Normally racial jokes stem from your own experience. An Indian comic may mock their own culture as they feel something is funny or profound compared to other people. My Korean friend will make jokes about Asian parenting. He’s experienced it. But he wouldn’t just laugh at white people.
The way she delivers it isn’t so much jokes about personal experience it’s literally just shitting on all other people and going “but it’s fine I’m a minority too”. But even forgetting that, the jokes are just shit themselves.
right. as an Indian, we make fun off out own culture a lot of the times, especially the younger generation. but the only people who shit on others (white people, other Asians etc etc) fort no reason are boomers (the bad kind) or just plain racist people.
I’m half Dutch and half Singaporean and my family and I are always talking shit about our cultures and their differences. Like joking which one is better. But the moment someone who isn’t Singaporean or Dutch starts talking shit about my culture they better have written their will.

Piece of advice from a guy who lives in the American South: if you aren’t a Dave Chappelle or a Louis C.K. level comedian then stay away from the traditionally racist American cliche’s like “go back where you came from” or “learn to talk.” Because if the jokes aren’t brilliant (or even pretty funny) then it just comes off as awkward, ill-informed, and super racist.

I used to love her and follow her vlogs early on in her UA-cam career. But ever since she moved to LA, and lost her connection with Toronto.
