    Always leave a turbo engine idle a few minutes after a long drive. It will help the turbo last a very long time. You can Google that and get more information on this subject.

    Great video! Thank you for showing the correct way the oil filler gasket goes, I had to replace mine and I was not sure of the right way to install it. Other videos do not show it even though it is part of the process.

    should apply oil to the new o-rings for better sealing before re-install.

      I used plain water, I cover the intake tube with plastic or a rag, then I spray the engine plastic with a tire shine then wipe it down and tried getting the whole area wiped, might do a quick video on this

    Is using the extractor pump better than draining it from under the car?

    • @Critycal1
      @Critycal1  3 роки тому

      For instance depending where you take your car for an oil change, an extrator may be used, I used the extrator and don't see a difference from draining it, using the extrator is just convenient

    why would you need to mark the oil filter canister?

    • @Critycal1
      @Critycal1  6 місяців тому +1

      in case you don't have a torque wrench

    • @johnb7287
      @johnb7287 3 місяці тому

      You don’t need to mark it, it doesn’t guarantee proper torque applied to cap, just makes no actual sense.

    Can find the oil plug underneath. No extractor tool

    • @Critycal1
      @Critycal1  Рік тому

      If you are changing your motor oil from underneath, you need to remove the splash cover right under the engine, then you will see the oil drain plug

    What kind of oil do I use for 2017 mercedes-Benz C300 4matic sedan?

    • @Critycal1
      @Critycal1  Місяць тому

      Car uses full synthetic 0W-40, Mobil 1, about 7 Quarts, when pouring the 7th quart measure with dip stick until full, this is what Mercedes recommends for DIY oil changes

    Why not just remove the drain plug from the bottom?

    • @Critycal1
      @Critycal1  2 роки тому +1

      It's actually much simpler, and same tecnic oil change as the dealer, I had no issues doing the oil change with the extractor, plus it saves time
