Looks yummy Kathy. My mom would make fruit salad and it was so good. Thank you for sharing and hope you have a wonderful day.❤😊

Looks so yummy! That would be great for a Christmas dish. I would have to leave out the coconut though. My daughter is allergic. Thank you Kathy.

Kathy, there is a tool that really makes it easy to do pull tabs. I bought mine in a hardware store.

I love this salad Kathy and have made it for years but a bit differently. I use 2 large cans of fruit cocktail in light juice, pineapple chunks, manderin oranges all drained, then just sour cream. No coolwhip, marshmallows or coconut. Never thought of adding a banana. It is easy to make a smaller amount for just the 2 of us and nothing is better than a cold ambrosia salad. Yours with the coolwhip and marshmallows would make it go much farther for a bigger crowd. Thank you for the reminder - I need to make some. 🙂 Liked and shared as always.

It sounds delicious! I have made it before using fruit cocktail but it was called Heavenly Hash.

@@kathysrandomactsofstampin It is amazing how sweet it is with just sour cream - the cool whip and marshmallows would stretch it a long way though.

I made mine with all the traditional ingredients but as I said, you make it yours. If you don't like sour cream, then leave it out. I love that touch of tang that the sour creams give it. But to each his own. This is why I love cooking, we can add or delete things we love or hate. Sending blessing to your home from mine.

LO E THIS SALAD. I NOTICED YOU THREW THE CAN AWAY, ITH THE LID STILL OPEN. CRINGE. FOR YOUR SAFETY, PUSH THE LID BELOW THE RIM OF THE CAN, TO PROTECT YOU AND PEOPLE HANDLING THE GARBAGE FROM GETTING CUT.

I wasn't thinking at that moment due to my can opener that I use most of the time cuts the rim off and there are no sharp edges. I forgot I was using a can with a pull lid and yes they are sharp. I'll pay more attention to those going forth.
