So I think you can do anything you want with this. Clearly, there is demand for you in this space. I think your content is really good. It's business and then its life as well. Much of the internet is scripted and cropped to be perfect but that makes it look the more contrived. You on the other hand are bringing something very real. I can't speak for the entirety of the audience but your transparency gives me much insight and reflection on my own life and studying etc, its great. I can be more specific, there is a dearth of content that is celebrating the study life, i think you are fantastic during the study process, that is my lens. I think coaching is a great niche because you do this naturally.

yeah I agree with this. Ellellevlog makes actuaries seem like real, relatable people. If it were all business, all the time, it would be entirely business, which can be really "stuffy" and over-done.

I'm from Brazil and i'm studying for become an actuary, I was looking for things about actuarial on youtube and how in Brazil we don't have a big actuarial area ( it's really very difficult) i could find you. i have been watching some of your videos and it is amazing to see an actuary talking about your profession, i can see in your eyes that you love it. Congratulation! And about you create a new channel... Well, it's your channel so you can choose it, but a tip if you want to focus in a subject you should to create a new one, it can increase your views and reach a lot of people around the world!
I was the one who commented you, Earlier I made the reasons for it and now there are some advantages for making 2 different channels which are : 1. Your explanation way is far more interesting than the MJ, so if you make another one it will be a big boom, which means fast subscribers and more views... 2. You make videos on different topics that don't existed on UA-cam or are not well enough, such as reserves, study tips and tricks, types of actuaries.,etc. So, your new channel will have great stuff which means great subscribers. 3. Different channel means more precise audience and more dedicated one which will watch your videos regularly. I think you should too. You're advice is indispensable, and it comes from a personal point of view which I think is great! Also your attitude towards your field is infectious which I personally love. One question though, why did you choose actuarial science instead of applied mathematics ?
+Byron Williams I chose to be an actuary based off of a career interest test that I took in college. The university near me offered an actuarial mathematics degree. It all worked out
That's the way it is, to respond to ur thoughts : it depends all on where u wona put ur priorities. It may could , even possible that "in the end" it supposed to be to turn out like u going to be self employed, or be an employer, & u open ur own office, or to say it literally : into a ..."new" start. And like we already discovered U could use 1 or 2 channels, or use one and have a playlist. U may even rename ur channel, & some folks have a link from their channel to their own homepage. For example : if it turns out like u going to be a professor or teacher in general for actuarial science, and u wona lay it all down for ur pupils or customers probably with a homepage u may have the most possibilities to express ur program, if u need that at all.. Publication of one channel through another may be completely natural either. Or u can keep it simple as it is, because u are what u is, and if some asks, to me u are the realization of an actuary par excellence. p.s. I found u because I was lookin' for vidz going by car from Montreal to Toronto.
Hi there! I know I'm just a random stranger on the internet, but I wanted to respond to this video as one of those random 3,000 strangers. I definitely would never have subscribed to your channel if it weren't for the actuarial videos you post. If you made another channel for your actuarial videos, I would subscribe to that. I'd definitely watch that channel more than this one, but I'd still watch this one periodically. It reminds me of another small youtuber I follow who made a channel for a specific topic. After a while, he decided to make a second channel for personal vlogs. I follow him mostly for the topical videos, but I do also appreciate seeing his random personal videos too. Getting to know the person behind the topical videos is really fun to me! So perhaps if you have an actuary-specific channel, you can direct viewers from there to this channel by promotion? At the end of the day, though, you should do what makes you happy. Maybe managing two channels will be too much work for you?
