Also just as a heads up in case you didn’t know, Etrata becomes much easier to build around and play if you use her with a bunch of flicker effects also. You can actually flicker Etrata so that when her triggered ability goes off you don’t actually end up having to shuffle her. You can also do things like Spark Double on Etrata just to get the hits in even more. The main thing is having some sort of removal package along with ravenloft and Mari to just be able to swing a bunch of counters really quickly and win the game
You can ninjutsu her to your hand before she shuffles.
Every time I think about building a deck from a new potential commander you put out a deck list for it. I think at this point half my decks are ones you've made. Thanks again for a fun deck!

I built Etrata clones and ninjitsu within days of her being spoiled, and was so excited to pick up Mari and Ravenloft Adventurer to make her so much more viable. This one is such a game changer that I might need to heavily revamp this deck now....

Ok, so I have a Yuriko sliver deck. I put Ramses in it. I use alot of cards that change the creature types and spell texts. I haven't tested him but I got a feeling it's gonna be great. I may even swap Yuriko for Ramses.

yea he's been on my mind for my etrata deck. my only hesitancy is that she's my low power deck. she's only precon level because of how poorly she scales with multiple opponents. he is tempting, but then i wouldnt have a deck to use against newbies.
A card suggestion would be
“Teferi’s Veil” creatures phase out after combat. This will protect your win
I've been considering putting this guy into a kenrith deck with assassin tribal; using goad and politics to give assassins to opponents perhaps?

@@CommanderMechanic I think his idea is to run solely lands and counters apart of ramses. So that might work out.

Damn... I wish ramses said that if you attacked a player with an assassin, you win the game. Would be busted in modern. Im tryna win with etrada in modern not commander.

Yeah Ramses needs to be banned as just like Lutri it just violates the format entirely and any multiplayer game and goes against it. And even if it is not then everyone is just going to focus and hard target the Ramses player as pretty much just like Golos it is just a competitive card from its birth
Ramses isn’t competitive and it doesn’t break the format at all. Assassin tribal needs a powerful ability to make up for being mediocre just like scarecrows. The only major problem is the different interactions with forfeiting the game but tbh scoopers suck.
@@regaleagle6533 it breaks the format because it incentivizes on actually beating down on 1 person preferably the weakest person or one with the lowest life total. Also how would you know it isn't competitive? there are competitive combat based decks such as Najeela which is a prominent example. Like you literally can make just about anything competitive hell Blue and Black has the best counters, draws, and tutors in the game hell you could even run a thoracle line in it with tainted pact and or consultation just for it being Dimir so if Ramses main win con fails there is always a backup especially if the main win is Phyrisis to give him infect, So how is he not competitive?
Again Dimir has the best draw and search in the game with the ability to defend your creature and or combo while also being able to shutdown your opponents from winning, in competitive Ramses is not going to be a problem in fact he would be a alternative combat deck to Najeela which is rare to see in cEDH. But the problem lies in casual play not competitive he is going to be seen as a unfun commander or a high power commander only and still generate a lot of heat just like Krenko. Hell a Infect deck is only good at killing 1 person then it loses to the rest of the table imagine if it had a Ramses it would be hated even more by the community as it is meant to go 1v1's and that is just what Ramses wants to do.
Before you ask or say it yes i actually have seen a competitive infect deck before and no it was not helmed by Atraxa it was that black infect dragon whose name i can't recall right now, Mono Black decks are usually storm decks example being K'rrik and Yawgmoth with storm like effects of playing cards cheaper or faster in abundance and since most cards in cEDH are cheap anyways with K'rrik you can see how it is a storm deck as you can just pay 2 life per black mana pip making it really fast in order to make up for the lack of mono black fast mana in the game.
Hell there is even a competitive Phage the Untouchable deck and the moment she resolves she wins as Witchbane Orb, Pithing needle, Lethal Vapors Endless Whispers someway to get her into your hand or have a you can't lose the game effect then the last piece play Phage she dies to Lethal Vapors go to end phase everyone else dies to the ETB trigger and if you play a creature such as platinum angel play it before Lethal Vapors as any creature that comes in after that card instantly dies. The moment K'rrik Platinum Angel and Greed are all out you just draw your entire deck, and yes more black decks needs to utilize K'rrik more often as he is just too good to pass up because Phyrexian mana is broken especially on a card that turns everything into Phyrexian Mana pretty much giving you free spells.
Point is just because you don't see it does not mean it is not competitive especially since you are not looking at it with a competitive mindset. Hell i guarantee that everyone will see it like they see Slivers target you right off the bat if Ramses is your commander because he is just too powerful and scary for casuals plus they would see him as a unfair win condition as take out 1 person and the other two just lose invalidating the entire point of a 4 player game with it just being a 1 card win con especially if the whole deck is Assassin tribal
@@JohnnyYeTaecanUktena the most competitive stuff just combos and says I win doesn’t matter the player count. This doesn’t help that at all. Aggro was already a playstyle which goes after one player especially one weak on life but this does not hold up to say Edgar markov at all. Assassin tribal is not competitive because it’s a poorly supported tribe. It’s a commander which doesn’t ramp or draw or combo. It’s in colors which have infinite combos but it doesn’t help get them and you don’t need his ability when you go infinite you already won. I don’t see it because your take seems bad. The cedh community looked at this card and let out a collective meh.
@@regaleagle6533 Dude they meh anything that is not ramp, draw, or combo in the command zone they also say that just because they say something is meh does not mean it is not competitive it means they are just not interested.
Let's not forget that there were some creatures that people thought were not competitively viable till it was proven such as Codie, Vociferous Codex as even the DDB thought that was a troll submission. And no aggro is fucking different that what you are thinking in competitive commander as you are thinking of regular 1v1.
There is also a lot of competitive decks that do not just combo off and say i win as there are a lot of synergistic decks that are not infinite combos. Your claims tells me that you don't actually know what competitive is and are just downplaying it to just argue
@@JohnnyYeTaecanUktena Codie was immediately when spoiled identified as a CEDH commander. You are just listing more cards YOU personally got wrong. Codie directly plays into the know powerful types of decks viable in competitive play. This card does not.
