As a casual gamer who also needs my keyboard to be usable for work, I got the Deathstalker V2 Pro TKL. The white colorway is gorgeous and the typing experience is great. The stabilizers can use some lubing though as that rattle can be quite annoying.
The Wooting 60HE is the nicest thing I've ever bought for my PC. Straight out of the box it's just perfect. They've nailed it. From the feel to the sound without any mods even. Highly recommend it. I also switched for the first time from full size to 60% and had so much fear since I use arrows and numpad etc a lot but with function layers and double keystroke features from Wooting I've had no regrets at all. I love it so much.
Love my wooting but the switches were dry as a bone and not factory lubed at all. only on the stabs. Definitely lube that baby up. Did the whole lube job, tape mod, burger mount, aluminum case. It's 100 percent better than stock.
As a 75% lover, ROG Azoth for me. Closest thing to a custom kb I ever had. I really don't like the strap on the wooting I hope they remove that ugly feature so I can try it eventually.
As someone who used laptops exclusively for PC gaming the K100 Air is the perfect keyboard for me on my desktop. The low profile is the closest think I've used to a laptop keyboard. Most other keyboards felt big and clunky to me
I have to say if you want a full sized Keyboard The corsair K100($218) and Razer Black widow v4 ($229) both felt and worked better for me then the Asus Claymore($217). Also, Mountain is still creating add-ons for the Everest Keyboard, such as more macro pads, and from ordering to receiving my product from Austria to Canada took only 7 or 8 days. However, it is still quite expensive and that review which influenced my purchase was two years ago, so I am in full agreement with your ranking.

As someone who bought the Hyperx Origins Core Aqua only becuase of your recommendation and still uses it to this day I coudn't be more gratefull. Love the content Frank 🙌
Appreciate Frank’s input - but how does GMMK and Keychron make A tier with +6ms latency? Wooting and Steelseries deserve S tier. K100 OPX and k70 Champion TKL OPX A tier in my personal opinion. Gaming pov not a typist although I can hit a solid 130wpm with the OPX. Corsair would be S tier if ICUE didn’t suck - and k100 specifically if the cable wasn’t so bulky and the ICUE wheel wasn’t so limited in use. I’d prefer to just lose the wheel all together tbh.
DeathStalker V2 Pro ain't getting enough love here! It's fantastic, optical switch response and build quality is amazing. Yeah pricey, but good stuff. Keycaps quality are surprisingly good despite the poor reputation of ABS plastic. The coating they used here has some protective properties that negates the downsides of ABS
My favorite is my Steelseries Apex Pro TKL (2023). The best gaming feature is the dual-activation mode for the OmniPoint switches. For example, I set the W key for walk at 1.0 and run at 3.0. All the main keys can be dual-activated. My keyboard of choice for work/long typing sessions is my. Keychron K7 Pro with Gateron Brown switches. Stellar video, mate!!
Actually surprised the Royal Kludge RK61 didnt make the line-up. Probably one of the most slept on 60% boards on the market and has been for years. Modded it sounds like a 400$ keyboard.
I just bought a ASUS ROG AZOTH 75% today, and I couldn't be more happy with this purchase. It's gonna take a while lubing up the keycaps, but it is def. worth the job.
I wish Wooting had a TKL version. I have been going down the custom keyboard rabbit hole lately & searching for something to buy as a project. Not sure if I want to build one or just buy another keyboard. Right now I have the HyperX Alloy Origins Core TKL with HyperX red switches & I added Pudding keycaps. Its been decent but looking for something new.
I have a custom one I spent way too much on and the switches in this keyboard even when modded just don't sound the best, I love how they feel for gaming though.
@@twinblade02 Its not out yet. They are working on one apparently. They only have 2 for sale right now on their website & they are HE60 which is a 60% & the full size. A TKL is a 70%-75% with arrow keys Home, PGUP, PGDN, DEL, END, INS.

What kind is better, the HyperX Alloy Origins or HyperX Alloy Elite? Do you think that the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 is better or worse than HyperX Alloy Elite 1?
Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro one of the best purchases iv ever made. Yes its pricey but it has everything i wanted. Wireless, very good battery, good switches, its full sized.
For office use, I highly recommend the Cherry KC 200 MX with silent Red Switches. For the price point, it is an awesome keyboard with a very nice silent sound.
I'm going to give this list a Meh. You forgot to mention that the Huntsman and Steel Series Apex both have the same capabilities/perf as the Wooting 60HE, but unlike Wooting, both offer 75% and Full size options.
@randomfrankp Ok, fair enough. But I would place those three keyboards in the Z tier because of the analog features, plus the Asus Rog Azoth because it has the highest battery life in a wireless keyboard and looks the best "subjective". I take some points off for Razor not having an option for the Huntsman V3 Pro in white when the older one did, "Steel Series has a white limited edition of the Apex mini on their site only." But only on the Razor, unlike the Apex, can you change the switch type, sensitivity of rapid fire and the sensitivity of upstroke and downstroke, same as the Wooting. Razor has a slight edge on customizability.
hey, at 6:59 how did you get a Wooting keyboard to look like that please? im wanting to buy it but that looks amazing and i just wanted to see how much work it would take for me to get something like that.
If you are going to do a "Gaming Keyboard Tier List", but your prefer 70% keyboards (which is fine of course). Might i suggest making a separate video for the full keyboards and the ones with G keys? Else you might as well could have left them out of this list. On top of that, leave retail prices out of the video imo. You are mixing old and new retail prices into your list... it doesn't make sence. Having said all this, amazing video. love the content!!
good job on the tier list👍 btw i have a suggestion, a ''Gaming Keyboard Tier List! (Top 30+ Ranked)'' without price in mind could be handy for some people because prices could change.
the royal kludge h81 is a really underrated lubed stabilizers and switches and sturdy frame and has speed silver switches so it’s a fast actuating board and sounds great and looks great.
I'd keem Nuphy on the radar. The Air line is more in line with the Fnatic keyboard or the G915 slim profiles and the Halo line is more traditional. All hot-swappable, good-looking, moddable but looks like there's no need to mod them. Ah, and they're wireless. I'm considering pulling the trigger on the Halo75.... but I'm on the fence bewteen the white and black variants. (Add some WoB keycaps to the white one and you'll get a sleek stormtrooper look you can turn into a 501st look by adding some blue lights).
The ROG RX Reds literally amazed me with their smoothness and incredible stability. The only issue I have with it is their font (again, GAMER font) and because it's a different switch mount you can't readily replace it with custom keycaps so it's a bummer. Asus does sell keyboards with RX Reds in cheaper wired keyboard, which is what I got. You could also make the meme about having "More CONTROL" with their keyboard, since it does give you a literal physically bigger left ctrl 😂
I got the wired strix scope. The non-detachable cable is horrible, but the optical switches are def amazing. After some modding it is one of the best gamer keyboards I have ever bought. I wish the optical switch market can reach some standard PCB one day to enable more customization.
I love my GMMK pro, but I’m still bitter about the quality control of their stabilizers. Had it since launch, and they’re still ridiculously sticky and broken. Should’ve been a recall.
Almost everyone who I've seen review the Wooting has said how meh it was and needed to be modded a lot to make better. interesting you put it up there but have the Azoth in A-tier..?
I was looking for a keyboard and then this video came out, great timing and even better content. Thank you so much for this Frank ! Keep up the awesome videos.
Bought the Razer Ornata V3, after the Razer Ornata V2 and I like it. I really don´t understand why anyone would buy a Keyboard without a Numpad, except beeing a person who hasn´t learned the 10 Finger System and the Numpad for Mathematical calculations. Playing Ego-Shooter with the Numpad is so much more effective (!) If you can get the Razer Ornata V2 or V3 for under € 100, you don´t have to think much about the other options - it´s just one of the best choices you can make. The V2 has a nice wheel, where the V3 has plastic buttons for the Volume.
the prices must be really different. Here in the UK the wooting is £250-ish, for instance, if you can even get hold of one! Standard price from Wooting is around £160 plus shipping, plus import duties.
Dude youre doing a tier mixing tkl 60% and full keyboards regarding you dont even like full ones. So you literally put almost all full keyboards on B tier or less just because they arent tkl or 60%??? That makes no sense at all
The best keyboard there is? The one you've been using for 3+ years and is till as good as it was on day one. In my case, Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Rapidfire Cherry MX Low Profile Speed. I hope it never breaks.
@Blacklisted-Solveq we got our own preference of having king on something, he is the one introduce me on mech keyboard, so he is to me. sorry because it trigged you
Had been using Keychron K2 v2 modded for sometime and recently ordered and await the arrival of Keychron V1 Max with Keychron Cherry PBT Double-Shot Red Dolch keycaps which I liked (from Lemokey L1/L3 reviews). Would have gone for Q1 Max but that is out of my budget; also liked Rainy75 which has all the features but where I live it is well over $150. Once modded, it will "kill" all in this list, baring transparent keycaps but I am not that much into RGB :)) P.S. If gaming is priority and money is not, go for keyboard with magnetic switches (Rapid Fire). From the above list my choice would have been Asus ROG Azoth.
Apex pro tkl wireless only cons I can think of is the software. After firmware update you get a very good rapid trigger sensitivity which felt similar to my wooting 60e but this one has wireless so I use my apex pro tkl wireless lately
A gaming keyboard tierlist should reflect objective performances not sound or how it feels otherwise it wouldn't be "gaming tierlist", putting an apex pro in B tier when it's one of the best keyboards to play competitive games is outrageous
I always recommend Keychron mainly because they have so many PREBUILT OPTION... I mean if they don't make it you don't need it at this point. All the price point and all the differences.
Are there any full size keyboards that you would bring up there to because I personally rather have a full size. And I'm just trying to figure out are there no full-size keyboard that would be god tier or anything like that because they have a keypad?
I wonder if SteelSeries rapid trigger releasing after this vid would change the rankings at all? Considering there’s only 3 keyboards with that technology it would at least be A tier now imo.
Howdy, Randomfrankp, At 6:33, you mentioned that Cherry's reputation has gone down over the past few years. Could you please elaborate? I am genuinely curious what happened with them. I remember when most people recommended avoiding the custom switches and always picking Cherry and Geteron instead. Again, I'm not trying to argue or anything. I'm wondering if I missed something about the company in the last few years. Thanks in advance.
very surprised the razer analog was not on this list, as it seemed everyone liked it, other then price, but still would have liked to have seen it in the list.
Looking to upgrade my Rocket Aimo 100, I'm looking at the SteelSeries Apex Pro (Full size which has the USB passthrough). How would you rate that at today's prices (£160). Not that I am also running on Mac OS which is software supported by SteelSeries so taking that into account on keyboard choice.
SS Apex boards have hall effect "switches" if you could even call them that at this point, which makes them superior to anything other than the wooting. I have one wired and one wireless of those and while they really not that good for typing because of the rather tinny sound they make they are functional equiavalents to the wooting save for the analog input function for racing or simulation games.
Are you still using Apex pro up to this day? and you think its still the best till this day? i am talking full size keyboard, i need the extra num pad keys for my own gameplay.

I agree on Iqunix boards all the way. I have the L80 cosmic traveler and loved it so much I bought three other boards from Iqunix. No mods needed
Still waiting for cool tech under 50 for June
I liked the typing feel and sound on the Huntsman v2 actually but returned it because I thought the keys/lighting looked bad.
the prices must be really different. Here in the UK the wooting is £250-ish, for instance, if you can even get hold of one! Standard price from Wooting is around £160 plus shipping, plus import duties.
That keycap set on your wooting is fire. Love my wooting. Hoping they come out with a TKL
Insane thank you so much for this, helpful!
Dude youre doing a tier mixing tkl 60% and full keyboards regarding you dont even like full ones. So you literally put almost all full keyboards on B tier or less just because they arent tkl or 60%??? That makes no sense at all
I think it would be cool if you can review other companies such as that of Fantech and Royal Kludge with their keyboards.
As someone who loves to game and uses a g715 keyboard its amazing its really clean theres a gaming mode
God tier is keychron q7 for me. Full metal with double gaskets and triple foaming
The best keyboard there is? The one you've been using for 3+ years and is till as good as it was on day one. In my case, Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Rapidfire Cherry MX Low Profile Speed. I hope it never breaks.
Just bought the corsair k65 for 55 dollars, I feel like it was worth the price?
the keyboard king is making a tier list, i bought my first mech keyboard because of this channel, that's the Corsair Strafe
Once modded, it will "kill" all in this list, baring transparent keycaps but I am not that much into RGB :))
P.S. If gaming is priority and money is not, go for keyboard with magnetic switches (Rapid Fire). From the above list my choice would have been Asus ROG Azoth.
Apex pro tkl wireless only cons I can think of is the software. After firmware update you get a very good rapid trigger sensitivity which felt similar to my wooting 60e but this one has wireless so I use my apex pro tkl wireless lately
but it still has very poor quality
@@ClacKeyTechnah, not as bad as my g915
Id like to see you review the Nuphy Field 75
Just got mine and im really impressed.
Wish performance factored in more to this list. Some of the A tier keyboards are bad in regards to latency!
What is the brand of key caps at 12:57. Blue and black. Shine through.
i'm so sick of double typing from my Logitech G613. Wooting might be the next choice
A gaming keyboard tierlist should reflect objective performances not sound or how it feels otherwise it wouldn't be "gaming tierlist", putting an apex pro in B tier when it's one of the best keyboards to play competitive games is outrageous
Curious where you would have put the Logitech g915 if you had included it.
Full massive setup in the back, Frank doesn't even bother with it lmao
Nice review! 🎉🎊🥳🥳🥳
I always recommend Keychron mainly because they have so many PREBUILT OPTION... I mean if they don't make it you don't need it at this point. All the price point and all the differences.
Even though I have a ducky one 3 mini that I have used for years I would tend to agree but I will always love it.
Are there any full size keyboards that you would bring up there to because I personally rather have a full size. And I'm just trying to figure out are there no full-size keyboard that would be god tier or anything like that because they have a keypad?
what the point of duplicating extra number keys? it's a waste of space
you are one of the best recourses to find peripherals.
thanks for always giving us links.
and imo very useful opinions.
I have an ASUS Azoth and it's quite an amazing keyboard.
I wonder if SteelSeries rapid trigger releasing after this vid would change the rankings at all? Considering there’s only 3 keyboards with that technology it would at least be A tier now imo.
What are the keycaps on the Wooting?
Wanna know aswell
I have the Corsair K65 RGB MINI 60%. and bought used for 40 €. I like it a lot. Why the critics? 😥
because it has a very bad value
Howdy, Randomfrankp,
At 6:33, you mentioned that Cherry's reputation has gone down over the past few years.
The only thing I really want from Logitech aurora are the wrist support clouds :D
Your thoughts on the Corsair K70 MAX with the MGX switches?
why wasnt the g915 on there? :o
Great tier list
hey @FrankP the link from the ASUS ROG Claymore II goes to a ASUS ROG Spatha and the link from the ASUS ROG Azoth goes to ASUS ROG Claymore II
very surprised the razer analog was not on this list, as it seemed everyone liked it, other then price, but still would have liked to have seen it in the list.
does apex pro mini's tier changes with their new rapid triigger?
Why there are no HyperX Alloy Elite 2, is it not better thanHyperX Origin?
No Logitech Keyboards highend G915 Lightspeed here?
Are you still using Apex pro up to this day? and you think its still the best till this day? i am talking full size keyboard, i need the extra num pad keys for my own gameplay.
thanks, this is very insightful.
Dude seriously what do you have against full-size keyboards! The Corsair k100 is A tier minimum. 10 key is an absolute must-have especially if you work from home like I do
no
If you could do this same concept except for pre-built PCs for causals who know nothing about PC gaming rigs like me, that would be awesome 👀
where would the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless would be on this Tier list?
A for sure.
