This is working on your system, but it won't work on all of them. The built in utiluty that you accessed is a part of modern BIOS, but not in old bios.

i get invalid product id when using the hp cloud recovery tool. Im trying to create a usb recovery for my hp elite x2 1012 G2. i went into the bios and tried the Ctrl + A but i don't find System ID in the Bios menu. Any recommendations where i could find that? Thank you in advance.

@@npd59 Update i figured it out. I had to download another HP Cloud Recovery. It worked perfectly.
Solution is to just trash the POS...HP's are junk!
Where are you ocated?
In system IDs it's only showing:
Asset Tracking Number
Ownership Tag
Ownership Tag2
Yh why
This doesn't work for me. My model HP Elitebook 8440p has a System IDs, but it's just owner asset tag and three other tags.
