I remember that season fondly. The first F1 season I watched fully to the very end. It was controversial, it turned ugly, but most of all, it was exhilarating. It seems like the end of technical regulations always brings out the best races in F1.
Since Rosberg's title that had been the closest fight for the championship. And you're right, that was the year when we saw Red Bull make it to the top and they only improved from there with the rule change. I want to say that the only thing that made the whole championship controversial, and not only the final race, is the FIA not being impartial or consistent. Even if the stewards and the race director are humans, any kind of penalty should be a rulebook thing like in a videogame where there's no maybes or privileges to stars, I think both Max and Lewis could've collected a few on various races... or just go full eyes closed where anything and everything is allowed and let them settle it among themselves... I don't know what people would've preferred. As for the final race, if I'm not mistaken the tie breaker favored Max so if both retired Max would've been champion.

He did tho bro was beating max by 12 seconds till latifi crash and legally the race should’ve ended under safety car or red flagged neither happen cause masi choose his own route witch broke the rules ultimately giving max all of the advantage
He was robbed but it doesn't take away from Verstappen things happen in F1 and This season Sir Lewis Hamilton got unlucky in the last race.

Max was the way better driver throughout the season, but somehow people only seem to have enough braincapacity to remember the final race.
Imola; Lewis immensely lucky with the red flag +19 points
Silverstone; Lewis crashed into Max +32 points compared to if he hadn’t crashed into Max
Hungary: Bottas caused a crash, costing Max 16+ points
Baku: Max’s tire exploded out of nowhere costing him 26 points
Not to even mention that Max had a huge disadvantage at the later stage of the season thanks to Lewis breaking his brand new engine in Silverstone
And? They were on equal points bro doesn’t matter Lewis was annihilating max the entire race till masi cheated

It was for sure the best season since 2012 but i was underestimating it at the time

This was the best season of F1 since 2012 and it was that because of Max and Red Bull. Max is just a beast and in my opinion was the driver who drove the best in 2021.

A rainy Monaco has helped the also rans in the past. We`ve had people winning that would normally be midfield. I hate Monaco but it might be interesting this year.

Under rules the race should’ve ended behind the safety car making Lewis the winner or red flagged it 5 laps prior so both could’ve get soft tires then fight evenly but masi made his own rules which let max get all the advantage and won
Their was an investigation masi decision was found guilty of human error ( meaning he was to blame) but they didn’t want to change the result
