I just ordered mine today it was so hard to find this exact one but someone had it one eBay! I can’t wait to dig in and experience what everyone else is experiencing with what looks to be a great Bible.😊
Sounds like a new challenger has appeared! I need to compare this to a TBS Westminster. Just ordered it. On the flipside, when that $15 bible falls apart you can just look at it and say "Hi I'm Jeremiah from Frost Leather, would you like some river grain?"
Just got this new off eBay for $11.47 shipped. It's perfect for someone like me who struggles with the KJV and with small print. I appreciate you making the vid and tipping us off to a great find. The other nice thing are the summary words on the inside part of the page headers.
Just got this same Bible after seeing video. It’s just as good as you said. Thanks! Found used one for just under $10. So great since it has nice paper, clear formatting with references, size, no words in gutter, and feels good in hands and very flexible.
I found this video after watching your 'real men read the NLT'. Are you still reading that and the KJV? I just picked this KJV bible up and am super glad it has the words in there, it's helped alot. I started my Christian journey with the NLT and it's been wonderful, but something keeps pulling me back to the TR bibles, so I'm trying to dig through the KJV. Thanks for your reply!
Yes! I have a Nelson Large Print Thin-line with center column reference, it was 30$ due to the cover being bonded leather but it’s reference suite is impressive for the investment!
Imho, the greatest KJ typesetting, also a Thomas Nelson, Paragraph Style Large Print Thinline. It's amazing in all editions but I like the hardback the best.
I've seen those around, wasn't sure if it was sewn-but now that I know it is I'm going to find one now! I have the Church Bible Publishers Turquoise clone and an Allan Longprimer, they're great but I'm scared to take them away from home since I spent so much to get them. The Nelson on the other hand would be easy to replace if lost or damaged, plus with a sewn binding it would be a good choice for a premium leather rebind.
I believe my family has every most popular versions, but my personal favourite is the translation by David h stern, from a Jewish with access to the manuscripts. Nothing better, in my opinion, than someone that reads the original language to translate it’s true meaning
Just bought this one yesterday cause of this vid! going to rebind it.
It's a solid layout. Way better than the majority of $15 KJVs. Sewn binding is a deal maker.
If you like this Bible, you would LOVE the TBS Westminster.
Update: I actually followed along with the test you did, and while the TBS has more cross references, it does not have as much translation helps. I’m thinking about switching over to this Bible just because of that.
I really love Nelson Bibles, and most of the helps in the center column are great too. Wish I could find some kind of database that list all of the Nelson Bibles every produced with ISBN numbers and features. I got a "brand new" 1972 Nelson with top grain buffalo cover and vinyl liner on eBay a year ago and it's been fantastic!
I like my Hard Cover Cambridge Wide Margin. price tag of about $40 back in 2018. It has no red letters and some room for my notes. and, I wrapped it in a brown paper bag cover and I practice my calagraphy to write Holy Bible accross the front. had to replace the cover a few times so far but I LOVE the look of it.
I bought this one and returned it because i want the version with the highlights lol. If there was a little bit more white space on the page to help break up the text from the center column i would probably be fine with the cheaper one, but without it it is a little distracting to my eyes. I think the red would help break up the visual. I second somebody's comment about the double column paragraph, it's my daily reader now.
Also, I think I saw on the Thomas Nelson website that all their Bibles are now Smyth-sewn.
Love to see the numerous translations in the reference suite. A great tool to have at a great price.
I have that one in KJV and also the nkjv from Thomas Nelson. Great review bro. 🙏🙏🥰🥰
Thank you! What did you like about the video?
@@frostLeather I liked how you showed that you don't need to have a premium bible to have a good bible. And Thomas Nelson proofs that with there bibles.
I wouldn't mind having that $15 Bible. That is a beautiful Bible.
What’s the ISBN of this one? Your amz link is showing a red letter version for both bonded leather and hardback.
I have that bible and read the bible daily. My binding has cracked and has started chipping. Believe it is 5 years old started chipping 1 1/2 years ago.
I am with you bro. I can't stand the two color design!
Word!
Thank you for your video as I was just about to start looking for a KJV Bible to replace my worn Whitaker House Sword bible and was looking for a Bible with archaic word translations in the reference that weren't at the bottom. I was looking for a sweet spot for font size with portability and will look into this. Thank you
You linked to the Large print instead of the Giant print.
I wonder how this compares to the Humble Lamb KJV and the TBS Westminster KJV Reference.
It beats out the Westminster on those selected verses.
the only translation tested by time
thats all you know.... try gosple of the holy 12 also know as the gospel of the Nazarene 1st century original...
And it’s old and outdated and meanings have changed. We don’t speak that language
In a previous video I thought you mentioned a preference for the NLT?
The KJV and the NLT are my top 2, combined you can have a rich word life.
@@frostLeather Amen to that! NASB2020 and NLT are my choices :)
NASB is great, been reading a lot on my phone, don’t have a printed version tho. I would also strongly recommend the david h stern translation
Cambridge Concord would be my ideal KJV size, but also probably short on translation notes unfortunately
The King James version is THE HOLY BIBLE for ALL English speaking people.
Few other KJVO people beat you to the punch on the comment section
Is one of the translations, not the only one. Try David h stern translation
How much did that Bible cost?
2.99 at a local goodwill
Is this the giant print from walmart. That puppy is soft
I’m not sure! My Walmart dont carry these.
Maybe people should just try reading one version from beginning to end and see that it tells a story from beginning to end like every book instead of reading a paragraph or verse and use that one verse or paragraph to make up an imaginary story trying to apply events that happened in the past to present day acting like the events of old testament is happening now
Looked for hour could not find to buy
The KJV Holy Bible, Giant Print has 53,000 Cross References!
Some of the archaic definitions are just other translations. And are not accurate. Now if you go-to words like immutable it means Unchangeable. Again watch out for leaven. You would be better using a 1828 Noah Webster dictionary. And another thing the Oxford text has strayed from the original 1611 Cambridge text.
You should try out the Message Bible! It’s more accurate than the KJV.
Try david h stern translation
@@frostLeather repent for your demonic attack agaist the King james word of God.
The link you provided is broken.
Thanks! Updated the link.
Don't forget the BLT
Best sandwich ever
Jesus loves you! He died on the cross for you. Please don’t take chances with your soul.
Romans 10:9 KJV
I know lol preach where people need Christ
@@frostLeather 😂 sorry, I put that on every vid I watch. Now I just do it self-consciously
Heck yeah what a great habit to have 💯
@@frostLeather Thanks! God bless
King James bible used subbstitutions, Substitute : To replace for another,To Alter!!!
If it can be proven the KJV version was used by the original 12 Apostles, I might use it. Who uses thees and thous in everyday life?
The thing is you can't prove it wasn't
If you sing songs like How Great Thou Art, Great is Thy Faithfulness, It is Well, Jesus Paid it All, Be Thou My Vision- among many other classic hymns you would use them regularly. Thee/Thou/Thine are meant to be Singular; whereas Ye, You, Your are plural. It is much more accurate with that in mind.
An Italian Jew transcribed the Scriptures and restored the original names and title of our creator Yahweh and saviour Yahshua and his Divine title Elohim, his name is A.B Traina, The Holy Name Bible.
original bible saays to abstain from flesh! gospel of holy 12 yeashua came to end flesh eating animal sacrafice temple was a place of sacrafice to baal
Repent. The King James is doctrinal sound the others not. Don't lead people astray. Clean out the leaven. The whole lump spoil
You repent
Don’t be like this brother. Don’t turn the translation into a religion. Jesus is the way, every translation says that
@@MatthewVideoProduction a little leaven spoils the lump. Corrupt translations read being saved going against the finished work of the Cross. of course I'm gonna speak agaist it. God says he puts his word above his name meaning its important. Don't add or subtract from the word of God. Repent because that's what your d oing
@@donaldwortham2409 Amen! God puts his own word above ALL of his own name. You are spot on with this, brother. Thanks be to God for the courage and spirit in you to contend for the faith, the TRUE faith found in the authorized Bible.
Thanks for the information but work on your lighting.
I want it dark

Hey man lol 😂
