FYI, do not put salt in when the water is cold and never put oil in the water it interferes with the sauces ability to stick to the pasta. Hope this helps

If you use heavy Whipping Cream added to your melted butter and let it come to a slow boil until it starts to thicken then you can add your spices and cheese and you do not need to use flour. Your pasta is the only starch you need in this recipe. 😋 Independence, Missouri USA 🇺🇸
That’s right flour in a pasta sauce makes it gloppy and a grainy texture for no reason. It thickens just fine, even if no cream is used, if cheese is added. If it’s too thin, add more cheese to milk and butter mixture.
And your pasta water is t boiling hard enough because the pot is too small so you can’t utensils the heat up enough because it would boil over and the pasta will stick to the bottom of the pot. Save some pasta water. Strain the pasta pot and put the pasta back in that bigger pot. Add your cheese to the BIG POT so you can mix it properly. Sorry your finished product is way too sticky and because of the flour you added and because you didn’t adjust the consistency using reserved pasta water. And honestly, you don’t know what you are doing.

Never put oil in pasta water. If you want pasta to not stick together while cooking, use a bigger pot and more water. That little pot you have is a problem and the oil you added does nothing to keep pasta from sticking together but will keep the sauce from adhering to the pasta.
@joesalemi2414...I know your reply was 2 months ago, but oil should be added at the end for flavor. If you add A LOT it may keep sauce from sticking to the pasta...but personally, I don't think so. I bet you use grated cheese in a bag..that has potato starch to keep the cheese from sticking together...so the cheese won't be creamy and stick to the whatever...no one's perfect.

Das sieht sehr lecker aus ich habe mal ei Rezept von einem guten Freund bekommen für Sahnesoße man braucht nur Sahne die muss langsam ein köcheln ich nehme immer zweieinhalb Liter wenn die ein köchelt ist nicht mehr viel davon übrig durch das ein köcheln wird die Sahnesoße dicklich und kremig durch diesen Vorgang bekommt die Soße einen richtig tollen Geschmack da brauch kein Gewürz dran man muss es aus probieren da mit sie wissen was ich meine ich mache die Soße auch viel zu Schnitzel das mögen meine Männer gerne wenn man sie nicht zu dick werden lässt nehme ich sie für Spagetti es dauert etwas länger mit dem ein köcheln aber es lohnt sich langsam ein köcheln und es klappt
