Van Halen with Sammy was the greatest rock n roll band ever!!!!! I remember really loving the old VH stuff but when I got my first cassette of 5150 I was blown away! 5150 and For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge was on a different level. I'm not saying that OU812, Balance etc were bad but being a guitar player the aforementioned ( yes I liked The Cherone album ) were just masterpieces!!
And I Rock, And I Roll. I do it out of control, Reckless! I'm glad you were a little crazy and out of control. Your concerts I've seen over the decades were memorable!! Thank you for the great times!
You gave me a lot of hope, and at my low times your music was a driving force. So whatever you did, it kept me from the temptation of offing myself. And today I can honestly sing like the hero who set my feet on solid ground. So thank you Sammy
Dude...your past is all of you! You are an awesome person and a great musician! If you change your past, you would be a totally different person! Keep on keeping it real!
I also had an adventurous life. I broke so many hearts it keeps me up at night at times. At 63 I have much more knowledge then I had during those wild years. Shit happens and look at all the wonderful things you have done for so many. You are a wonderful and loving human being Sammy.
I really enjoy your radio show that I hear in PDX on Saturday nights. I believe even with all the technology there is still a place for great radio , that show is an example of that.
your name came up quite a bit in the LA City Council meeting the other day. Those californians don't want your name on the Walk of Fame. I'm from Ohio, I told them to FACK OFF. :)
And what would the future Sammy Hagar tell himself now: He would say read the Bible, surrender, and follow Christ..... And Jesus told them this parable..“The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” The Book of Luke chapter 12. Because you can't drive 55 where the rich man went for eternity. Watch the film Jesus Revolution with Kelsi Grammer. The true story of the Jesus hippie movement in the 70's in California.
Advice for young Sammy, never go under 55 🚫🎸🤘
It's always good to have a perspective of things you would have done differently. I think about it, but I don't dwell on it.

“That you can in fact drive 55, and anything above that limit is not worth it”

Sam - you could have toured the UK a bit more as a solo artist - and it's never too late to make amends!!!!
Thinking about eternity now. Better late than never. What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?

Advice for your younger self would be to not ruin van halen
Or not to post comments like that!
@@stevenbootes1979 no, I would tell my younger self to post this comment.
Less of ruining VH and more of neglecting a rewarding solo career.
@@jeffholt9437 nah he ruined van halen and his solo career sucks but I'm fine with him focusing on that if it meant sparing me a decade of Van Hagar.
@@person042 how about Montrose? You've got to love Montrose right?
I prefer that you tell your younger self to respect the Van Halen brothers how about that
Two sides to every story bro........
I would have done more living before my Body started wearing out. 🫡😎👍🏽
