    We use Abeka history - and my God it’s a lot of work. I cannot fathom using the entire grade curriculum, and do CC, and do ALL OF IT. That’s insane. God bless y’all who do that. We skip a ton of stuff. You def don’t need to do all the lessons just for those out there who might feel like they are “not doing enough”. You’re doing plenty.

      Hi Chrissy yes you are right it is a ton of work! 👍😆It’s not all necessary either, but some do it and taylor the classes to meet their kids schedules. It’s do-able just a ton of work! CC does not have history in highschool either so that class is left up to them. Using Abeka alone is enough but if they want to join a co-op such as CC they’ll more than likely need to adjust the workload, swap out some things etc. But yes, a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun joining a co-op! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t 🙂thanks for your comment and happy homeschooling!

      @@ahallelujahplace we are joining CC for the first time this year. We have done 4 years with only a homeschool hiking group but decided to add in CC (my kids are doing challenge A and B this year). We had the meetings at their leaders houses yesterday and the day before and my head is swimming. We are still going to use Abeka history but will scale to fit their needs. I just know how involved history is for Abeka I can’t imagine doing the whole grade + CC, but maybe it’s just bc we haven’t yet tried. Thank you for your video!

      @@chrissy9876 yay! Challenge A and B are fun, but their all a challenge! 🤣 You sound like you know exactly what you’re doing especially when it comes to slimming down history. Abeka history is very detailed and thorough! And the CC workload is up to you. When we do cc, it is up to the parent to set in stone what the children are going to be doing. Now some communities are better than others with this! Good luck with CC and have a great year!

    Hi I'm a new subscriber. I have always wanted to do a co-op, but I have been afraid to do so. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to handle it. But this is very encouraging! 💗☺️

      @ahallelujahplace  Рік тому

      Hi! You won’t know if you can handle it unless you try it! Small steps! And with most co-ops you can stop going if it’s not working out for you or your children. If you start your own just start small with simple outings such as parks etc, depending on how old your children are. You got this! Thanks for subscribing and commenting! 👍🙂

    Hi, I’m from Ohio too, and I can’t find anything about co ops for homeschooling and I don’t want to join CC, help pls. We’re in Lorain county

      Hi Anita, I looked on Facebook and typed in Lorain county homeschoolers and it pulled up a couple of private groups that you can ask to join for Lorain county homeschoolers. The first private group is called Lorain county homeschoolers net work and the second private group is Lorain county homeschoolers. I clicked on it and it says field trips, outings and that pretty much anybody can get into the group. I would just go onto Facebook type in Lorain county homeschoolers and sign up to join those two groups and also check the web. Just do a regular web search for Lorain county homeschoolers and see what you get! I hope this helps you!Thank you so much for subscribing and commenting and let me know if you have any further questions.!👍🙂
