Sir, if you explain as KVA, KW AND KVAR will be more easy to understand.
Also, explain about KVA, KW AND KVAR.
Then it will be easy to understand power factor.
Also explain that we are getting power in Kva and paying for Kw, so wherever BILLING is done as per KVA, user has to minimize REACTIVE (KVAR) consumption.

Ya..power is a scalar quantity. It's just a way to calculate apparent power. Better to call it as trigonometric operations instead of vector sum.
