Notice on 5850, a broadcast station, that your tuning indicator is not working. I found that if you press the top switch next to the BW indicator, and change it to move the red light to the right , then the tuning indicator will work correctly in AM. At least thats how it is on my AEG 800

Before I repair it or replace the encoder, I would like to look at the schematic diagram, so that I can understand the fault and possibly decide what kind of new encoder to mount. Please, if is possible, could you send me a picture or scan of the tuning control circuit? Thankyou Th

I agree, the built-in speaker in an EKD500 is much better than on the AEG. However, an external speaker levels the playing field!
