the piston will be ending up in quite different places. In Perun mosfets, active brake is always active when using precocking, and that is regardless of your current active brake setting in the programming mode. However, the mandatory braking after precocking is also set to intermediate power, so as not to put too much strain on the motor.

They say there are no stupid questions :) 1. Set the selector to "auto" and wait a couple of seconds. 2. Switch the selector to semi and back to auto twice (and do it fast!) like that: auto->semi->auto->semi->auto 3. You are in the programming mode now. The first position is the firing mode. You want to have semi here. Semi is set, when the LED is blinking green and the motor is beeping a single beep once in a while. If that's not what you hear at the moment, keep pulling the trigger until you will hear that. 4. Switch the selector to semi (you'll be on active brake now), back to auto (precocking) and again to semi (binary trigger). You need to hear a single beep from time to time here. If you don't hear it, pull the trigger once. 5. Pull and hold the trigger until you hear confirmation that you have left the programming mode and that the settings have been saved. If you still haven't got binary, make sure that 2-stage trigger and DMR mode are disabled. We hope this helps!

We recommend always installing the anti-reversal latch. It can't harm, except for some inconvenience during installation, yet there can be many instances where the cycle doesn't end where you would like it to and the it will be very important to have anti-reversal in place.

Please try the folliwng: 1. Do the Master Reset first. 2. Make sure you have single fire on the selector position, where you want to have binary. 3. Activate binary trigger feature.

There's a cycle detection problem for some reason. Please contact our tech support at info@perunairsoft.pl and they'll do their best to fix the problem.
Once you are at the precocking setting (yellow light), pull the trigger to get from 0 to 8 beeps. You can see it being done in this video starting from 2:55.

@@igorsoares2451 We won't be able to advise, because an enormous amount of variables impacts the right precocking level, many of which you won't even be able to let us know precisely. Our recommendation is to keep increasing the precocking level one by one, until double shots on semi start appearing. After that reduce the precocking level by one or two.
It depends on the battery capacity and what parts you have in your replica. "C" is just one of the factors deciding how much current can your battery provide, it's also about how much current can your replica draw. As for Perun itself, it can handle around 200A peak and 35A continuous current. Even highest performance builds usually stay below these values. When you get to the color (cyan for Li-Po alarm), if it beeps from time to time - it will be working. If the motor is silent while the LED flashes cyan, the Li-Po alarm is disabled.

I want to ask, why does my mosfet turn off when using burn? To turn it back on, the battery must be removed and reinstalled. it happens in binary trigger mode, auto, etc. all happens when 2 shots in 1 trigger pressure take place and automatically turns off. but when the semi auto is set to 1 shot, everything is fine.

We show to change DMR mode stting on 6:06. Proceed as shown from 6:06 on to reach the stage when the LED is blinking violet (only). Then make single trigger pulls until the replica is silent. Make sure that DMR mode is disabled for both SEMI and AUTO selector positions, because this feature can be set independently for each selector state.
Please make sure, that semi is programmed (one beep when the LED is shining green). Binary trigger can activate only when single fire is also set at a given selector position.
Hello, is the nozzle being in backwards position a normal thing after installing a perun even without precocking enabled? I installed it and my nozzle stays in backwards position before I pull a trigger, and before I installed the mosfet it stayed in forward position. Im asking because Ive seen in some people videos that the nozzle stays in forward when perun is installed so Im a little bit confused. Cheers!
The nozzle theoretically should remain in forward position after a shot, if precocking is disabled and active brake is on (especially on lvl 5), but certain characteristics of the build can cause it to remain backwards even with these settings: - weak main spring, - high speed brushed motor, - high voltage and high current efficiency battery, - delayer chip on the sector gear with a shape which causes the tappet plate to retract sooner within the gearbox cycle, - little friction inside the gearbox, which is achieved by good shimming and motor adjustment, ball bearings etc.
@@perunairsoft4811 Okay so, I took out the delayer chip and it still remains in backward position, I have a high torque brushed motor from element but I dont think thats the reason either, Im using an 11,1v 1100mah lipo battery so I dont think its very powerful, and the main spring is about 390fps and I tested it with m130 few minutes ago, and even after that its still in backwards position, and Im realy upset because Im getting double feeds because of that, So i have no idea what is causing it…
@@JacobbBrah Then it's hard to say. There are many more less common reasons why braking is not immediate - if there is more resitance than normal between motor terminals and the armature, braking will be weaker. It might also trun out, that you high torque motor is quite fast. Please keep in mind, that the videos of Perun-run replica having its nozzle remaining forward, you've seen online, can be of a replica with precocking enabled - in such case the nozzle will almost always stay closed. The fact that the nozzle stays in backwards position shouldn't lead to double feeding, and is actually something that many people are looking for, when fine tuning the settings of their replica. This problem has rather to do with the hop up chamber and bucking geometry and the nozzle length.
It's a common practice among airsoft techs to hold the figer on the nozzle, when testing the gearbox without the upper receiver on. Finger stops the air from leaving the cylinder entirely freely, creating some pressure which cushions the piston impact. It not only extends the gearbox life, but is also much more pleasant because the noise reduction is substantial. It's a difference, which is important for your ears (and people around you), when you sometimes have to fire hundreds of shots to get things right. It's important not to press against to nozzle too hard with the finger, instead just to keep it over the nozzle. Otherwise you can seal the cylinder completely and risk premature engagement, which might have terrible consequences for the gears and the piston.
Hate to say it but I'm not a fan of perun v2 optical and the v2 drop in mosfet each one I've gotten have been completely programmed differently different beeps and trigger pulls ect then what the cards say and emails I sent got no reply at all it took 4+ months to find out the proper trigger pulls to get the settings I wanted it says 8x- precocking..... nope it was 10 then 6x-auto.... nope it was 3. And 11×-dubble shot... nope.... it was 13 pulls it took 3 different gun techs to figure that out 3 fucking tec guys
Hello Mike, we're sorry to hear that. Which e-mail address have you been using to contact us? We answer to all messages, are you sure there wasn't a typo or you didn't get a return? This video does not relate to the Optical series, but please let me help. Judging from what you say about the programming problems, it seems that you might have been pulling the trigger too fast. We mention in the manual, that when in the programming mode, you need to wait till the beeps fully ring out and only then pull the trigger again. Otherwise, the pulls made while the mosfet was beeping will be ignored, leading to more pulls needed than the manual stated. It doesn't work like that in the Hybrids by the way. You may pull the trigger as fast as you want and it will still count.
Worst mosfet ever bought, cords god damaged as soon as gearbox got closed, says fits most v2 gearboxes, well it fits but you need to buy new selector plate, Code red as soon as i try to shoot, not buying again...
We're sorry to hear about your trouble with the mosfet. We have never encountered a situation yet, where the selector plate needs to be replaced. However, it can happen and that's why we mention it fits "most" V2 gearboxes, and sometimes some modification is needed. Perhaps you would like to contact our tech support at info@perunairsoft.pl and describe the situation, so that they may consider putting a note about that in the manual? They would surely also be happy to help with the red code problem.
Do you mean setting binary trigger on the "SAFE" selector position? If yes, that's impossible. "SAFE" has to always remain locked with Perun products. It's our policy aimed at ensuring safety.

Active brake is for motor overspin and precocking keeps the piston is the back position so its always ready to fire.

Is it possible to reduce rate of fire for auto, but keep rate of fire full speed for burst on the V3 Arcturus PE aegs?
No, unfortunately not. RoF reduction feature affects every mode that is not single fire or binary.

My perun will go into programming mode but doesn't show an LED and pbly makes noise when you enter and exit programming mode.

hello i have a question, how is the best settings for dsg mod about (AB, RoF) ?
It all depends on how do you want to use the replica with DSG, what your priorities are. Will it be fired solely on semi, or also on auto? What is the setup and what RoF do you want to achieve? Is the trigger reaction time most important, or something else?

@@giorgoslir We would advise activating precocking for SEMI, and deactivating it for AUTO, while adjusting the RoF reduction so, that you'll achieve the desired rate of fire. However, in our opinion it is better to achieve lower rate of fire by increasing gear ratio or using slower motor, and making up for slower trigger reaction time by using higher precocking settings for SEMI.
What does the DSG setting really do?
With my DSG it works both, on and off.
It changes what the sector gear sensor detects as the end of the gearbox cycle. On both settings, with DSG gear in, you might have perfectly functional semi, but you should be able to observe that it ends the cycle in different positions depending on "DSG mode" setting.

It depends. Some builds might be so fast or have so much inertia, that even if you disable precocking and engage full active braking, the gears will still overspin a little bit because of accumulated momentum. It could cause double feeding, and in some rare cases, this might even cause damage to certain parts in the gearbox, even if you only decide to try it. Our advice would be to see where the sector gear stops when the anti reversal latch is still in place. If it's not overspinning, you may go ahead and remove the ARL.
May I ask which mode the motor brake is?
It's the "blue" mode, second in the programming mode after firing modes. Its description in this video starts at 2:24.

No, settings like precocking, active brake, trigger sensitivity etc. are set independently for both firing modes. You can also have precocking on full auto if you enable it there, but you don't have to if you don't want it.

how do they get the piston like that without the cylinder?
We have simply put everything together without the cylinder :) Piston usually sits inside the gearbox shell's rails tightly enough not to fall out.
Does it make sense to have active braking and precocking at the same time? Don't these two features kinda work against each other?

Without active braking, precocking would be much less consistent. When you have a very responsive replica, in which the gearbox cycle only lasts a few dozen milliseconds, you can't really rely on the friction and spring pressure for stopping the motor, because in many replicas the piston will be ending up in quite different places.
In Perun mosfets, active brake is always active when using precocking, and that is regardless of your current active brake setting in the programming mode. However, the mandatory braking after precocking is also set to intermediate power, so as not to put too much strain on the motor.

They say there are no stupid questions :)
1. Set the selector to "auto" and wait a couple of seconds.
2. Switch the selector to semi and back to auto twice (and do it fast!) like that: auto->semi->auto->semi->auto
3. You are in the programming mode now. The first position is the firing mode. You want to have semi here. Semi is set, when the LED is blinking green and the motor is beeping a single beep once in a while. If that's not what you hear at the moment, keep pulling the trigger until you will hear that.
4. Switch the selector to semi (you'll be on active brake now), back to auto (precocking) and again to semi (binary trigger). You need to hear a single beep from time to time here. If you don't hear it, pull the trigger once.
5. Pull and hold the trigger until you hear confirmation that you have left the programming mode and that the settings have been saved.
If you still haven't got binary, make sure that 2-stage trigger and DMR mode are disabled. We hope this helps!

We recommend always installing the anti-reversal latch. It can't harm, except for some inconvenience during installation, yet there can be many instances where the cycle doesn't end where you would like it to and the it will be very important to have anti-reversal in place.

Yes, precocking can be used in combination with any firing mode.
So i installed one and even programmed for a single shot in semi, it fires 3rd burst. Blinks yellow and green

No it should not work that way. Trigger sensitivity setting does not impact the piston position at all.

Precocking has 8 stages, allowing you to find the right position for the piston.

Once you are at the precocking setting (yellow light), pull the trigger to get from 0 to 8 beeps. You can see it being done in this video starting from 2:55.

@@igorsoares2451 We won't be able to advise, because an enormous amount of variables impacts the right precocking level, many of which you won't even be able to let us know precisely. Our recommendation is to keep increasing the precocking level one by one, until double shots on semi start appearing. After that reduce the precocking level by one or two.
whats the max discharge rate or C's the v2 hybrid can handle?
It depends on the battery capacity and what parts you have in your replica. "C" is just one of the factors deciding how much current can your battery provide, it's also about how much current can your replica draw. As for Perun itself, it can handle around 200A peak and 35A continuous current. Even highest performance builds usually stay below these values.

I don't get the lipo alarm, when you get to the color how do you save it to ON
When you get to the color (cyan for Li-Po alarm), if it beeps from time to time - it will be working. If the motor is silent while the LED flashes cyan, the Li-Po alarm is disabled.

I want to ask, why does my mosfet turn off when using burn? To turn it back on, the battery must be removed and reinstalled. it happens in binary trigger mode, auto, etc. all happens when 2 shots in 1 trigger pressure take place and automatically turns off. but when the semi auto is set to 1 shot, everything is fine.

How do you turn off DMR mode?
We show to change DMR mode stting on 6:06. Proceed as shown from 6:06 on to reach the stage when the LED is blinking violet (only). Then make single trigger pulls until the replica is silent.
Make sure that DMR mode is disabled for both SEMI and AUTO selector positions, because this feature can be set independently for each selector state.
I can program binary on where semi should be but not where auto should be. Idk what's wrong
Please make sure, that semi is programmed (one beep when the LED is shining green). Binary trigger can activate only when single fire is also set at a given selector position.

Hello, is the nozzle being in backwards position a normal thing after installing a perun even without precocking enabled? I installed it and my nozzle stays in backwards position before I pull a trigger, and before I installed the mosfet it stayed in forward position. Im asking because Ive seen in some people videos that the nozzle stays in forward when perun is installed so Im a little bit confused. Cheers!
The nozzle theoretically should remain in forward position after a shot, if precocking is disabled and active brake is on (especially on lvl 5), but certain characteristics of the build can cause it to remain backwards even with these settings:
- weak main spring,
- high speed brushed motor,
- high voltage and high current efficiency battery,
- delayer chip on the sector gear with a shape which causes the tappet plate to retract sooner within the gearbox cycle,
- little friction inside the gearbox, which is achieved by good shimming and motor adjustment, ball bearings etc.
@@perunairsoft4811 Okay so, I took out the delayer chip and it still remains in backward position, I have a high torque brushed motor from element but I dont think thats the reason either, Im using an 11,1v 1100mah lipo battery so I dont think its very powerful, and the main spring is about 390fps and I tested it with m130 few minutes ago, and even after that its still in backwards position, and Im realy upset because Im getting double feeds because of that, So i have no idea what is causing it…

@@JacobbBrah Then it's hard to say. There are many more less common reasons why braking is not immediate - if there is more resitance than normal between motor terminals and the armature, braking will be weaker. It might also trun out, that you high torque motor is quite fast.
Please keep in mind, that the videos of Perun-run replica having its nozzle remaining forward, you've seen online, can be of a replica with precocking enabled - in such case the nozzle will almost always stay closed.
The fact that the nozzle stays in backwards position shouldn't lead to double feeding, and is actually something that many people are looking for, when fine tuning the settings of their replica. This problem has rather to do with the hop up chamber and bucking geometry and the nozzle length.

Why are you putting you finger in front of the gun every time you fire. Is it supposed to act like your actually shooting the gun or something
It's a common practice among airsoft techs to hold the figer on the nozzle, when testing the gearbox without the upper receiver on. Finger stops the air from leaving the cylinder entirely freely, creating some pressure which cushions the piston impact. It not only extends the gearbox life, but is also much more pleasant because the noise reduction is substantial. It's a difference, which is important for your ears (and people around you), when you sometimes have to fire hundreds of shots to get things right.
It's important not to press against to nozzle too hard with the finger, instead just to keep it over the nozzle. Otherwise you can seal the cylinder completely and risk premature engagement, which might have terrible consequences for the gears and the piston.

Hate to say it but I'm not a fan of perun v2 optical and the v2 drop in mosfet each one I've gotten have been completely programmed differently different beeps and trigger pulls ect then what the cards say and emails I sent got no reply at all it took 4+ months to find out the proper trigger pulls to get the settings I wanted it says 8x- precocking..... nope it was 10 then 6x-auto.... nope it was 3. And 11×-dubble shot... nope.... it was 13 pulls it took 3 different gun techs to figure that out 3 fucking tec guys

This video does not relate to the Optical series, but please let me help. Judging from what you say about the programming problems, it seems that you might have been pulling the trigger too fast. We mention in the manual, that when in the programming mode, you need to wait till the beeps fully ring out and only then pull the trigger again. Otherwise, the pulls made while the mosfet was beeping will be ignored, leading to more pulls needed than the manual stated.
It doesn't work like that in the Hybrids by the way. You may pull the trigger as fast as you want and it will still count.
Worst mosfet ever bought, cords god damaged as soon as gearbox got closed, says fits most v2 gearboxes, well it fits but you need to buy new selector plate, Code red as soon as i try to shoot, not buying again...
We're sorry to hear about your trouble with the mosfet. We have never encountered a situation yet, where the selector plate needs to be replaced. However, it can happen and that's why we mention it fits "most" V2 gearboxes, and sometimes some modification is needed. Perhaps you would like to contact our tech support at info@perunairsoft.pl and describe the situation, so that they may consider putting a note about that in the manual? They would surely also be happy to help with the red code problem.
How can you set binary trigger on with safety?
Do you mean setting binary trigger on the "SAFE" selector position? If yes, that's impossible. "SAFE" has to always remain locked with Perun products. It's our policy aimed at ensuring safety.
