Hi mate, I used and still am using 235/70/16 all terrain before and after I lifted it and they don’t catch anywhere but if you thinking of mud terrain tyres you may have to drop the side wall to 65 due to the increase in tread depth. Hope that helps 👍🏻
@@rav4offroad thanks for the reply I’ll bear that in mind. Not sure if I want to go full mud tyres or just all terrain as I do use it to drive to work and I know how noisy they can be.
I really like these little buggers...but didn't want to get one because they are UNDERPOWERED... -- or so I thought-- til I found out they made 07-2012 in V-6 which is plenty of power and they will RUN FOREVER.. the engine and tranny in them is BULLET PROOF. I'm researching now- found several to go check out... :) CAN"T WAIT..
Hi mate. Yeah the petrol one is quite under powered I wish I got the diesel version. I e put mine through quite a bit of abuse considering it’s not really an off roader but it still surprises me sometimes what it can do. Good luck in your search and hope you find a good one. 👍🏻
Hi mate. Yeah 40mm lift kit but also the tyres are bigger too 235/70/16 which also adds about inch and a half. But been having problems with the rear springs not being strong enough as the two different types I have used arnt good enough so I will probably swap the rear lift kit and springs for old man emu rear springs as they are also uprated to handle more weight so they don’t sag so much. 👍🏻
That's good advice. I have a 3 door rav4 2002, diesel. I like to do a little light green Laning here and there. All I've changed is adding a 50mm lift so far. I will aim to get a sump guard, diff breathers, bigger tyres (currently m+s 235/60/16) and eventually figure out a snorkel for this car. I have a rear LSD in mine luckily enough. I've looked at a company called AER (auto equation refitting) that make an adjustable set. Different to OME, expensive but they swap the front strut, rear strut and rear coil, leaving the stock coil. A bit different but I think that'll be my option eventually. Kit spacers are fine for now though :) If you fancy me tagging along for a little fun I'm in the valleys in South Wales and would really enjoy a little road trip with a fellow rav4 enthusiast!
Hi mate that sounds like a good idea for a run out. Wales is a great place lovely scenery and loads of green lanes next time I’m heading over that way I will give you a shout👍🏻
Perfect skills! 😮
Thanks mate. Appreciated 👍🏻
Funciona bien el bloqueo aer equation?
Hi, if you mean aer locker ? I do t have one sorry. But I have heard that they do work very well.
@@rav4offroad que llevas la tracción 4x4 de serie del coche ?
Hi mate yeah standard full time 4wd
Hi I’ve just bought a 3 door one of these. Would you know what the biggest tyres I could get on it without lifting it? Thanks

Hello is it lifted?
Hi mate it is but I think the rear springs are too weak it’s lifted 40mm front and rear. 👍🏻

*leaving the stock coil on the front I meant to say* instead of the strut as OME has.
