Hi Lexi, boy you really received the Gucci eye and face quads quickly! Love the vintage casing and how compact they are as well as multifunctional. As you said, great for travel in terms of space saving and being able to put together a look quickly. Thank you so much for your review and thoughts!
Truly impressive thing about the concealer is the performance of the Sonia G. brush. I don’t have that exact brush, but I have other Sonia G. eye brushes in the same hairs, and I started eyeing my brushes to see which one I might spare for concealer. I have that same bit of thin, crepey skin just above my cheekbone that skip/creases when applying concealer there with a finger. Lately I’ve been patting on Sublimage Le Baumé on that patch of skin and it works a treat, plumps it and it looks more blurred. The Chanel site has the Baumé as a free mini with purchase, I picked up a couple with stuff I planned to buy anyway.
Had to watch this video after you mentioned the Valentino concealer in your Sephora video. I'm quite intrigued, it looks beautiful, I'm always on the hunt for a new concealer to hide these dark puppies under the eyes, lol. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Lexi! ❤️
You look beautiful Lexi!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and details on the Gucci face quads and the Valentino concealer. Everything looks lovely on you and I love hearing your thoughts. Thank you so much!! ❤
I usually take a small flat brush to use concealer. Thankfully I don’t have a lot of dark circles. Only Inner corner I hear The Tf is creamy for mature eyes. In 62. I do love the look of the one
Hi Lexi! I'm very excited to watch this review, as usual, the Gucci packaging looks so beautiful, but I can't wait to see what you think of the actual product. I haven't tried anything from Valentino so I'm also excited to hear your thoughts. Hope you're well, thank you for sharing!
I’ve been waiting for your review on these Gucci palettes (and now their sold out 😆). I really like the brown one so hopefully it will come back in stock soon. Surprised how in the other palette the red comes out to be more orange would have never guessed that. Great swatches comparing to the Gucci & Viseart palettes. And the Givenchy concealer ranking up there with Chanel Sublimage will have to check that out. 😊🌺
Love your presentation of products! Classy and proper which I really appreciate! Thank you for your review on this signature brands as it’s Gucci and Valentino! I love their products for its quality, formulation and performance, amazing
Thank you so much Jeannette! I feel like these two brands really try to think through their products thoroughly before releasing them so they have a very nice range in general.
The Tom Ford shade looks really nice! I'm a neutral and this one could be a perfect shade. Would be interested to hear how you like it. Especially which ones are best for under eye vs general concealing on the face
I love the TF concealer. It's one of my favorites but the bottle gets messy very easily which is a pain. I will definitely have it in the concealer show down video!
Wow! I was not even interested in this until watching your and Rebecca from Not fit for print beauty reviews. Now I think they would be fantastic for travel. Thanks for reviewing these. It’s a strong maybe for me on the neutral one.
Hi Lexi ! Thank you so much for featuring the new Valentino concealer - and confirming my prediction that it is really good. I have loved every Valentino makeup product I have tried so far. I am crossing my fingers that the concealer will eventually appear on the Sephora Canada site (none of the Valentino items have been replenished since the holidays on the Sephora Canada site, so I may have to go a different route). Thank you very much for investing in two of the new Gucci multi-use palettes. I am surprised by the long wear-time, because I have older Gucci eyeshadow palettes and those shadows did not wear long. I agree that the compact is practical for travelling, and the “brown summerina” (sp?) palette is most neutral. If I were planning a trip, I would get that one because it can go from day to evening. As I wait for all these products to make it to Canada, I look forward to your month-end evaluation, just in time for the Sephora spring sale. Thanks again for another great video!
Thank you Jocelyne! I feel like there have been so many great things this month. The end of the month review will be tough but I can guarantee this concealer is making it in there.
I'm over palettes with both creams and powders. The products always age differently. The creams dry out, even though the powders still work. I end up throwing them away. And none of these color combinations speak to me. Thanks for the video!💚
I like the look of the Gucci. I like face palettes and I love small compact products. Love that the teal palette has a warm orange red 😀 much better to me than a cool red. I have grey green eyes and I think the colours are perfect if you have green or grey eyes I'm interested in the 3rd one as well with the purples.
So pleased you reviewed these. I like the idea of a travel-friendly face palettes with such a small surface area, thank you for the excellent swatches. Wild Bouquet looks very retro. I've not liked Valentino packaging at all - but for a concealer it doesn't matter so much. I appreciate the testing, I was impressed - although I think it's expensive for what one gets. Why is it I begrudge spending on concealer and mascaras, things I use every day, yet will pay anything for a pretty palette? Once my overly expensive Estée Lauder is used up (not great but good colour on me) I'm going to try the Nars Soft Matte (because I prefer a little jar/tub) as I only need under-the-eye and it has good reviews. If that doesn't work, Valentino will be next on the list. Thanks so much as always!
I don't like valentino packaging either but the products i have tried are so nice that i'm starting not to care anymore. I feel the same way about spending on everyday stuff - it just isn't as exciting. Thanks for sharing!
Great review 👏 Lexi now I feel I'll hv to buy this concealer! I already know the Valentino foundation is great, so it would be an excellent companion.🙂
Hi Lexi! Surprising interesting those Gucci Face Palettes 🤗 but based on your review and close ups I ordered the Valentino concealer. As you mentioned, I prefer a smaller container as well and don't need to get 12 ml. Thanks for the review, much appreciated 💝
@@LexiJong Reporting back that I really like the texture and color of the Valentino Concrealer. It truly is light weight and the undertone of LA2 is amazing with a hint of vanilla yellow which cancels my dark circles. It is not full coverage but I like it very much. For everyone sensitive: it is quite scented for a concealer but it dissipates and I prefer the perfume of this one over the heavy Foundation scenting one from Huda Beauty 😍
🌸Thank you for the video!🌸Is the cream lip and cheek their matte lip formula?🌸 I read somewhere they were the colors already existing in the lip stick shades💚🌸
I don't have many Gucci lip products so I can't say for sure but they are a soft matte finish yet they aren't as fragranced as the gucci lip products I have tried. I feel like they are not quite as creamy as those I have used in the past but that is a good thing in this palette imo. I wouldn't be surprised if the colors are the same as some of their permanent shades.
Hi Lexi, I think I might be picking up the valentino concealer in the near future ! I am still on the hunt for the perfect concealer as well as the perfect eye cream/ gel. I have under eye bags and drooping lids which I an trying to help with products/ home tools only. I have just started the egf eye cream which have only used for a few days and have not seen any results yet, I'm also searching for a night eye cream and upper lid eye cream, as my eyes I feel are ageing my face and would be grateful if you have any suggestions ? I have heard from Wayne Goss that the dr Sam Buntley brightly night cream is great for the eyes and am wondering if you had any thoughts on that eye cream or any other miracle creams and concealers ? Also have started using the dr dennis gross led eye mask and the current body face mask & also just started the sensica facial RF tool in Hope's that I can reach some sort of goal with these tools. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Lexi. Just wanted to let you know that I love your videos and the thoroughness in them also Thankyou Amanda ❤ UK xx
Thank you Amanda! I think you will like the LED eye mask. I have the currentbody one and I feel like I see some results from it. I haven't found the perfect eye cream but I really like the Auteur eye cream for day and night but at night I like to top it with the Retrouve eye cream which is more of an ointment consistency. I haven't tried any Dr. Sam Buntley products but I've heard positive things about them and Ranavat. I also really like the Sisley eye mask and I try to remember to put it on when I first wake up in the morning for some de-puffing or use it as an overnight eye cream. I hope this helps!
@@LexiJong Hi Lexi Thankyou for responding, I will certainly research these products and hopefully buy one or two in the near future. Since leaving my comment to yourself I have seen advertised a dr dennis gross led eye mask and with only purchasing the dr dennis gross eye mask in January they have come out with a much better one now covering more of the eye area and looking more substantial than the one which I own. I think when repurchasing another eyemask, I will be purchasing the currentbody one, as I am seeing smoothing of parts of my cheeks from the face mask, although on the downside the strap, I feel there should be 2 around the head, for securely holding the led lights closer to the skin whereas there is only one strap and If i am sat upright, the led face mask feels like its pulling on my skin, unless I hold the weight of it up at the bottom. Thanks again xx
Hi Lexi all look beautiful on you, but i definitely pass. I have my dream concealer- Chanel sublimage so no need for others anymore. And the palettes are ok. But noting unique and powdery nope 🤪 I am waiting on Chanel Le blanc any new updates on the release date ? Have a blessed day🙏🧡
So I am a bit frustrated with Chanel because they were moving the date up to this week but now I just heard they are moving it back to April 1. I hope they start being more consistent.
No that is average. There are a few that might say a year but in general anything liquid around the eyes has a 6 month shelf life. Some of the more putty-like stick concealers may have a longer shelf life.
Yes I have been using up the previous formulas of All Day All Year and the Ecological Compound. I also use the hydra global serum regularly and it is a staple.
I would really like to pick one up but Gotta say the palettes look cheap on the inside, May be not in person but in pics and videos. And I don’t even understand the color stories.
I love mini face palettes, but the color stories of the Gucci ones are not cutting it for me. If they release better color stories, I’d definitely be interested
Can't wait for your concealer run-down - in the market for a new one. Thanks for yet another great video 🙂
Thank you!
