Love this video. Takes me back to the old days when we didn't have pretied stock ties. Love Smartpaker Sarah! I've done a lot of comedic acting and she's great! Did she ever do any acting? She's great!
Thanks Sarah! Very informative. Of course being the lazy person I am, I usually go for the pre-tied stock tie. As a matter of fact, I have that same stock tie an pin in the first clip. Purchased by Smartpak of course! :D

I think the commenter means this is a good presentation of the steps, but the final tie is unkempt. If the knot at the throat is asymmetrical, it should be because the rider prefers a tighter fit around the neck, a functional purpose. For aesthetic purposes alone, it should be loosened and squared into a turned out look. This version does the worst of both and gets the benefit of neither. To keep it square for an 18 hour day of Eventing, try a slightly looser knot secured with a thin safety pin between the throat knot and the collar of the shirt. The bigger stock pin is to hold the crossed tails secure across the collar blade line of the shirt.
