Thank you so much for this! Trying to figure out what hardshell pop up to buy for our R1T. Possible you can share your Google spreadsheet URL? It appears to be truncated in the description
I updated the link but the 1.0 isn’t clickable and has no info. I had to call to get the differences before driving down to see them in person. Summary: -different front U bar -annex included in the 2.0 (awning in both) -skylight tends to fog up in the 1.0
Do you happen to know the weight capacity of the crossbars? I just ordered one and got the Mt. Washington in small and a 2.0 (includes annex, and crossbars) for $1500. That is a complete no brainer now, and looking forward to getting the tent soon.
Is this the small or medium CVT? I also saw another video the actual dimensions from CVT is longer on the actual product. If yours is a medium then I wonder the small will fit flush on the Rivian like the ikamper x-cover 2.0 mini.
@@emeraldcityrivianclub Thanks for the helpful video. Currently looking into RTT for R1T. Do you think you'll make a follow-up video or post on repositioning it forward?
@@Eli-zg8tu looks like I won’t make it to the store today. I’m super busy until end of January so I likely won’t be able to get to it until then. I have full confidence though it’ll be super easy to do.
Quick Question...Did CVT customer service take care of you for sending the wrong version of the tent or what was the outcome. Fixing to possibly order the 2.0 version on sale but wanted to check on customer service. Thanks
They did. They offered me driving back for the 2.0 or getting a refund for the price difference of the 1.0 + a little extra which is what I opted for. Under $2k for a hard shell tent + cross rails was hard to pass up.
@Emerald City Rivian Club Really good to hear. Order was placed for the 2.0 version. Looking forward to the upgrade from my older soft shell RTT. Thanks for the quick reply!
Great Review. How has the tent held up? I'm debating picking this up for my new R1T. Would you still recommend it ?
Awesome review and comparisons. Thank you so much.

Can’t find the difference between the link
Provided 1.0 vs 2.0 version

250lb driving, 600lb static per Rivian

This is the small. I’m going to try to scoot it forwards this week.

How did you get the tent up onto the rails at 170+ lbs?
CVT used a fork lift but a person on each corner would do it. I wouldn’t use only two people as it’s awkward
I have a garage and set up a hoist system from Amazon. It lifts and lowers the tent. Also stores it in a space that is unused. A one person process.
@@chas60422 that’s my plan as well. Taking my time finding a good solution though
so clean..but do you even offroad, overland or just pull up on one of those cheesy reserved campgrounds?
