I don't understand why they're all designed like this...to go completely inside the drain. I've had them slip from my hand and get lodged out of reach, before. Why not design them with a rim so the top can stay level with the floor and not fall all the way in??

The SureSeal is designed to fit in the drain body. It will not fall into the drain piping. We do make a 3-1/” SureSeal that is designed for use with a 3 ½” strainer.
