I love this ... seems much more simple than most. I don't need fuss. I just need something simple and straightforward for moveable washer and dryer stands.
A heavy duty dolly, to be sure. But, nailing the carpet to the dolly? The nail heads seem like a pretty sure way to scratch whatever is put on the dolly. Depending on what is being moved, that could be a real problem. Wouldn't gluing the carpet be better?

Nah, the nails are good. They won’t cause any problems
I worry about it too. how about wrap it to the sides or around, glue then nail?
