Thank you for the review. I am not a sat nav guy. I like maps, but Google is good when I get off the bike, as I try to use my noggin when out and about. Yes, it takes longer, but I am on a bike. Your never lost on two wheels unless it becomes one.
@@UncleLongbeard to be honest, most people today that move to the area i live, do not know where everything is in the last 10 years. they need to look it up. i am just old school and know roads, i might get lost, but after 20 minutes, something looks familiar or a road that sound like something i saw on the map. but glad you are still uploading some really good videos sir.
Hi Uncle Longbeard, based on your review and one other I've watched I've taken the plunge and ordered the Iying M7 you are showing here. The one thing I 'hope' it can do is whilst using Google Maps real time (not offline) on Android Auto I can still listen to streamed radio on my helmet intercom direct from my smartphone, not via this nav unit. Did you try that? The other review said it was possible, but I've had to return a smaller 5inch from another Chinese supplier because it wouldn't do that. Any advice you can give would be appreciated. By the way I ordered the 2 cameras aswell ;-)
Yes, you can do it no problem. I think that all devices can do that but it might be a bit tricky sometimes. I remember that I changed in my 5" device somewhere (or maybe it was in the phone settings) that all the sounds are going into the phone, not the AA device. So basically all the sounds are played on your phone, including the directions from Gmaps, music or radio. In that case if you connect intercom to your phone, those will be played in your helmet.
I killed 1.5 cameras on my Pixel phone, now I'm thinking of buying something similar 😁 But damn, it seems impossible to attach it in a way to be sure it won't get stolen
Well, I bought a similar device( but 5'') from China. Honestly, I'm surprised that it works, and works very well even though it was only $45. Had a little trouble wiring it up, because some idiot put the fuse (in the red wire circuit) in a container 1.5 times larger than it needed to be 😁. The circuit was almost always interrupted because of this. But now everything is ok, the device connects quickly to both the phone and headphones. I haven't had any long outings yet, I've tested it 3-4 times and so far I'm happy as a clam! Thanks for this tip, now I don't have to worry about my phone! 🤘
That was very interesting landscape 🤣🤣. Excellent review i will be getting one of those cheers.

Sure, maps are superior as you have to learn your route, so you'll remember it better. However when in a rush in a densely populated area...

@@BlakesPipes I am the same but sometimes the speed of the navigation just makes sense
