I don't know why, but it feels easy to sense if a game will be bad. I looked at this game and had a gut feeling it was going to be one of "those" games.
I'm going to be honest, my excitement for games go down real quick when i learn they run on UE5, particularly action games like an FPS. Game could look like real life but if the framerate is shit then i'm just not going to enjoy it, it's my main concern currently for Stalker 2 as well. We are also at a point (honestly it could be argued we have been for a long while) where more realistic graphics are seeing diminishing returns, sure Immortals looks good, probably better than 99% of anything else, but at the same time unless i look at the game side by side with something else and analyze the finer details i can't really tell you how it looks much better than, say, the newest COD, or Battlefield 2042, or Cyberpunk 2077, or Atomic Heart, etc. Is not a leap like we saw back in the early 2000s, and from the user side of things it really feels like games just look marginally 'better' and run infinitely worse.
No wonder the game is at such a low res on consoles. Same thing with Gotham Knights at launch, that game had a 30 fps cap and people thought the consoles weren’t powerful enough, when in reality, when the pc version was tested, the game was just an unpolished stuttery mess. What a darn shame
The sad reality of UE5 is that i believe almost all future UE5 games are going to be designed with the expectation that upscaling is turned on, mostly because they’re all targeting console first. I’ve heard some talk about this floating around, and so far it’s been true, though we’ve only had two games to go off of so far. I have to question this decision though, as it seems fairly anti-consumer to force people to use up scaling to achieve decent performance for the sake of prettier graphics.
Thats why im against people blindly praising Black Myth: Wukong graphics looking that realistic in recent trailers because that will come at a costly price. The graphics need to be scaled down a bit and scaling them down doesnt mean they will be bad, the graphics can still look great but just not that realistic we got recently from trailers. I hope the devs are smart about this.
Actually... That "windowed" setting isn't correct either. And I only realized this once I started playing on my widescreen monitor... it says "3440x1440p", but I'm getting 16:9 aspect ratio only, because I have black bars on the left and right. So despite games saying my monitor's resolution, they aren't actually rendering 3440x1440p. Can you look into this? Because true widescreen support is rarer than I thought...
Bro your on a 7900xt and can barely run the game at 90FPS average. That is madness!! What the hell is up with the games optimization? Thank you for the video now I know for a fact I wont touch this trash, I have a 3060ti and this game would likely be 30 FPS if that.

The games graphic budget gives increased scores to AMD cards. 7900 XTX has 25% more score than a 4090. If what you are saying is true even the devs don't know what is going on with their game. all those amazing UE5 showcases to end at rubbish levels of performance. the unfortunate trend of UE engines lately. it's like the showcases are faked.
It's almost like the more the game has to compute, the heavier the gpu hardware is gonna be...which is something not everyone on pc is gonna be objective about.
i have a pc like alex and can confirm manny games today ARE TOTAL SHIT!!!!!!
I know 2 things stay away from this port if have a gtx 1050 4gb couse you wil have 0 fps and even an rtx 2060 6gb strugles to keep 50 fps with dlss on performance. Another abomination of a port.
oh i knew it was gonna be a disaster
Just another game showing how overpriced pc gaming is again.
When devs can actually optimise multi core cpus and use all the cores effectively would be a nice moment in pc gaming but for some reason most devs just want you to have a 4 core cpu at 2 million ghz and a 4090 with dlss 3.0.
Its stupid how expensive pc gaming is now just for you to have a 90% chance that the game will be unoptimised anyway because devs are using dlss 3.0 fake frame generation and fsr etc as a crutch too brute force frames
😬
Good thing I’m not getting this garbage.
ohh men is that a shitty game. What were the devs smoking with this one? Its only a seizure simmulator
Refunded F this game
Bad game
can't wait for the Phantom Liberty review...
You read the steam reviews the game look is good but the performance sucks
