"This is the most useful you are a good person sharing so much of your talent......
Thanks mam 👍
I became your ekalavya student since 2021. Thanks madam.
Very useful! Looking forward for other swaras!
Merci infiniment pour votre travail. Vos vidéo sont formidable. Merci pour le partage de votre culture musicale 🎶💜🎶
Please do continue with all remaining swaraas mam
This is jus wonderful...loved the way u have explained it.Thank so much mam
So R1 is R flat, yes? If translating into Western terminology R2 sounds like the note D in a s h a n k e r b a r a n a m beginning on the western note C
yes, that's correct
Yes! Other ways to think of it in western musical terms: In solfege, ri1 would sound like ra or di, while ri2 would sound like re. Using ri1, the notes would be “do di mi” or “do ra mi,” and ri2 would be “do re mi.” I find it very helpful to compare and contrast the sa-ri-ga sargam to do-re-mi solfege.

நன்றி 🙏 thank you 😊😊😊😊. Merci😊😊😊😊😊
Dhanyawad Pratibha Ji, I will hear this video several times, especially since, I'm exploring exclusively the 3 Ns at the moment, & now you have got me into the Rs also❤
Thank you so much for this!
I am a training Carnatic singer and this video of yours really helped in understanding the difference between Suddha Rishabham and Chatushruti Rishabham, more deeply and accurately.
I actually have a request to make. Please make more videos on HOW to sing gamakas.
I did check out your video on the types of gamakas, (which was again a very helpful video).
But I (along with your audience too I hope) would really appreciate it if you made a detailed video on how to sing certain gamakas.. the techniques to sing them, I mean.
Hope you understood what I’m trying to say!
Thanks again, please keep making more such videos. It really helps a lot.
All the best and stay safe!!
Madam, thanks alot. Thousands of namaskarams. Really waiting for this. Please continue for remaining swara sthanams also. May God bless you
Excellent
Please continue the same excersice with all the swaras mam...
Hi Mam, I love your videos. You are teaching simple techniques. They are actually essential for learning carnatic music in a clear way.
You are very ideal guru understanding from the students view ...
Absolutely amazing..God Bless You Always
Thanks a lot mam it's very useful for me🙏
Interesting! In western music, r1 would be used in a “minor scale”, and r2 would be used in a “major” scale.
Sometimes composers like to make a piece of music more interesting by switching one ri out for the other in the middle of a song, for dramatic or emotional effect. That would be called a “chromatic” note.
No it wouldnt be a minor scale. There's no m2 in minor scale, D - E - F - G A - Bb - C - D, D->E = M2, Sa - Ri1 would be C-Db
@@OmegaThirty Stheere just want to say that R1 or m2 has quality of minor mode like Phrygian
An excellent video clearly explaining such a fundamental topic. Kudos 👏
All I can say is stay blessed in abundance always 💞
Very good idea about R1 & R2
And I believe R is a important Swara
Thanks ji

Hi Pratibha Ji ! :-) I have heard of another system of Svaras, with Ri-1(Shuddha Rishabham), Ri-2(Chatushruti Rishabham) and Ri-3 (Shatshruti Rishabham), Ga-1 (Shuddha Gandharam), Ga-2 (SaadhaaraNa Gandharam) etc. etc. Could you tell me if it is more useful ! :-)
Sadharana ghandaram is ga1 man not ga2..and ga2 is andhara gandaram..and she was explaining difference of the swarasthanas ri1 and ri2 only..can u tell me where she have told about the system of swaras other than u mentioned here in ur comment..
