    Lovely playing and Daniel Roth is always so humble and obliging and welcoming and happy to act as registrant. It’s a treat to hear Bach on this organ too.

    A wonderful concert with an absolute highlight: Prof. Deutsch playing his own transcription of "Les Preludes" by Liszt! It is fantastic! Thanks to the registrants Pierre-Francois Dub-Attenti , Daniel Roth and another gentleman. They did a fantastic job,too!

    Vielen Dank Herr Deutsch !

    Just a minor point about this tremendous instrument. One would think after all this time a better music rack system could be installed. It doesn't appear large (wide) enough for the oversized organ scores and seems to obscure the top (5th) manual. I kept worrying the score would fall off in the middle of a performance.

    • @PierreFrancoisDUBATTENTI

      we worried quite a lot as well during first half of the concert... to answer your point, we need to better lighten the upper keyboards next time^

      What about a both effective and unobtrusive LED illumination (reversible attachment)? I would never replace the rack that is rich in history, only enlarge it reversibly with a broad thin plexiglass.

      That too is my concern. I have a Content 346 organ at home and my music rack is also to small. My son, a wood worker built me a new rack and it works as it should.

    Thank you so much for sharing and making this available to a greater public who cannot just drop by in Paris every other week! I have one question, though: Is it not usual for the audience to applaude after a piece is finished? Is there some sort of custom different to "usual" concerts?

    • @michaelpatoschka293
      @michaelpatoschka293 4 роки тому

      When the concert is extraordinary, there will be applause. We have this in Germany in the Duisburg Salvator Church where there will rise spontaneous applause after a well played piece by the organist, e.g.. pieces of Bach and Buxtehude and so on.
