1 pixel brush feels like drawing with a colored pencil. if you give it the time, youll find that it makes a lot of things intuitive and easy. its a good tool to have in your repertoire and its essential to pull out in the polish phase, when you have the broad strokes figured out. - 1px brush is great for edge control, subtle color variation, nooks/crannies, accentuating contrast, construction, non-committal decision making and so on. its a big waste of time to bring out in the mid phase of the drawing but its really comfortable to do so if you want, since its so non-committal.
1 thing that AI will never be able to do is to create smth someone wants PERFECTLY right unlike humans (Ik u cant really call stuff perfect but as a human u understand ur own wants in a drawing more than AI)
I mean the main thing pushing AI isn't its accuracy, but rather its convenience; I still commission things when I can but it's mainly the artwork for main villains and player characters, but as a DnD game master, I can't afford to commission 40+ pieces a month at like $60 to $100 per piece for every NPC and such

Ai art wasn't made to make things that matter. It was programmed to make things similar to what a prompt wants, so it can quickly lose small details. But with real artists, even the most simplified detail will have its own artistic comprehension in its own interpretive or stylistic way. There's a quote I heard that was something like "the closer you look at ai art, the more you feel punished for looking. But the closer you look at a real artist's work, the more you will be rewarded." This goes for all of the amazing people you've shown in this video but I especially think that that quote shines when you were analyzing rinotuna's brachiosaurus character. You really could stare at it for hours.

14:02 i think he is the master of telling EVERYTHING in one art piece Not only he makes incredibly creative designs,he also tells about every other aspect of the characters through the expressions, poses and environment. my favourite works from him are those where there are multiple characters connected to each other. You can clearly tell what their relationship is, what they are doing and what kind of world they live in Most other artists focused on character design tend to just draw the character standing or floating (nothing wrong with that I'm talking about myself lol), but he goes further and beyond
14:27, this Crocodile and girl would be cool characters in an anime or manga, some manga artist could probably help him adapt his illustrations into his own little manga world...though I suppose he has already done that with the stories he's telling with his illustrations.
we should stop calling AI stupid. It's like saying a pencil is stupid. An AI is a tool. It's the users of AI that claims their output as 'art' that needs to be addressed. AI is actually pretty groundbreaking in terms of advancement in tech.
2 years? 10 years? 2 decades? Just to get your job replaced by machine? You chosed a job with such unstable market, its probably your own fault for being soo replacable.
Honestly I think the future is very negative, anyone will not be "special" and u too. Since the technology will give u what u need or want. Everyone can claime being a chef, an artist, etc
All of these artists blow gen ai out of the water not just because of skill, but because of the strength of their ability to communicate intent. And they take it to a level of layered intent that gen ai cannot ever hope to compete with. There's so much going on in these but they all serve to strengthen & communicate the image and the mood or the ideas or objects they are intended for. Even the 'best' gen ai I've seen is full of things that are vague or make no sense - which is at 'best' a sign of mediocre or or just outright bad art.
I love A.I and it would never substitute a artist. Even if the ai became self aware. It would just be abother being. And i would still want a kjg or karl kopinski art ;-;
I loved than yooooooo classic Japanese soundtrack I see many times in anime; it is indeed a breath of fresh air By the way the person who draw anime out of stuff is Noice; there some serious creativity going on.
U know, I tend to find it weird how people draw in general when I see UA-cam videos; for what I'm seeing how people do the art, my art process is completely a whole different dimension; I draw kind of naturally aggressive frustrating "hard try" "Edge Lord" person and it is apparently my default behavior Also; Minimum brush size, I call that master class clicking art. There is knowledge in the small individual pixels Cat girls stonk, this is professionalism at its finest; "ah yes, a person of culture"
Sure, a real artists' artwork may have actual soul and motivation behind it. And yes, a piece from a real human artist is usually better than most AI generated stuff (for now, anyways.) But here is the unfortunate truth : Most companies and employers do not really care that there was real human creativity behind the artwork. Their first priorities are *time and money.* And if they have the option of choosing between an artist, who can do their required commissions for a price, that usually ranges somewhere in the thousands of dollars, along with several weeks or months of needed time to finish VS. An AI that can do the job with maybe 85 - 90% quality compared to the human artist, but do it for less than 1% of the price and in less than a few hours, what do you think most companies will choose?
i hate the ai dubbed option on yt, such a shame that they dont have an "aways original video audio" option on yt yes i can change the dubbed audio of the video but it gets worse when i have to do in every video, because now even small channels have the option to do dubbed audio everyone just puts an AI translation, i can change the default on yt to english, but now every video with the dubbed audio option on my country is going to default to an english ai
@@fabiorodrigues3371 yeah that's annoying, but because this is one of the new features I think it's will be fixed or they will add some options in the yt settings that allows u to turn off this dubbing.
True that These artists are on another levels,, but Ai can make 100's or 1000's of insane drawing before the artist finish 1 image.. and Ai can also be trained to do even better and to do any painting styles.. I think @Maikeru are on his "The Five Stages of Grief".. accept the future bro..
ok,,, You shouldn't say "there is no way in 100 years I could learn to draw that" because you could probably learn to surpass this honestly if you wanted. 100 years is a long ass time. you could probably match or do better in less than 10. Craft mastery is real and people are cracked when they invest themselves consistently.
I don't know man. I feel like AI could be used to help artists with their creative process instead of straight up replacing them. Although I do agree AI generated art could never replace real art, I don't see how diminishing or entirely dismissing a potential tool to help you is the way to go. Technology is always advancing, moving forward, you gotta learn to adapt. I personally use AI image models to "conceptualize" the characters from my novel projects, and it helps a lot, especially since I can't draw, that way I can visualize the characters. Although there was no human touch (to some extent, because I usually edit them in photoshop afterwards) in the practical process, the idea and intention where there. Don't get me wrong though, I don't condone people who post AI images while claiming as their art, but original ideas have the right to be appreciated, regardless of the medium
Well, AI has its uses. For when you want to illustrate something for marketing, for instance, but are not a good artist or have much time left. But, as for art as a form of appreciation, AI will never be as good as artists. I'd pay for something made by these artists, but I'd pay nothing for something made by AI.
When you move the "gallery" the images jerk unpleasantly... by the way, maybe you could move them even slower? there aren't many images shown there anyway.
Yeah I agree, but now I know why it's jerky and how to fix that in the next parts. And I slowed them down a bit compared to the other parts but yeah, that's still too fast
Rule #69 for being an artist: Never hate your own art abilities because every piece of art holds value. By putting yourself down, you may unintentionally undermine other artists who are at different stages in their journey. "For example, at 5:37, when you called your own art pathetic, you weren’t just criticizing yourself-you also unintentionally implied that my abilities, which aren’t at your level, are just as bad."
@@anandchoure1343 I will hate my art as much as I want and honestly I don't care about fact that by hating my art I undermining art of others artists. Why will my words have more value for you than your own liking, but if drawing is bad it's bad doesn't matter how u like or don't like it, if u have bad colors, perspective, anatomy etc., it's a bad art but there is nothing actually bad about it cuz c'mon, u are learning on mistakes after all. And hating your own art is one of the things that helps you to improve. My art is shit, I hate it. And my goal is to improve so much that I can start liking my art.
rhinotuna is awesome. been folowing them for a long time. also been using generative ai equally as long. would i ever compare myself to rhinotuna? no. do i think most people against ai-art are ignorant fools. 100%.
I am not an artist or an expert or anything but are you sure that one image at 1:30 isn't ai? the globe in the background seems really weird, like the globe is behind the furniture but the arch holding it is in front of the furniture and it just stops out of nowhere... it just doesn't add up
@@Maikeruartjp then what is going on with the background? there's a painting half hiding behind the shelf, the arcs around the globe don't connect, there isn't enough depth between the furniture in front of the globe and shelves behind it to fit the globe, or for the shelves to make sense... Not trying to accuse the art of being AI, I am really just confused, struggling to understand what is going on with that background wall

Not only he makes incredibly creative designs,he also tells about every other aspect of the characters through the expressions, poses and environment. my favourite works from him are those where there are multiple characters connected to each other. You can clearly tell what their relationship is, what they are doing and what kind of world they live in
Most other artists focused on character design tend to just draw the character standing or floating (nothing wrong with that I'm talking about myself lol), but he goes further and beyond
Yeah and that's incredible
Am I the only one that thought he was drawing that girl with a giant slong at first?
With what?

This one who is drawing on the vegetables? Yeah he is insane
The first artist literally has the most generic, ai-like style lol
Artificial intelligence cannot beat real intelligence, simply because it is not real intelligence.
The people's Goats vs greed's machine
Yes it's not real intelligence and because of this, it's an artificial intelligence.
Be OBSESSED about your craft
I love A.I and it would never substitute a artist. Even if the ai became self aware. It would just be abother being. And i would still want a kjg or karl kopinski art ;-;

I loved than yooooooo classic Japanese soundtrack I see many times in anime; it is indeed a breath of fresh air
By the way the person who draw anime out of stuff is Noice; there some serious creativity going on.
15:04 - I DO HOPE YOU WILL BE IN VIDEOS LIKE THIS AS WELL! ❤
U know, I tend to find it weird how people draw in general when I see UA-cam videos;
for what I'm seeing how people do the art, my art process is completely a whole different dimension; I draw kind of
naturally aggressive frustrating "hard try" "Edge Lord" person and it is apparently my default behavior

Cat girls stonk, this is professionalism at its finest; "ah yes, a person of culture"

Sure, a real artists' artwork may have actual soul and motivation behind it. And yes, a piece from a real human artist is usually better than most AI generated stuff (for now, anyways.)
But here is the unfortunate truth : Most companies and employers do not really care that there was real human creativity behind the artwork. Their first priorities are *time and money.*
And if they have the option of choosing between an artist, who can do their required commissions for a price, that usually ranges somewhere in the thousands of dollars, along with several weeks or months of needed time to finish
VS.
An AI that can do the job with maybe 85 - 90% quality compared to the human artist, but do it for less than 1% of the price and in less than a few hours, what do you think most companies will choose?
Very cool
Im gonna train our company's AI model with these people's art pieces! Thanks for the leads

i hate the ai dubbed option on yt, such a shame that they dont have an "aways original video audio" option on yt
yes i can change the dubbed audio of the video but it gets worse when i have to do in every video, because now even small channels have the option to do dubbed audio everyone just puts an AI translation, i can change the default on yt to english, but now every video with the dubbed audio option on my country is going to default to an english ai
@@fabiorodrigues3371 yeah that's annoying, but because this is one of the new features I think it's will be fixed or they will add some options in the yt settings that allows u to turn off this dubbing.
@@Maikeruartjp i hope so
Talk about entitled. So vision impaired people in non-english speaking countries should just go do one? Cool take bro!
True that These artists are on another levels,, but Ai can make 100's or 1000's of insane drawing before the artist finish 1 image..
and Ai can also be trained to do even better and to do any painting styles..

ok,,, You shouldn't say "there is no way in 100 years I could learn to draw that" because you could probably learn to surpass this honestly if you wanted.
Rinotuna is the main charackter.

Well, AI has its uses. For when you want to illustrate something for marketing, for instance, but are not a good artist or have much time left.
But, as for art as a form of appreciation, AI will never be as good as artists. I'd pay for something made by these artists, but I'd pay nothing for something made by AI.
Bro 0:30 made me have the wrong idea at first and was worried someone would enter my room just in the worst part
AI can copy that or make similar art with the technique
please do mangaka that will destroy ai.

Only the talentless uses prompts to generate 😪
Or lazy
They are not talentless they just don’t have the competence to teach themselves how to draw better. Drawing is a skill not a talent.

I am not an artist or an expert or anything but are you sure that one image at 1:30 isn't ai? the globe in the background seems really weird, like the globe is behind the furniture but the arch holding it is in front of the furniture and it just stops out of nowhere... it just doesn't add up
@@3uick that's not an ai
@@Maikeruartjp then what is going on with the background? there's a painting half hiding behind the shelf, the arcs around the globe don't connect, there isn't enough depth between the furniture in front of the globe and shelves behind it to fit the globe, or for the shelves to make sense... Not trying to accuse the art of being AI, I am really just confused, struggling to understand what is going on with that background wall
Yep! Was thinking the same thing. There's something weird going on with the globe's arches
