One of the most heart breaking backstories but touching and meaningful to me. I wish she could have been there in the beginning more so we could have heard more.
So Yasha Orphanmaker had her love ripped from her by her bloodthirsty tribe... I doubt her beloved would want her to be alone for the entirety of her life. Perhaps the Stormlord saved her so she might be his champion, and will reward her well by helping her find her heart again.
That's my theory too. She's shackled, right? I wonder how much of that is her torturing herself and refusing to accept love. She's so afraid of betraying Zuala and also of losing someone again. Ahhh Yasha. ❤

Beau hits it and quits it because getting genuinely close to someone would mean being vulnerable and she's terrified of that because she's been treated like she's not enough and run out on her whole life. Yasha is terrified to get close to anyone because... Well, Zuala but also just... everything. She's lost sooo muuuuch. Aaah! Imagine the growth they'd need to have to trust each other enough to be together in the end. I'm so keen for the satisfying slow burn relationship build up thing. I'd love to see them make a pact that they won't run out on each other. Yasha will wake up the next morning and Beau will still be there, and Beau won't need to deal with her deap-seeded abandonment issues whenever she hears thunder because Yasha won't yasha on her. That's the dream eh

Well, I'm thinking that the order of events might have been Yasha got lost in Jhorjas and Obhan found her and used her because she was an Aasimar. Yasha said at one point that she was the only one in her tribe like this. And then she said she lost months of time wich i think was Obhan then The storm lord saved her by turning off the mind control and brought her to a shrine or temple to him. Yasha said she woke up looking different. So her hair turned white and maybe skin got pale? As she followed the storm lord and Beau, feathers came into her wings.
At first I felt like this backstory and Yasha's moment came out of nowhere and were rushed, but damn if I didn't die inside when she told about the flowers... Damn you CR, for causing these feels!!!
