lol evert tranmsporter has this issue they just love rust , like love it , ours was the same , but then we sprayed ours in raptor paint , like the whole thing and boom buy buy rust .

My son bought a trans connect without looking underneath, it looked like it had been used as a submarine the amount of rust under there! Top side looked good , so beware.
As Much as Its An Easy Fix I Hate To See Rust Covered With Fibreglass And Filler. In A Few Months Your Arches Will Be Cardboard, A Waste Of Time And Effort. Buy Yourself A Cheap Welder And A Piece Of Metal Arch! Permanent Job Done With Nothing To Worry About 👍🏼👌🏼

From the experience, if you not gonna keep it 4 entire life this is the right way to do it - cheap and dirty.
