I definitely agree that an internship is VERY important for this role. Finding a preceptor that meets all the requirements is very difficult! And usually the internship is unpaid and last at least 6 months.
Absolutely… The internship is essential for this role!
Most AIT positions are 5 12's hourly thatbcome out to 60k. What do you mean? Yeah you'll probably have to move, so be it. That's my plan.
@@bryansmith7238 it’s great that you found a paying AIT position with an eligible preceptor. Never heard of a position only requiring five 12 hour shifts though. Good luck!

Hi JG I recommend you start preparing for the license exam early. Also, depending on your financial situation I recommend you take the National NH Licensing exam versus the state as the national exam gives you the versatility to work across multiple states. All the best!

Hi I have never taken the exam. However, I recommend you contact the board in your state to learn how to acquire the study material. All the best!

Can I work as a Nursing Home Administrator with a Master's degree in Public Administration??
It depends on the state some states don’t care about the degree as long as you meet the requirements to take the licensing exam and acquire the license

Many thanks for the insights and helpful info. I have a BBA in health service management but have management and other experience in NGO field. I’m wondering if I sit for healthcare administrator license without AIP?
@sandilwin9293 thanks for watching! I recommend you visit the healthcare administrator exam website and see the qualifications for the state and National exams. Often times, they do want you to have a certain amount of qualifying clinic hours.
