Pretty chronic ping from the GK75. That would drive me insane without lubing the springs. The old Gat Opticals weren't that bad.
980 sounds great though. Must be the switches.
Yeah I agree the GK75 is a bit more pingy but also in person it doesn't sound too bad, I think the space bar is probably the worst in terms of sound but the GK980 SOUNDS WAAYY better.
@@SocialHardware It sounds like spring ping from inside the switches. Factory has used cheap crunchy springs and not oiled them. Real Gat Optis don't have this. Bag oiling the springs could be done in like 30 mins, but most people buying pre-built aren't going to want to do that.
Hollow spacebars are fixed with a later or two of masking tape inside the cap. Super beginner friendly. 😊
Yeah I definitely noticed that too
Bro I've just been looking at the Aluminium CNC'd SKYLOONG GK980! Then saw this video pop up 🤙 Super intrigued by those rotary knobs! You said you can make a knob do Copy/Paste, so you can set multi-key macro's to each direction of a knob?
bro i am soo satisfied with the sound test of the GK75 BRO
I was looking at the gk75 miami light model(all black) and noticed that it doesn't have the Bluetooth as an option. Is there any solution to this?
I really need help, I plugged in my gk75 on my pc and nothing happens like I can’t type or anything
Great review!
Thanks very much mate!
Is this compatible with qmk/mia ? I don’t like the idea to download software from their site
Can you separate the space bar intro 3 keys in the GK75 too? Or is this exclusive to the 980? Thank you, nice review
Yes you can
Which model would you get?
Trying to find something about the knobs and is just barley mentioned in the review. how do they feel? is like smooth or like the knobs they are being putting in previos keyboards? can they be used for slider in apps like photoshop or lightroom?
hey mate, they feel good and have a nice textured feel on the outside and gives you some little tactile bumps as you rotate it. as far as photoshop or lightroom etc, it doesnt with the in built software but I'm sure with some 3rd party software it might be possible.
Can you remap the GK75 Home, Del and Pu keys? One reviewer says it cannot be done.
Yeah you can with software, bit tricky but it can be done.
I would prefer the GK75. Does the knob also function as a key? I noticed you could depress it.
Hey mate, yeah it does. I set mine as a mute/unmute.
@@SocialHardware Thank you!
I wish i could afford this😢
i love them cus they cheap
