If you Loosen the center screw on the secondary mirror as little as possible the adjustment will be easier. If you loosen it too much the secondary mirror will swivel a lot and you will have more work to do. the process is the same if you over loosen the secondary mirror but if I can do it you can do it!

And make sure all non adjustment screws are tight before you start adjusting your telescope! This will help minimize vibration and hold adjustments longer.

@@kenh733 some telescopes dont come with a sticker to mark the center of the primary mirror. you can add a sticker or just eyeball it. if you add a sticker make sure you do so with as high precision as possible! if you dont see laser on the mirror period, fallow these steps until u do, by messing around with the adjustment screws, in your case start one at a time counting the turns and it should appear eventually. hope this helps!

I have a GSO made 12'' dob f/5 and I loosened the primary screws and loosened the secondary mirror cell to get the laser pointed at the hole then tightened them all up and I had this issue where then I would tighten the secondary mirror and the laser in the middle went out of place but in place in the laser red dot thingy. I was able to rectify this issue by adjusting the primary mirror and going back and forth until the laser was in the donut hole and in the dot finder.
I don't have a eyepiece to check if its perfectly centered but it took a lot of work especially tightening those primary mirror holders! Could not imagine collimating the secondary with allen keys I thought the phillips screws were tedious lol.

I feel your pain, and glad you found a way to finish the adjustment! Get a telescope they said, it'll be fun they said

@@HobbyTimeWithChris I figured out the problem! The laser did not shoot straight and the springs to hold tension with the primary mirror to tilt it suck. Found another cost cutting initiative lol. Replaced them with fair bit better springs and hit a Cheshire eyepiece. Still can not get the mirrors completely aligned but I can get not too far off. Stars look really Good But not like the PERFECT pin pricks you want in your dreams. I swear I’ve tried everything with those knobs even went back to screwing with the secondary mirror screw. I’m starting to think that my focuser is not perfectly straight, Cheshire is not perfect as it is a bit of a cheap one, or I’m still missing something. Maybe all of the above or the first two.

@@danman6431 dang I thought you figured it out. Have you collimated your Lazer?! Some Lazers or most I'm assuming don't shoot perfectly straight from the factory. If your using the same Lazer as me I can make a video on how I collimated my Lazer to get the best mirror alignment possible

@@HobbyTimeWithChris I don’t really have the tools to collimate the laser mine is from Orion when I got the GSO made 12” dobsonian. I am on vacation now and when I get back im going to have to fix my finder scope because I jammed it on a door frame while carrying it out and now it won’t align. Tried screwing in the bracket more and twisting the nuts on the inside but I can’t get it to align. Slipped on something my brother left behind I’m just glad the primary mirror is still ok.

@@danman6431 ok well I have some ideas to colomate a Lazer with house hold items now thinking about it so Ill write this down and on the next rainy day I'll bust out my telescope and get it ready for fall and make a video for ya. And finder scopes and finder scope mounts can always be added so no fear I'm sure your telescope is fine. Enjoy your vacation and if you ever need help with something shoot me a message and I'll make a video to help if possible, I can fix just about anything except hearts 🤣

Awesome! What laser collimator are you using? I see lots of different SVBONY laser collimators.
