The Babylonian influence upon its successors and even modern society knows no bounds. One of the leading civilizations of Mesopotamia, the Babylonians provided the fundamentals of mathematics, agriculture, architecture, metallurgy, and other influential and necessary fields required to develop other great civilizations such as the Greeks, Romans, and even contemporary nations like China and the United States. Without them, no neoteric world could exist.

As I perceive it, time is location and motion. Think about how time is developed, that being *where* the sun or moon is in the sky determines what time it is, so to speak. The Earth is divided into degrees, hours, minutes, seconds which can be utilized to determine *where* something/someone is. The motion part of time is based on the speed of objects to traverse locations based on the size of the location via the moving object's perpetual motion relative to its surroundings. Example: we identify a "year" by marking the location of the Earth relative to the Sun. Hypothetically, if we began our year at mid-Spring, when the Earth's axis is perfectly perpendicular to the Sun's equator (or center, basically when northern and southern hemispheres receive equal amounts of daylight from the Sun,) then the rest of the year is continually identified by the Earth's axis relative to the Sun. If the axis is shifted towards the Sun, then you are in a "summer" state. If shifted away, then it's "winter." The year is measured/divided by increments of space through which Earth passes as it moves around the Sun until it reaches the starting space, making that one year.
That's just my basics theory on time perception. Time comes when it sees fit.

The sun is the same in a relative way
    But you're older
Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death
