We were comprehensively outplayed by Lille and Olympiacos but I had barely heard of their players. There must be hundreds of fantastic players like that who could improve our squad, would love to play for Emery at Villa and not too expensive?

i am pretty sure psr doesn't mean you have to sell home grown players, a balance sheet going from 0 to +40 mil on a home grown player sold for 40 mill is the same as a balance sheet going from -20 to plus 20 on a player sold for 40 mil , i think this is what happens amortisation in the books the difference may be teh financial year each part is counted in

Really don’t want to sound like a dick but this really showed a lack of football knowledge. A few of the players are out of contract like Ben Johnson so saying they’ll only cost a few million isn’t great.
Plus this is basically just picking every teams worst player so doesn’t really make a good list.
I know it’s a hypothetical list but we could sign another teams player (Olise at CP who has a release clause) so just saying no one’s realistic isn’t a great listen.
Fair enough if that’s your opinion. Not every pod we do will work, we’re going to be doing a lot of experimenting in the next 6 weeks
@@ClaretBluePod I think it’s a great idea and love these kind of pods but just think John was being too pragmatic and ended up saying players we’d never want to sign.
Plus people like Olise aren’t out the realms of possibility considering his release clause
