I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the hardwork you're putting in. I cannot express enough how helpful your videos have been in helping me grow as a designer. Thank you so very much!
Great tutorial.. I have been trying to find a better understandable tutorial on Isometrics.. And now I am so relieved and happy that it's very easy.. Thanks a ton!!!🤝
Tried figuring out how to do this on my own for a while. It was extremely frustrating. Your way was much simpler and came out perfect. Thank you for this video.
Very easy to understand tutorial! Helped me a lot. I was drawing my windows manually with helping lines, and his improved my workflow so much! Thanks for the great video
I had discovered your channel and I’m just obsessed whit it! And grateful for you be such a good soul! Your knowledge about AI is incredible! Thank you for sharing and help us to learn more ☺️
Great tutorial, thanks. Would you still draw this builing the same way or would you now use the 3D effects in Illustrator? I'm just learning so apologies if that's a dumb question.
So I just got pretty much the same effect as follows: Draw a circle. Effect > 3D> Extrude & Bevel to make a tall cylinder Draw a window then duplicate H & V and turn it into a symbol Select the cylinder Edit the 3D effect from the properties panel Click the option Map Art > choose the Cylinder Face (out of the 3 surfaces available) > Select the windows symbol I just made and it's magically wrapped around the cylinder!
Love your videos, I have a really hard design that Im working on but can not figure out how to fix it. Im making a anglied building and it has see thru windows..i figured out how to get the sides but i cant figure out the back..any tips? Its basicly a pyramid without the point on top...
Sounds like a cool design. I would go about the back following (if it is in isometric view): You can temporarily turn off the fill of the sides, so you can see the back (or where the shapes need to go for the back). That will give you a good idea where your windows will be and what should be seen through. Basically a reference model just with the strokes, no fill, or set the fill to a lower opacity so you can see where the back shapes need to go. Let me know if this makes any sense to you.
@@Vectortwist , I am struggling with shading in illustrator. I don't have a pen tablet and I feel that's not a major hindrance. If you could help me in getting the shading techniques right, I would be really grateful to you. I don't want character shading, but shading for general illustrations like a leaf or a building or a piece of lettering .
I never thought i would ever use the blend tool like this but here you are making windows and stuff with it. Just amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!

Really nice tutorial, Could you show us how you can make 3D windows inside of a round object?
Us 2 Travel Moments I can look into it 🙂
helpful
I am unable to offset the path by -3px. Why?
It could be that your shapes are too small and -3px is too big?
Nice
thanks
Sweet
I think i'm in love with you ❤️
:)
Need complete buiding
Brilliant ! But why you don't say all ?
greAT
you could use transform or 3d tool for this why spending too much for this simple task🤔
Because there are many ways to do things
We want full design video please
of the whole city? Or the building?
@@Vectortwist , whichever you please, I will be happy with a slower video instead of a speed build
