Thank you so much for sharing this great idea, making in the hot pot is a quick and easy way, and I love the fact that you don’t need to stand over it for the duration, Merry Christmas wishes to you all ❤
Why anyone would make peanut clusters in a crockpot is beyond me. Way too time consuming and way too messy. I make mine in a saucepan on the stove. Just melt chips, add peanuts, stir well, and drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. I do not use a double boiler and it works just fine. Also, I do not flatten them. The whole process takes me about 20 minutes. And no messy crockpot to wash.
Since when is 10 minutes or less babysitting the stove? I’d rather wash a large pot and not a big, heavy crockpot. I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on the way we make them.
Using the crockpot frees up time to make something else. I also use the crockpot liners so there's no messy saucepan to deal wirh. You can do a lot in the 10 minutes you say it takes to make these on the stovetop.

@@jaynelewis19 you are welcome, Merry Christmas to you as well.
Thank you for the step by step directions. I will be trying these. I know I can use a saucepan. But, I prefer the crock pot. So, THANK YOU!
@@DiValenz145 you are welcome! I hope they turn out amazing for you.
Just had a thought - do you think it would work with Orange essence? I love the chocolate orange taste 😊
@jaynelewis19 I think so, I would add the orange after the chocolate has all melted, then just stir it in. Orange and chocolate are a great combo!

@Barb-ql2qx I thought the same thing, but it actually worked great, and it frees up the stove top to work one other treats.
I don’t agree. It only takes about 10 minutes or less to melt the chips and you don’t have a nasty crock pot to clean. Very little stovetop time.
Because you can make more. Either way you have to wash whatever you use. Not everyone has a big pot or wants to babysit the stove.
