Only two weeks ago my daughter, her fiancé was over at my house and we were talking in my backyard when he noticed a cottonmouth right behind me and calmly asked me where do I keep my shovels. I showed him and he ended up killing it. He is now my hero. Stay safe out there. And please leave the bee work to Buddy. Y’all are awesome
Steph, you are such a sweetheart I just love ya. Jamis garden does look really good. I hope she can get those aphids taken care of before it hurts her little pear tomatoes. I am sure glad Buddy was there to kill that snake. It was huge and so dangerous. I would pay no mine to the snake huggers when it comes to venimous snakes. E Lora sure looks like her mama. So pretty. You have an awesome garden! It's just so neat looking.
Glad your eyes found that water moccasin…that is a bad boy for sure! Buddy is the hero of the day! Jamie does have some beautiful gardens….Wes and Angie of Big Family Small Farm were invited to the Sanctuary to build this project and did a wonderful job! Yea! A trip to the family grocery store….here’s supper! YUM!
Thank you, Stephanie 🥰 I think you should do what ever you need/want to do to keep you, your family and your animals safe ❤ You, Jami and Pawpaw have fantastic gardens, everything is cropping so heavily 🙂 I hope you are feeling better and have a lovely day, Stephanie 🥰🥰
You all on the Hill take such good care of each other. I am all for eliminating the poisonous threats ! I am glad you are ok after the bee issue and that you MIL was nearby.
So glad you spotted the water moccasin and Buddy was able to eliminate it. The #1 priority is keeping the people and animals on Morrow Hill safe! Watched Lester take out 2 intertwined, breeding water moccasins with one shot on one of the ISS videos. It was a very awesome, impressive shot with his rifle. Wow! Jami’s garden is doing wonderful. For someone who didn’t like, nor know anything about, gardening 2 to 3 years ago she’s come a long way! ❤️🙏
Hello Steph. I hope you are feeling better. That snake is what nightmares are made of...You and Buddy did what had to be done to protect your family and animals. It was sweet of you to check Jami's garden. ❤❤
I'm terrified of those nasty buggers. I can't even look at them. Buddy you are my hero. Steph really cool of you to check on Jamie's garden. Love all kinds of squash
I was thinking it looked like a tire, then you said the same thing. It was huge! It’s your property and you do whatever you need to do, to keep your homestead safe for your family, animals, and whatever might be in harms way. Great job Buddy. At Jami’s garden, I hope someone takes the veggies that had been picked and put in a cooler location. Have a great day ❤❤❤
Nice seeing you on Lesters live. At first I thought I was looking at a tire. That looked like a huge snake. Fun checking out someone else’s garden. Jami has a great garden
I absolutely love your and Buddy’s gentle approach to things. Thank you for such a great video 💗🌸 PS anything dangerous to your family’s well being is understandable to dispatch without apology.
You have children and critters so snakes have to go. Non venomous is one thing just have to move them along away from the chickens. Y'all have great looking gardens.
Wow! THAT was huge! Good spotting Stephanie! And way to go Buddy! ♥️ I’ve decided I need me a ‘Buddy’! Only more my age range. 😂 Stay blessed guys. And cherish that love. ❤🙏❤
Steph those little odd shaped tomatoes in Jamie's garden are grape tomatoes!!! They are very Hardy & very sweet as a snack or in salads!!! They are very easy to grow in pots indoors!!! I used to grow them in my apartment to have tomatoes all year long!!!
It’s so funny because Jami had garden envy when she stalked your garden and now you are envious of hers. Y’all should get together and go through each others gardens together. Then you can compare and bounce ideas, advice or even lessons learned off each other. It could make for a very interesting video as well
Amen. Sadly some folks don't or won't understand that some things can't and shouldn't be relocated. Like snakes and feral hogs....as you said, it will just pass the problem on to someone else that may not be able to see and/or deal with them. I understand a kind heart but logic dictates that some things simply need destroyed if they are a problem. Of course some snakes are beneficial, like king snakes, garter, coachwhips, or racers, and if I recognize them as safe I leave them be, but a cottonmouth or a copperhead in my parts will be dealt with quickly if I can get it done.
I'm with you Stephanie, any snake that is a danger to the children or animals needs to be dealt with and eliminated. Thankfully Buddy always appears at just the right time.
Omg from turtles to gators to bees to snakes oh my. Saw your Bee video today with Buddy looking for the Queen. So glad you are ok Stephanie and I hope you are able to find the Queen really soon.
They should call you eagle eye! I would have never seen that snake until I was on it. I love the South, but I hate snakes and the summer months! I was amazed at that giant tree Buddy walked past. That trunk looked like it was 100 years old! Hope you're getting your strength back.
I agree with you! Get rid of the dangerous ones, keep the good ones. My big brother lives next door to me, and for years we’ve had a big black snake that has traveled between our two properties. We see it every summer.
What is it with you and the poisonous creatures. 🫣😬😛 Luckely you saw that danger noodle and Buddy could get rid of it. Everything to protect the family and animals. 💜 Jami's garden is so pretty and I love your garden too. 😍 I hope you feeling better and the bees don't bother you anymore. 🙏🏻
Thank you Stephanie for the walk to ISS. Thank goodness you are so aware of your surroundings and know when something is out of place. Please stay safe. Enjoy the rest of your day. Hello to the rest of your family.
So happy to see you out and about. Really scary to see you in the hospital. I love watching your videos from cooking, canning and gardening. Take care!❤
Norma here. You were in the right place at the right time to spot that venomous snake. Thankfully, Buddy was home and got rid of it for good. You absolutely could not allow that reptile to live with so many children and animals in the vicinity. Jami’s garden looks great and you were able to pick a nice basketful. I’ve never seen that type of eggplant, but I do believe that was butternut squash.
Sorry for the heart attack steph! Thank you for Garden sitting ❤
It was fun!

It needs to be thank you Steph and

Glod thing Buddy got home at the right time. Isn't Jami's garden amazing! She puts so much love and care into it. 💖💖💖

That snake was huge, so glad buddy took care of it.
Wow you have a good eye, I would have never seen that thing, even though it is that big 😮
One of those snakes killed Oiley the pig at Lester’s before the big pond was built. Kudos to Buddy and you!
You all on the Hill take such good care of each other. I am all for eliminating the poisonous threats ! I am glad you are ok after the bee issue and that you MIL was nearby.
That snake is huge, I thought it was a old car tire. Thank God you spotted it Stephanie. Plus snakes creep me out. Praying your feeling better

Those butternut squash, you cut it in half, scoop out the seeds and bake it on a cookie sheet with Brown sugar.
I absolutely love your and Buddy’s gentle approach to things. Thank you for such a great video 💗🌸 PS anything dangerous to your family’s well being is understandable to dispatch without apology.
Glad ur feeling better .
Steph I fully agree with eliminating the bad snakes. I don’t like any snakes but I think it’s nice that you save the non dangerous ones.
You have children and critters so snakes have to go. Non venomous is one thing just have to move them along away from the chickens. Y'all have great looking gardens.
Good morning ☀️
Ugh, Steph you guys got some serious snakes down there. 😮
Beautiful bounty.

I’ve decided I need me a ‘Buddy’! Only more my age range. 😂

Great spotting to see that snake in the long grass ... it's a big one.
It’s so funny because Jami had garden envy when she stalked your garden and now you are envious of hers.
Y’all should get together and go through each others gardens together. Then you can compare and bounce ideas, advice or even lessons learned off each other. It could make for a very interesting video as well
Miss Stephanie, FAMILY is always #1. With your eyesight you could've been a U.S. fighter pilot!
He's huge!
Don't apologize. It has to go! They all need to go.
I saw and yessss it’s big big snake 🐍. 👀👀👀
Omg! Get it Buddy! That is a big snake. It did look like a tire.
Relocation is passing your problem to someone else. Great job Steph & Buddy!
A little lunchtime hero action.

@@thedenmanhomestead Take a vacation to the Netherlands where I live. It's boring but no stingie or biting creatures like in Texas. 😅😛
That was a big one. I don’t blame you for doing what is best for you and your family and the animals.
