There's just something so cool about tillage on a snow covered field.
Your production is amazing. Perfect balance of information along with just plain ole tractor noise. Thank you for doing what you do on a 22 degree day.
Thank you for watching. The sound of the machine running is my favorite part. It was a bit cold on my hands filming this tractor. It’s hard to film with gloves on. Well worth it to get the footage.
Yeah that's exactly why I love btp as well, no stupid music, just awesome footage and sound, no more, no less, just how it should be.
I actually love this tractor, this was a great tractor for 2015, this tractor was offered from 2015 to 2016 with steel fender fuel tanks, and the other 9570R was offered from 2017 to 2020 with the new poly tanks
That tractor is a monster! The chisel plow really fluffs up the soil! really cool!
Most people don't realize what it takes to pull a chisel plow. The power these tractors are ABLE to put down on the ground these days is really something.
One heck of a darn good tractor. JD has it going on with this machine....Brut power ...thanks for posting 👍👍
I really like the Turbo Chisel, it’s a perfect cross between a ripper and chisel plow!
I noticed that after a pass with that chisel the field surface is about 9 inches higher than the un-chiseled areas, awesome tractor
That opening shot was great 👌
Thank you for the hard work you do for us👍
Now that’s power!!
less than a month and the field cultivators will run in 🤘 so excited 😍
If it quits raining
I remember days like these. Cold and gloomy with a few flurries. Seems most outdoor stuff was a little more difficult.
Great video love the channel. It's mind blowing for some of us old boys who still consider a 1086 a newer big tractor. In the mid 90's I remember spreading manure on snow covered fields with a Same Hercules thinking I couldn't believe anything so big and powerful with so much traction. A man with a contract for Kellogg's had a beat up Versatile. It was the only articulated tractor in the area and the only thing bigger than the Hercules and we referred to him as the corn king, because again for all us 100 cow farmers that was as big of an operation as we could imagine. Seeing the snow and fresh earth like that makes the field feel so new and clean again.
I remember the IH 1086 brand new at my local IH dealer. I was shocked when the all red 5088 came out. Many of the classics I film still seem like new tractors to me. The 70’s, 80’s and 90’d were a great time in big iron.
Man that ripper was droppin wayyyy down coming into the row and the ol JD didn't even put out a puff,.... Greta would be proud.
PIPER DOUG Did you see the huge muffler? That is the particulate filter. That is what they need the diesel exhaust fluid to clean out. It still puffs soot. It is captured and returned.
Betcha that farmer is gonna hate the constant break downs due to a clogged muffler & egr valves. Or when the def heater decides to crap out. These new machines are nothing but expensive headaches.
@@Vickvineager My big ass ache with my NH T6.180 is it keeps getting crystals stuck in the def jet and it put the tractor in limp mode, up to 4 times since it got really cold.
I wish we had snow
That is one serious workhorse of a tractor yeah I love the street patterns in the shower
👍👍
It's amazing to see such kind of tractor in working-conditions. Great video!
Big girl working hard with the chisel plow 🚜👍
John Deere is the best
Nice tractor
Very nice enjoyed it. 👍
@bigtractorpower great video. I especially liked the opening shot of the tractor coming right at the camera. Nice job.
Sweet Deere
Awesome 🚜🚜👍👍
Good job and excellent video.
Great video ,thanks.
Thank you for watching.
Very nice.
excellent winter action, thumb up :) greetings
It is ripping that ground up for sure
That thing is staying in place and just rotating earth to turn the soil!
Nice footage of a great macine!
Thank you for watching.
Let’s the green star do the work👏
👍👍
It’s so nice I use it on our 9520r and 9330 and kick back and watch UA-cam while it goes down the field discing and ripping That is until you need to lift up and turn
Sure has the power to pull the chiesel plow
Can't put a percentage on it, but I suggest wheel slippage is fairly high in these conditions.
Great video as always btp... 👍👍
Nice👍🏻
Big green iron. 😁👍👍
Were you just a little bit envious of the driver sitting in his toasty warm cab?
If I am not out on the ground the channel is not seeing footage like this of different tillage continuous. 🥶👍
Balls out and hoooked uuup, stirrin dirt.
Crazy price tag
Big investment. This tractor will do nearly 1,000 hours of work in a year.
Hi!Super!!👍👍👍
Thank you for watching.
Question is there a magic hours number farmers use on big tractors to know when to trade in ?
I'd like to see a video on the cost of all this equipment.
This primary till operation with a chisel is made every year on a single field? or a year yes and the other not?
How much frost can it handle before all hell breaks loose?
Hello
Opening the ground kills pests and weeds.
👍👍👍👌🤝
Has Garnett Farms sprayed fertilizer on the 2020 wheat crop yet?
Not yet. Maybe this week. 2 inches of rain in the forecast tomorrow then it is supposed to fall to 15 degrees. If it freezes up fast they are ready to roll on spraying.
Seeing someone c-plow at this time of year is odd to me. I hope that ground dries out enough for planting day. If the snow/ice and frozen soil is now buried, won't it take longer for the frozen moisture to melt & evaporate out of the ground? Nice equipment, though. Nice video. Thanks.
not being used to these large tractors could at some point someone stand next to one so i can get some perspective how large these are why i say this is i own a ford 3000 super dexta and dont do any thing bigger
Hey Jason I wish you were in town when I was working at the farm with Matt but as soon as we get closer to go time I will be back up there for the rest of the year. Have a good one and talk to you later
Sounds good. I was in St. Louis filming for Toy Tractor Times. Looking forward to spring field work. .
@@bigtractorpower I understand completely. Springfield work is just around the corner as long we don't get anymore rain it's been raining way to much right now but we will be in the field soon enough
I fear Western Ky will never be dry all over again this year.
It will dry. Hopefully it does not get to dry. I often fear all the rain will come fore planting and then disappear. It happened in 2007 and 2012. Wet winter and then no rain from May to November.
@@bigtractorpower 🤞🤞🤞🤞 it doesnt work that way this time
👏👏👍👍🚜🚜🚜🇧🇷🇧🇷
Whats the difference between a ripper and a chisel plow?
A ripper has deeper running heavier duty shanks that typically are set at 16 to 18 inches where a chisel plow is set 9-12 inches.
@@bigtractorpower thankyou sir!
Do farmers really need such large and expensive equipment? Makes me wonder.
To cover thousands of acres in a 10 day window with only a few people. They absolutely do. With rain that can keep a crop from being planted or harvested in time big machines make sure the job gets done.
I'm just curious how they are able to afford equipment like this when it's so expensive...
Lots of debt and need lots of land.
The tractor to the right of the 9570R at 2:00 has 6 tires on the rear?
Yes that is a 9620R with triple tires (12 tires all around). The triple tires are the same width as the big dual tires. I think triples ride smoother.
@@bigtractorpower Are all the tires loaded?
That’s not snow. It’s a very light dusting at best.
In Kentucky that’s about as good as it gets for snow. If the snow was much more they would not be in the field.
bigtractorpower. Just teasing you. that Deere could easily till in a foot of snow. Bring it North for some fun.
Not supposed to plow in the snow... its where the weeds will be next year...
drive jd 9620 in fs 17 and fs19
I suspect that was your four door Chevy in the background.
My question is: Who can afford one half million dollars for a tractor?
Banks must love farmers.
Yes that is my Silverado. This tractor will do nearly 1,000 hours of work in a year. It’s a big investment for a big jobs. In WKY half the ground on each farm produces two crops a year. Wheat in June and double crop soybeans in October.
Ye dont want to see what the rest of the stuff costs then eh.
When you’re using auto steer use it properly you don’t need to much fucking overlap
Doesn't surprise me about the price. JD wants 47K for a compact 4052M tractor - ridiculous.
Meow
must be desperate its never a good idea to work snow into the ground.
Why is not good to work snow in?
