That last pitch by Yates was filthy!!!
That pitch by Yates was a thing of beauty and Riley is on a tear right now. If all the bats can get going then there’s no stopping them
Agreed! It not only froze the batter, but the entire stadium. Yates sneaking in the back door like a thief in the night. Love it!
As a side note, I feel like most things are clicking on all cylinders, except Eddie's bat. He just seems lost hitting after his injury, kind of like Mike did earlier in the season. I kind of feel like maybe they should like Pillar start for a few games, but I don't want to stop any progress for Eddie, so it feels like that might be worse in the long run. Hopefully, he locks in his hitting and the train continues to roll. Choo choo!!!
That final pitch was absolutely perfect. Riley's red hot streak continues and Arcia finding a power stroke out of nowhere. Let's keep it up Bravos.
A masterpiece
That was a tough at bat and kudos to the batter for hanging in there, and the Braves unfortunately in the 9th have made things quite too interesting sometimes. But, that was a pretty awesome pitch. I agree.
That final pitch was complete LUCK. Yates has been absolutely HORRIBLE over so many games, the fact he lasted that long is a miracle, period. Look at his record over the past handful of starts, he ALWAYS gives up atleast a run, he's just bad. Every dog has his day, and this really was his to get a win for the team, but no i don't like him at all. He's about as useful as Bryce Elder, who should not be a All Star at all, sorry folks but it's the truth. Look at his past two starts, 7 earned runs BOTH starts, the fact prior to these starts he got away with pitches amazes me. Velo is not that important if you can locate your spots, but the guy has a max velo of about 90 which is terrible, and his spots are 50/50, you cannot rely on someone like that and put them in a starters role. AA needs to consider trading some of these arms, some huge package deal, grab a solid starter and one or two that can bolster the bullpen, that's just the way it is right now. Kyle Wright is not going to be available for atleast two months, and Max, well, he's so injury prone you can't fully rely on him.
@@Ccortanaa Damn son you wrote all that in response to me liking a single pitch lmao calm down my guy
@@Scootapuff88 Oh im calm, i was just being realistic, sorry if you felt like i targeted you. I was stating the facts, you just happen to be the person i replied to.
Good win on the road against a Brewers squad who has been playing fantastic of late. Hope the Braves can get the ball rolling again.
I hated losing Freddie, bit Matt Olsen is on fire.
that was a killer curveball!!!!
Looked like a backdoor slider.
@@ww8407yes it was a slider..
@@ww8407 whatever it was, that thing was nasty!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@KingJoeENT He's only thrown that pitch like 5 times this year lol. It was a disgusting time to pull it out
@@dylanvauiso6910 I'm glad he had it in the chamber LOL
Notes From the Game:
+ Soroka still has work to do, but overall, I'd say it was a Good Performance Tonight. 6 Innings of 4-Run, 6-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 4 en route to a Win. He improves to 2-1 with an ERA of 5.52. It seems that opposing teams are trying to Attack Soroka Early in the Count, and to not let him get to 2 Strikes... Something I know Soroka can adapt to.
+ The Bullpen did a Pretty Good Job, all things considered. Heller, Jimenez, and Yates combined to finish the Final 3 Innings, Allowing 3 Walks, But Striking 6 along the way. Kirby Yates gets his 2nd Save of the Season, Allowing 2 Runners on via Walks, but Striking Out the Side.
ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 4 Runs, 6 Hits, 5 Walks, 10 Strike Outs, 1 Home Run Allowed.
The Braves' Offense was Sufficient Tonight, and that's all you can ask for.
+ I know Marcell Ozuna isn't hitting lately, but he did do some EXCELLENT A-B-C Baseball tonight. 0-3, sure, but he earned Two RBIs; One via Sacrifice Fly in the 2nd, and One via Fielders Choice in the 5th. Ozuna Holds onto a .234 (-.003)/.309 (-.004)/.760 (-.009) Line through 80 Games!
+ Arcia does it to his Former Team! 1-3 with a Walk and a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE IN THE 2ND! Arcia Steps Up to a .291/.345/.793 Line with 10 Home Runs and 34 RBIs in 75 Games!
+ Austin 3:16 Keeps Pounding the Baseball! 2-4 with a Single and a TWO-RUN SUPER MISSILE OF HIS OWN IN THE 3RD! Riley Stands Firm with a .270/.332/.818 Line with 21 Home Runs and 58 RBIs through 96 Games!
+ OTHER NOTABLES: Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, and Michael Harris II Each had 1 Hit on the Night; Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, and Orlando Arcia also had 1 Walk Each; That means the only Braves to not get on base were... Ronald Acuna Jr. and Eddie Rosario? Huh...
+ Not a Pretty Win, but these are the Wins YOU HAVE TO EARN. Soroka Pitched Efficiently, The Bullpen Held the Line, the Defense didn't make any mistakes, and the Offense was Sufficient Tonight. Two Solid Wins from the Braves... Can they keep it going?
+ Miami and Philly BOTH Lost Tonight, The Mets Game in Boston got SUSPENDED due to Weather in the 4th, and the Nationals... Grinded Out a Win against San Fran... Nice! This Boosts the Atlanta Braves to 11 1/2 Ahead of Philly AND Miami, 18 Ahead of York, and 24 1/2 Ahead of Washington!
TOMORROW:
ROUND 2 OF 3 Between the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers will take place under the Evening Skies of American Family Field.
Arian Houser will answer the Call for the Brew Crew, Who's had Two No-Decisions in July, but has been pitching well, allowing just 4 Runs on 12 Hits over 10 2/3 Innings.
Meanwhile...
\\\\\ DEBUT ALERT \\\\\
This... Is Unexpected, but I am getting reports that the Atlanta Braves will CALL UP Allan Winans, A 17th Round Pitching Prospect from Bakersfield, CA and Drafted by... The Mets? With Pick Number 500?! And Out of Campbell University in North Carolina... I can't seem to find much on this guy's stuff, But he's having a Good 2023 with AAA-Gwinnett, Going 7-3 with an ERA of 2.81. This Move definitely smells like overcompensating for Lack of Pitching Depth, but it is an intriguing option.
Can Allan Williams and the Braves' Continue a MUCH-NEEDED Win Streak Up to 3?
Or Will Houser and the Brew Crew Bring the Tomahawk Chop down to Earth?
We Will find out at 7:15 P.M. EDT / 6:15 P.M. CDT EXCLUSIVELY ON FOX (NATIONAL)!
SoundFX09, Signing Out!
Do your fingers hurt? 😂
this guy rules
@@hofacuna Lmao!
dude it seems like there are always tons of braves fans at every stadium crowd was so loud on the final pitch
BATNY = Braves Are The New Yankees
TBS legacy lives on
@@lavs8696 Yes Sir!
That’s what the Dodgers fans say to .
All Star Arcia is back And Austin is swinging a axe go Braves 🪓🪓🪓
I think soroka will continue to improve with more starts and Riley is mashing at this point
I think Soroka will be fine once he gets out of his head. I think he really loves this team and fans and wants to earn that top spot back. Looks like he's putting a lot of pressure on himself to be Soroka of old.
@@JayAyers Soroka will be alright. He needs the Major League reps. Even MJ wasn’t the same when he came back the first time. For this season, he just needs to know that he can still pitch on this level, next year, he should move up a level because he still has the pitching repertoire.
@@JayAyers that’s a good point. He’s got the entire fan base wanting him to succeed. Dude has been through a lot but he will get there eventually.
Every freaken series has been like a playoff series lol shesshhh. Let’s go bravos!!!
As a lifelong Braves fan.... first game I went to in 1967...... The first of several hundred over the years ..... Only one question..... How good is this team?? Holy crap..... #CHOPON!!!!!!!?????!?
If we can get Ronald and Eddie's bats going these next two games that will be huge
GO, Braves!!
That last pitch was mean 😎
Kirby Yates saved the game. gutsy backdoor slider to end the game. confidence will serve the team in the coming olayoffs
That last picture was absolutely filthy perfection
Let’s continue this streak Braves!!! Austin Riley is on a tear right now!
Still can’t believe how good Arcia has been.
Nice win for the Braves tonight
Good win by the Braves...good to see Kirby Yates toughen up for that last batter for the save and the win. ⚾🙂
Enough about the game..who was the young lady with the Yellow blouse?😮
Go Braves Baby
I've never been to that park in Milwaukee, but from seeing it on television, it looks beautiful
GOOOOO BRAVES !!!! 😁
Love that game-ending pitch
Braves def. Brewers 6-4!!!!!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
At the Top of the 2nd Inning, Marcell Ozuna #20 (LF) doing a Sacrifice Fly as Olson scores and Orlando Arcia #11 (SS) belted a 2-Run Home Run shot it's called "Ar-SEE-YOU-LATER"!!!!!! and at the Top of the 3rd Inning, Austin Riley #27 (3B) delivers a 2-Run Home Run Blast and at the Top of the 5th Inning, Marcell Ozuna #20 (LF) smashes an RBI Fielder's Choice as the Braves win in a 6-4 winning game victory over the Milwaukee Brewers!!!!!! ⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
#ForTheA
Good Game guys🎉
Good Job Kirby Yates You finally Struck Out The last Batter after All Those Pitches
The Braves Baseball History In Milwaukee (1953-1965) 12 Seasons In Milwaukee 1 World Series Championship In Milwaukee
Yeah quite a few stars back then . Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews , Warren Spahn , Lew Burdette , I used to watch them when they played the Phillies and watched when they played the Yankees in the World Series.
Brian Anderson is such an elite announcer and I'm so jealous the brewers get him every game (well, most every game haha)
Arcya-later is just an awesome nickname
What a crazy choice for Yates to go for on that last pitch, he hardly ever throws sliders
Stay hot Riley, and good to get the W vs Peralta, he’s owned us. Keep truckin bravos
The Great Bob Uecker On The Milwaukee Brewers Radio Network
🎉🎉Go Braves🪓🎉Congratulations!
They've been having such an amazing season. It's almost like people expect them to put up 10 or 12 runs per game that's not how baseball works. Sometimes you gotta grind it out. they are one of the best teams in the league at doing that right now. That's what I love most they don't just hit for power they can manufacture runs too.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I agree. That only happens when the entire lineup is on. That good thing about this lineup is that 4 or 5 guys will be in a slump but 4 or 5 guys will be on a hot streak and carry the team. A thing of beauty occurs when 6+ of our hitters are hot. Teams stand no chance.
Go Braves 🪓😎
We need to get some bullpen help and maybe a starter or two in case Fried/Wright aren’t like they usually are when healthy
I agree. I think the pitching is the Braves achilles' heel going forward and the offense has had to compensate for that.
I heard that Sandy Koufax is available.
Chop On
Can we all appreciate that without William Contreras being an all star last year is the only reason we have Sean Murphy
Like Soroka 6 innings.. he's only gonna get better
That Was A Close Bottom Of the 9th Inning He Struck Out 2 And Walked 2
Austin Riley Is Doing Awesome
Braves pitching will be the death of them. Great game though. We need Wright and Freid back ASAP
Or do we?
@@jordans9303 we do
@@austinfrancis9723number 1 era with both of them injured. We certainly don’t “need” them
@@bunkydamonkey1225 you realize an era isn’t a single year right lol fried and wright have been a MAJOR part of the Braves success this era. Just because we are winning without them doesn’t mean we don’t need them.
@@austinfrancis9723 when were we talking about an era? Btw wright has only pitched one year for us. We have the number 1 era without them. We don’t need them.
Counting down the days when max and Kyle gets back so we don’t have to deal with this headache😂
Soroka was the ace in 2019, better than Fried
@@heartman6314 yeah, in 2019. It’s 2023 bud
I didn't know Brian Anderson did play by play for the Brewers
Backdoor curve to end it..nasty
Kome on now best rekord in baseball 64-33
To all you fans who were grumbling about Austin Riley a few games ago , you should be ashamed of yourselves. I’m not a Braves fan but I like Austin Riley, he’s probably one of the top three third baseman in all of baseball.
I went to the game it was close
Keep it koming
⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾⚾
Papa acuna plz come back
Yates is the GOAT closer. We're going again!!!
Ar see ya later going deep against the brew crew😊
I couldn't focus on the game with yellow shirt there the whole game 😅😅😅
LOL had to rewatch it to see what you were talking about... 🤣😂
It got my attention for sure 😮
ts?
Good motorboating ones too!
Braves got to make move for a pitcher
I told you Sandy Koufax is available.
I love Eddie but I think it'll be best if they just trade him , I mean he just seems lazy to me and he's always swinging and missing and has a lazy run in the outfield and very lazy swing
Yellow V Neck🥵👀
2:55 Who’s the loser in the Filthy hat? Anyway, the folks who grew up with TBS + Milwaukee being a former home = Great fan support for the Braves in Milwaukee. We get this in DC, Arizona, Cincy, Seattle, Houston, Texas (Dallas), Miami, and most of all in Tampa.
Braves are going to snatch up Ohtani like the time they signed Maddox.
I hope not. They are not that dumb (given the cost) and they don’t need him.
I was thinking the same thing it could happen .
The Braves are not paying one player 45-50 million a year.
@ww8407 I know that it was wishful thinking. The Yankees and Dodgers will pay that money not the Bravos they build from within.
Ohtani is a fabulous and amazing player, but given the money he would require for this, I don't think this is advisable at all. There's a reason the Angels are basically always a .500 team with Trout and Ohtani, two absolute standouts of the game. The Braves should try to find a good reliable arm with other means.
braves got 3 mvps lol
Spoiler block 🚫
If I had a dollar for every shitty hung breaking ball or flat sinker Soroka has thrown this year, I could afford a new jersey
The flat sinkers likely been 4 seamers, radio mentioned hes been throwing like 45-50% 4 seamers and 50% sinkers
