HELLO do you mind me asking you about the ( windows part) how did you do it because the map art choice isn't there in the 2022 illustrator version , where is it and how to do it . great tutorial thank you very much
Kudos for this great instruction! It is the hallmark of genius to be able to explain complicated things in simple ways. You are among the best at doing this.
For anyone not seeing the same options (like Map Art) on the latest version of Illustrator, you can go to Effect > 3D and Materials > 3D (Classic) > Extrude and Bevel (Classic) to get to the same menu shown. Or you can use the new 3D and Materials panel, click on Materials, then Graphics, and add/move your windows around the object there.
Just found it! Go to 3d extrude > materials > either graphics or graphs (my Ai isn't in english) > your graphs > scroll down and you should find it. The resizing tool is a bit finicky tho
Hello, thank you for the tutorial. Do you have any advice for rescaling the buildings once done. When i try, everything moves and scales on its own. Thank you.
Hello, thanks for this. I get a msg on my laptop saying there is not enough RAM memory to process the look of the 3d illustrations (even with only 2 squares at 2:30 approx). Is this very heavy on a machine? I have 16 GB RAM. Anyway solution for this? Thanks
Was obviously an awesome tutorial 3 years ago but sadly I can't follow it with the newer version of Illustrator - had to abort - will go and look at your library to see if you have added an updated version - might be a good idea to remove this one now maybe.

Does 3d effect crate raster images?
Neat!
4:21 Illustrator 2024's way of mapping a symbol on a 3D shape is not very handy now. The 2020's version (like you are using) is waaaaaaaaaaay better!
Wao❤😍

Is Adobe Illustrator to only isometric 3D designer??
Just to say your appearance panel is the lower left not right 🙂
