    i encourage people to use transition shades instead of blending when starting of with gouache. it can get really hard to blend and it’s good color theory practice. 🙂

    For some reason it is funny to see guashe becoming aestetically popular, because it was a beginer paint in our artschool

    I have the HIMI gouache set and find it so difficult to get the right consistency once they are dry, also the transparency is more like watercolor. Should I be using white to mix? I love your way of using them and will continue to practice. Thank you!

    Cool stuff! I'm worried I'm gonna dry out the Himi Gels so i didn't remove the tin foil cap. I'll just stop being silly and spray those down.

    Oooo nice video and helpful!
    My friend actually bought me the arteza gouache 24 set!
    She bought it for me as a graduation gift cause I’m graduating from high school in June and I’m flying my friend from Texas for her to see me graduate and stay with me for 2 weeks ❤️
    I can’t wait to start using gouache paint soon!
    And thank you for the tips!
    Definitely will use this for a reference and I subscribed! ❤️ 😊

      A little bit different! Think of it like super opaque watercolor

    So I’m just starting with gouache and I used too much of it while trying to get it how I want it to be and I also use a lot because I’m blending a lot… how can I use less gouache but still do this?

    • @KateHickmanArt
      @KateHickmanArt  2 роки тому

      Do you mean getting the right consistency? You're using too much gouache right now and it's coming out more acrylic-paint-ey than gouache?
