LOL! I know, right!
Watch This video examination in life never give up-ua-cam.com/video/k4w4pak66V0/v-deo.html
This guy KNOWS HOW TO TEACH! The teachers that have taught me college-level math always make it confusing and hard. Wish I had this guy as my teacher.
Same
cool
Word right now I got math 104 for freshman year fall semester
Unfortunately, your are wrong. Is not the teacher... it is you! Stop blaming people for your personal problems!
Sameeee omg
I dropped out of college ten years ago, and tomorrow I'm taking an apprenticeship test to get into electrical trade school. This is exactly what I needed, and I feel so much more confident now. Thank you so much for this.
UPDATE: I just took the test.... I was so sure that I completely failed, the maths portion was incredibly difficult; but I stuck to what I knew and applied the principles covered here. I passed with an ABOVE AVERAGE score and fully qualified for the programme I am applying for. I would not have succeeded without this video. Thank you so much.
Congratulations brotha! What kind of math did they have?
congrats!
I’m in the exact same situation. What type of math questions should I narrow down on studying ?
that’s amazing! congratulations :O

Going back to college and this helps a lot since I haven't taken a math class in 5 years.
Same here....except for me its been 25 years. All the best to you.
Good luck Ibrahim! Since you are here you must know what you're doing!
I’m on the same boat! Graduated in 2015. Took some school then joined the army, but now I’m ready to be back in school’
Lol 9 years for me. But going for a second bachelor's...and calculus is required for the engineering program 😢
We sail together 🛥
Tell me why he’s taught me so much in a good 15 min than my junior year algebra 2 teacher could ever teach me 🤨 honestly props to you Im reviewing for my placement test and this is SO helpful (: you came in clutch (especially cause you’re easy to understand)
UPDATE: I TOOK MY PLACEMENT TEST AND PASSED UNITS 0-9 (that’s all there was) all bc of this man right here 🥺❤️❤️thank you so much
because he is reviewing something you have heard before and he is teaching at the big picture level and then zooming into easy examples. Because he doesn't get bogged down and keeps it moving the basic ideas and concepts feel pretty natural to handle. I always watch a video like this before or after studying in a focused way.
- my genuine best attempt to fulfil your request
Me too
Dam I’m in like eighth grade and y’all stressin this hard
Nickz 😂
I have only watched 5 minutes and I'm already smarter.
LOL
Alan Wiltsie I wish there was youtube back in 1992-1996 lol.
Alan Wiltsie me asf
I know im like 13 years old
Lol
I haven't been in school in a very long time and I decided to go to college, I have been watching your videos to refresh my memory and learn things that I didn't get the chance to learn before for my placement test, I wanted to say that these videos have been helping me tremendously and thank you for posting them and teaching us, you make it easy to understand and talk us through step by step, again, thank you, I feel more confident in my abilities to solve algebra problems now.
Cassandra Allen I’m in math 84 :(
Me too !
It is really helpful how are you doing in college now ??
Aracely Garcia it’s been a power trip
Exactly why I watched this video too!
Hannah Billingsly good luck nothing is impossible but it sure is a headache
12:00 solving and graphing inequalities
17:00 absolute value expressions
23:27 slope intercept form
Thank you.
Thank you so much!!!! 😥
the amount of likes lmao
i never liked Math from the beginning but now I starting to like because of you and i wish i had a teacher like you while i was at school
same here
yeah, same here, he has a clear explanation
Wow look at that 2 months and 2 weeks and now 2 days what a coincidence.
Come on, you probably did not pay enough attention.
Norman Henderson That was me. Now it’s biting me in the butt and I have to waste time working up to my required class of calc 1. Definitely would tell kids not to brush off math even if they “don’t need it in the real world”
This is exactly what I was looking for. Sums up a whole year of math.

@@insiya4561 nice bro :)
I am completely bad at mathematics, but somehow, this channel has given me so much confidence in doing mathematics that I am 100% sure that by following every playlist I can even improve with science as well. Thank you for helping me boost my grades and learn how to actually solve problems without feeling stupid. I really appreciate that there are some individuals taking time to help people like myself, who struggle with this kind of material. Thank you so much!
I'm quite drunk and my brain breaks on math, but still I was able to understand everything. Next question is why in 90's music clips this was selected for auto play
Bec youtube is wierd and it might be bec you watched something about math nums or science 😂
I cannot find ANYONE that can explain these things the way you can!!! More on college algebra please, you are amazing!
thank you The Organic Chemist! I got a 71, after over 20 years of no math whatsoever!
phantaizm
It’s good that you are thankful to him.
I think you should as well feel proud of you 👍
Wow. He broke this down better than a lot of high school and college teachers!!!
I am actullay understanding this.
i took a break from college for a year and a half but i’ve forgotten a lot so i’m excited to watch this and practice!!! thankyou
I wanted to take a second and thank you for making this video. I am sure it took a very long time to create!! I am about to take my College Algebra final exam and am very grateful for this review. I am sure it will help me. You are very skilled in your speaking style and teaching methods, it makes for a very smooth learning process! Thank you!
You're very welcome. I hope you do well on it.
How did you do?
What im in 7th taking a college test for a scholarship but this helps
Sophie Guzman will have
You
Sophie Guzman I’m no where close to college but i’m learning
32:00 I just want to say, there are a few confusing areas in this tutorial because there's a lot to remember and JG doesn't always reuse terminology, making it tricky sometimes (for people like me who are not reviewing, but trying to relearn).
At this timestamp, you can easily "see" the y = mx + b equation showing through, but he doesn't remind you of this. So in the examples prior to this timestamp, he'll talk about y = -|x| and while it may make sense "in the moment," when you are thrown this outside of context, think of it this way:
y = mx + b, where
y = -1|x| + 0
and then suddenly this makes far more sense (at least to me). Don't forget, y = y-coordinate, m = slope, x = x-coordinate, and b = y-intercept. What is missing here is the x-intercept, but to solve for X-intercept, replace y with 0 and solve for x.
Revisiting this video, I forgot I'd left a comment. In the 9 months since, I enrolled back into a community college and took a pre-calc class (not easy haha), and now I'm in calculus I. I just wanted to learn something different at my old age! It all started here with algebra videos on youtube ;)
@@EmpyreanLightASMR Congrats!!!
Thank you so much. I'm dyscalcilic, and none of this made sense to me until you explained it, but now it seems so simple! You have a gift for teaching.
Using this to rush some studying for my final tomorrow! Been using your videos all semester man. The work you put into this and explaining the details is very much appreciated.
Some of the problems do not have a clear explanation but this video is still much better among many others
true, he is a real teacher. others talk too much and just finish one problem.
I like the way he explains everything. His pacing is also good, and i like how he gives plenty of examples to help you understand why the answer is what it is. I learned these concepts in high school, but i wanted a refresher so this video works really well for a refresher and to brush up on concepts i wasnt as good at
how do I know if in a problem its negative 1 minus negative 1 or if its negative 1 plus negative 1, this always gets me confused and is why i do poorly on problems.
@@Maximus.51 i believe that when you're dealing with adding or subtracting negative integers, parenthesis or brackets are often used to make sure you know whether or not you're adding or subtracting a negative.
For example
(-1) + (-1) = -2
The parenthesis ensures that the negative sign isn't changed to a positive sign and makes it clear that you're adding negative integers.
You can also do
1 - (-1).
The double negative signs turn the negative integer into +1, making the result a positive 2. If it were 1 + (-1), then your answer would've been 0.
Hopefuly that helps. I could be wrong about some parts, or all of it, so its always good to fact check. Its been a while since I've done this kind of math so I'm kind of rusty.
This lesson from Khan academy should also be helpful: www.khanacademy.org/math/cc-seventh-grade-math/cc-7th-negative-numbers-add-and-subtract/cc-7th-sub-neg-intro/a/subtracting-negative-numbers-review#:~:text=Subtracting%20a%20number%20is%20the,the%20opposite%20of%20the%20number.&text=Note%3A%20In%20both%20examples%2C%20we,number%20to%20the%20opposite%20sign.
I'm on my first semester of my first year of middle school and I already have learned algebra 1 and 2 and now I'm learning this. I could finally brag of how smart I am.
First of all, your voice is soo soothing and makes math less stressful. Second you're getting the point across with each advancement by giving us a practice problem and helping us solve it. Love this . Thank you.
I'm starting college in January and I'm taking Math 111. This definitely helps bc it's been almost a year and a half since I graduated HS, and everything I was taught had gone almost completely out of my head since then.
D Grace lol same but I’m not doing math 111
Best ever teacher I have ever seen teaching math in such a fantastic manner and perfect way! God bless you. if I have a medal right now, that belong to you
Been looking to go back to school and this was not only a great review for me for this injection but also a big help since I’m homeschooling my son. Great way to explain things to him and show him.
love love love this. clear and quick explanations. practice problems. covers a variety of topics instead of being an hour video over 1 subject in algebra. it's got everything i needed to brush up after a 4 year break from school.
ur the best thanks
This video is incredibly helpful! I have been out of high school for 6 years and needed desperately an algebra review before going to take my placement test for college courses! The first time I took a practice test, I got a 20% and after watching this, I got a 60% the second time!!
I've been taking notes on this for two-three days and you've completely refreshed my mind and even made it easier for me than they did in school my freshman-junior year.
You Have no idea how you really changed my learning I was having horrible trouble with college math and the fact that I finally am getting the hang of it because of your lessons my gosh your truly a blessing
You're amazing my man. Makes it so much clearer than Khan Academy, I appreciate it more than you believe.
Its been 2 years since I took pre calc, using your algebra videos and a refresher for calc 1 saves so my time and frustration. Thanks mate.
Perfect review!! I haven’t done this in a decade and it brought everything back within minutes! Thank you 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this content! I'm going back to school and taking a heavy load of math and science, which are my struggle subjects but you've made it so much easier! The simple way you explain things has helped me so much!!
DUDE! Whoever did this video is METAL ASF! I had been stressing out trying to find tutoring to refresh my brain so I can take my ACCUPLACER test, and I can honestly say I feel confident that this will help! Thank you so much!
Thanks a million to your style of teaching math...I needed to review what I have learned in college math and post college - I can do math from my mind just from 5 minutes with your course. Thank you a million times over and over again
YOU ARE AWESOME, AMAZING!!!
Honestly thank you so much. Having been watching you all through high school. You got me through it all. Now I am taking my placement tests and I know you're going to get me through that too.
Your welcome and take care
Thank you so much. Your videos helped me pass a college class where my professor was ABSOLUTELY the worst at explaining what steps to take and when to take them. Keep up the great work.
I'm taking a math placement exam after not having taken a math course in about 10 years; it was a great refresher, thank you very much for putting this together, definitely going to refresh using some of your other vids!
Doing a physics degree, found it really helpful, watched it all the way through, took me nearly 3 hours, please do more!!
my intro to college algebra exam is in 2 hours. This was a refreshing review. You are a life saver.
I feel like I learned a whole semester of algebra in two days watching this video. Thank you!

I am starting college algebra after a million years of being out practice and I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! This is a HUGE HELP!
your welcome as well
I’m in 6th grade and I want to be the smartest person in my school and I want to get into Harvard when I’m older so that’s why I’m watching this
do that then:) good luck
Nice! :D I’m in 8th grade :)

Best of luck ! You got this !
Honestly haven’t taken college algebra in 3 years (failed by 2 points last time which really discouraged me) but now I plan to go back to conquer my fear of math. I feel so good actually remembering this stuff. Thank you so much for the refresher!
Math 1A isn't related to Algebra and or either Math 3. It's because they are different topics taught by teachers.
You're a lifesaver. I'm getting ready to take a college placement test and this was just the kind of refresher I needed.
Thank you so much for making this video. I am taking college algebra now and I have forgotten most of it since I have been out of school for over 15 years but you are bringing me up to date again. Thank you!
your welcome
I'm going to be a freshman in highschool next year and you're by far the best teacher I've listened to🙅♂️🧢
Awesome. I've been teaching myself Calculus to help with Physics and other sciences; but I didn't have the Algebra background I needed, first. So, I started watching these videos of yours and it helped out a great deal. Thanks so much!
You have no idea how many times you've save my grades. THANK YOU AND KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
I really love the breakdown to show exactly why what he's saying is true. It really helps.
Thank you. 😭😭 Really needed this to start college after years away from school.
I love all your videos. Although I didn't pass my Chemistry class when watching your videos at first (especially because I watched your videos last minute with zero study time), I ended up going at it again and getting a B+! Now, I'm watching these videos to prepare myself for the GRE (graduate record examination). Thank you for your time in making these videos.
This video is AMAZING, I'm working through this series to get ready for my college math placement exam and this is so helpful. I made notes based of the video and they're so clean and organized thanks to the clear and concise presentation of all of the information. Thank you so much!!
I have an exam coming up in the next couple weeks this video has already taught me a lot. You are a genius man thank you
This helped me for my Calculus course, you guys know what i'm talking about!
Man...I went back to university after being out of high school for about 10 years, and I have calculus first year; needless to say, I was more than lost when I opened the textbook and the pre-calc "refresher" they gave was a complete joke.
I have my first midterm on Saturday morning, and watching this video is literally going to save me.
Thank you so much!
Why are you better at making this make sense than any teacher i had in high school?
I used this video to prepare for my College Algebra CLEP Exam and it was very useful. He does a great job explaining the concept and even though the video seems long, it goes by very quickly.
Ale Cisneros me too ! Good luck
@@Jessabby09 pass?
Did you do well using this?
Keep learning well in Jesus name Amen 🍫😃🍫😃🍫
Ive always been good at algebra but I feel even more confident now. Great video btw. Very clear and concise. :)
This helped me so much! I thought I forgot all of this but, I didn’t just needed a reminder. I knew the answer before he answered the question he asked 😃
i honestly needed this video... i stop going to school at around 15(was a vary delinquent teen). only passed highschool because i passed the government college qualification exam(basically a test to see if you have the basics needed to get into college) but then didnt go to to college for another 15 years because i was working(manual labor) but now im starting to get my life in order and hopefully get my undergrad and get better opportunities. but im struggling with some of the math problems since i didnt learn them during HS. and this is a good boost of knowledge.
Gotta review algebra for an electrician apprenticeship. I was always pretty good at math, but it's been 5 years since I took any courses. This refresher is really helpful, thank you!
25 years later and I finally get it all!
I’m a sophomore (10th grade) in high school & take this course . this helped me so much 😫😫

This has renewed what I thought I forgot. I’m only 5 min in but you are amazing! You make it so simple and plain to understand. Aldo thanks for tips on breaking it down
Your voice is very calming and it’s straight to the point . Thank you !!! Also just a black background and the equations . Much appreciated !

Awesome! Clear explanations and easy to follow solutions. I'm watching these videos over the summer to be ready for a college algebra class in the fall. Thanks! We need more math teachers like The Organic Chemistry Tutor in schools. I would've loved math more rather than dread it.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, AND THANK YOU AGAIN!! Because I was really nervous about taking Chemistry this semester, because I haven't done math in so long. But the confidence boost this video just gave me is unmatched!

How does this not have more views bro. literally showing this to my kids in the future. they will be so successful in life.
I'm watching this to review for a college placement test. Bless your soul!
How did you do?
@@lifelivelove1 I actually did pretty well! I go to a pretty competitive STEM school so their math and science placements (and classes in general) are harder than usual but I got pretty good score despite not being much of a math person! I was placed into Precalculus, got an A- last semester, and am now taking Calculus A!
I am doing the same thing, so I hope I do as good as you.
You are way better as a teacher than any of my math teachers i've encountered so far in my high school life. I'm on college btw i'm a freshman and i'm taking Computer Engineering, there is a bunch of math subjects such as College and Advanced Algebra, Plane & Spherical Trigonometry, Analytic & Solid Geometry, and Mathematics in the Modern World... Thanks for this lesson, i've learned so much. I just couldn't keep up with the algebra lesson, it's my weakness but you know what look at me learning and entering a field combined with both electrical engineering, computer science and information technology.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. 18 years Ive been out of school and was foolish enough to take a full class load with a full time job. Your video has been an absolute blessing. I can not stress enough how appreciative I am.
Thank you so much! I've been out of school for while and forgot these concepts and you good sir have given me an amazing refresher. Thank you!

Great review...i haven't done algebra in 20 years literally.. And i wish this video existed when i was in highschool in the 90s you made it easy...thank you
Did I watched 10 minutes and you made me smarter than when I was in high school lol thanks for the refresh and extra easy info on how to solve easier.
Thank you so much, this video really does help a lot, though I was also hoping it would go over things like logs and ln
appreciate you brother, idk what to do without u
This video is really good when you forgot everything you learn in high school you come to this for review.
I'm a junior in HS and I start College Algebra on Saturday. Hopefully this helps me!
