Sir how did you update or activate your mi band 2? I only got the stock version, there are no names or numbers popping out when some one is calling
Villajin Villalobos hey! first ofall you need to connect your band with your mobile via Bluetooth. Then open the mi fit application and sign in. After signing, the contacts will get synchronised to the band. and you are done. :)
is there an anti lost function in the updated app? an alert when the phone is out of range?
actually in the notification tab on your phone you get to see that your band is connected but as soon as you go out of range, in the notifications it will be written that band isn't connected. Then as soon as you go back into the range it automatically reconnects itself with your device :)
Do I need to take mobile with me to track my running and its location? or Does it have its own GPS?
Dazzer Prajwol yes you have to take your mobile. The location will be tracked via your mobile but the data will be tracked from your tracker. It does not have its own gps :)
Bro will I be having any firmware issue if I buy chinese version from gearbest ??will I get call,msg notifications?

Bhavnesh Hadiyel if you want your steps and distance to be calculated then no need or else if you want to trace your running track then you will have to.
does the GPS require constant Internet connection?
for accurate measurement you need constant connection :)
does it show notification for individual app like WhatsApp, messenger, sms , mail etc ? ar just show the "app" icon.?
No, it just shows the app icon :)
Can you explane why when someone was calling to me i can see description when someone is calling is turned ON in China and US version.(UK too) Rest of UE has got only call/text alarm,but we cannot see who is calling etc. In YT it is a some a solution ( change language in you smartphone to US/ UK/ Chinese) It is works ,but when i go back to my Family language and this options I cannot fing it again and my 'MI' dont work correctly again :/ HAve you got a tips/ solution? I will be glad if you assist me.
TNTomek1987 I dont know whether that feature is available at your location, since the features are not available everywhere. What you can do is, go to xda developers. There you may find a firmware of mi band 2 with your native language support. try installing it, I guess it should work. :)

Btw you cannot view the content but can choose any 5 apps whose notifications you want to see from the mi fit application. There you will get to see the app's icon but not the content. :)

how to track ur phone when its cutting the range and how to locate the band??and reverse track ,and how to connect it via bluetooth and whats the maximum range???i mneant how to connect it via normal blutooth not ny opening the app fisrt and thebluetooth is not visible properly on the phone and not stted conncted wheas its conncted through app is that a con??

see bro when u connect any bluetooth device with ur phone the bluetooth sign is fully viisble in dark white ryt in ur device but when the mi band gets conncted with 3rd party apk the bluetooth is showing connected but there is a question mark in my device beside the pair option is that acon??
sid blaine actually i haven't tried with any third party application. i just use the tracker with the official mi fit application where i don't face any problem. so it would also be better for you to use official app for safety and security too. :)

My mi band 2 doesn't show the date (day-month-year) it shows jut time!!!

Bhanu krishna please buy only from mi shopping app..in some shopping website price is fluctuating from 1999-2500..but on mi shopping app price is 1999+ free delivery.and that is the genuine one..no fake or duplicate mi band 2..

The things which you know are only the updates.
I made this video keeping in mind the updates which mi has introduced in the past 3-4 months. (Which i also told in the video). This video is for them who have'nt bought the mi band 2 and don't know about the newly updated firmware because the previous firmware had lot of bugs and missing features which the users wanted and due to the lack of the current features they did'nt buy it. So it will help them know about the new updates and buy this product. :)
