Genuinely feel Tranmere vibes (1994) for Thursday night….. UTV 💪💪
To be honest, if Martinez is even 80% he needs to play. This is the most winnable game we have left and the game where we can secure 4th. The drop off to Olsen is staggering and it just hasn't got any better in over 18 months. I also think if Spurs are going to win one of these games, Liverpool is the one.
Well if they only win that we will be qualified haha
Totally Agree, with Martinez in goal we win, whether that will b enough I don’t know but if Olsen plays we don’t… as simple as that!
Whatever happens----happens! We can do nothing but hope for the best! UTV
Tranmere Rovers vibes. I'm still confident we can get the job done. Do you want to bet against us? UTV
Never see olsen or lenglet in a villa again. shirt. Utv.
Just to say we lose 7.2 if Gucci was in goal yes Olsen don't come close to so I but you can't name 3 be after backup keepers in the item that are beefed then him
Villa looked tired. Unlucky on the night, but 90 more minutes to go and rescue the win. Still an amazing season come what may! UTV!
Yes Dan agree on the CPR. The first aider was defo my vote for POTM.
John Townley fan club president here. When Ash stepped aside a big pair of shoes were left to be filled. You slotted right in and so big up and keep enjoying this season and the next!
Not being funny but I didn’t think the Ambulance people there filled me with any sort of confidence. Luckily that girl was there to save the lads life. But bigger picture she was a trainee. In a stadium that surely must have had fully qualified medically trained professionals who seemingly just stood by and watched her carry on. Also I noticed the medics walking all the way round the pitch to get a stretcher then walk all the way back round again when if that was my son fighting for his life I’d have no bloody regard for the whole keep off the grass. I also remember thinking it can’t be too bad as the dude pulling the stretcher is smiling and joking with the blonde girl who was with him. I was in the upper holte so couldn’t see anything in L2 and had no idea what happened till i watched your podcast after the game. I do think the club should have a long look at themselves and to how this was handled and dealt with. I really felt it was poor. As other ppl near me were saying can’t someone radio to say bring a stretcher instead of sending too people the long way round the pitch and back with one. Anyways glad the lad’s alright and the girl is a hero.❤
If John is going to wear a bear suit, he should also don the head, and go full-bear.
The most frustrating thing is, we put a great performance in at Arsenal, then when at home it's like they've never played together, the change in the performance before Xmas and now is so disappointing..
It's the villa way been like it since 2017
having a cardiac arrest at 24. fucking hell thats mental! hope the lad is well.
You can have a heart attack at any age! Even babies can be susceptible to it as well too! It's not just later in life when that could happen!
Hopefully, we can pick up a win on Sunday, and Spurs will lose to Liverpool. Should that happen, we can go into Thursday with an all or nothing mentality and hopefully blow Olympiakos away. As for next season, we could do with another ball playing centreback with Yoro, Balde, and Todibo looking like good options. I'd love us to bring in Mikel Merino, but his price point would blow our budget so as a cheaper option, I think we should be looking at Pepelu of Valencia. He would add height and steel to our midfield, but also excellent passing range and superior ability to switch play. He can anchor or play box to box role so would bolster and improve midfield, providing competition to Kamara and Dougie.
Just grind out any kind of result and I'll be happy. This side really needs to learn how to grab scrappy 0-1 results when they're playing badly. Torres back in the defence and pray Martinez is available.
Hi guys! Good Pod. Muy prediction is the same as yours Dan, Spurs will get 6 points; but to be sure a win on Sunday would be great and also would boost the mood of the team. Emi is not just "the keper", he's a leader and the defense coach. UTV!
❤
You say will one win. Genuinely think it’s more likely that we get 0/9 points and we still qualify than we win 1 and get to 70 and Spurs still qualify
I’d be shocked if we got zero points
Said it b4, this tie isn't over.....Olympiakos think they are through, it'll b their downfall....
I’m on 25 points, you’re on 26 “nice” 🤣🤣
Its time to forget the cup its brighton next win this one and 4 th place is our jack pot won the money pot no slip ups any thing rlse is a bonus one last big effort and 4th is ours utv
Its not that olsen isnt as good as Martinez, hes not good enough, full stop. Lacks confidence, gauci is a much better goalie, rookie an all, .....remember spinks?
The squad is completely stretched, why not play Carlos & Torres, it doesn’t make any sense
Not sure where John gets, we're so much better than Olympiacos and we'll win out there. Ridiculous.
Thinking trophies will just come is just silly when you haven't won anything for 28 years. Dreadful thought process
I don’t understand all the fuss with wanting to make Europes top competition..we have been outclassed in the last 2 games of a Mickey Mouse European cup so what chance have we got against europes elite .. fuck all
It’s about the money and exposure, advertising etc. players want to play in it
@@elliottstevens3730 really ?? Bullshit I thought football was a competition and players and fans want to win.. if Villa did a poll on our supporters asking whether they would prefer to win a European trophy ( albeit a third tier one ) or go into a competition whereby our players can be in a competition to gain more exposure yet not have a chance of winning I know which one they would prefer
@@jackg5966 agree, but it’s still a business, like it or not
Emery took Villareal to the CL semi final. With another pre-season, players back from injury and a top quality signing or two, then who knows? We’ve played badly in a few third-tier European cup games, but with a depleted squad and some players (Watkins, McGinn, Konsa, etc) playing in Europe for the first time. I’d love to watch us against the best teams in Europe next season.
Lille, the best team by a country mile in this Competition and we somehow put them away...and we then put this performance in, in a semi final for 40 years, pathetic...this is on Emery
