THANKS FOR WATCHING! - Навчання та стиль
Somebody asked me while I was in the garden why I was looking inside the rolled up leaves. I tell them A wise man once told me, that's where the bugs hide. Thank you y'all for all the good advice
Yep they are tearing my cannas up
Finally. Thank you Lord.
Congratulations on getting the corn bandit. Your plants look great.
Raccoons have a BAD habit of urinating around where they eat & that smell is putrid…
Cut one of them egg plant up and give it to the chickens.
When I was a kid we always shared with the chickens.
They love cabbage
I have an off the wall watermelon thought.
What if it was sliced up with some spicy peppers (dealer's choice) left to soak and then either dehydrated or freeze dried? It would be a zippy watermelon candy almost.
I was very late getting my melon transplants in the ground.. but they vines are good. They didn't really get transplant shock.
I put in two different honey dews and two Juan canary melon plants.
Here in nebraska its said smut is from too dense planting and humidity....
You need a basket to harvest the caterpillars for the chickens!
I love these garden tours. I always learn so much!!
HEY Y'ALL, LOVE SEEING UPDATES ON THE FARM.
🦋👋Good Morning Mr Danny & Miss Wanda. Have a Blessed Day
I just love your video so much every time I see when I click on it right away thank you for all the work you guys do and thank you for sharing your life on the farm. I always learned something from you guys.
I just can't believe how dang tall that corn is! NICE!! ♥️🙏🏼🇺🇲
Glad you caught the culprit. Hopefully no more come around. Corn looks amazing. Blessings to you both
Working on assembly line with heat index of 110. It isn't even July!
Dang, do tomato worms come out of the soil ??? Unbelievable they are so BIG !! The vego trellises look sooo good! That was a good choice for ya’ll if you ask me!!
Congratulations on that raccoon. We had one napping way up in the top of a tree. He had a 22-caliber awakening
Followed by a dirt nap, right?
@@vickisavage8929 yep, he was not going to have dinner on our chickens later that night lol
Mr. Danny, you sould have gave the raccoon a funeral and said a few words with being so sneaky as he was ( course I'm sure you have already said some choice words). That would have been so funny. 😅😊
Loved the "Here is my pet"!! When teaching junior high science, you never knew what a kid would bring in. One young man brought in a huge Golden Garden spider and showed everyone how he could pet it. Freaked a few kids out! :) Those spiders run in cycles around here. Some years there are several "hanging around." Other years, not so much. BTW....glad you got the critter!!
Here in Southwest Missouri they are called zipper. They are your best friends.
Yep! All of the raccoons we have trapped will fight until they give out. We use marshmallows.
Thank you for the video. I learn with each video. Y’all work so hard. Garden looks good y’all will get more corn will Without the raccoon.
7:38 There's weird stuff goin on not only with corn Danny, but with all kinds of things for a couple years now! 🙏❤️
Harvest looks great!! The smaller eggplant variety here is loved by the elders. Grated in "zucchini" bread recipe was great.
You and Wanda certainly have your plates full!
This year I get to eat about half of the sweet corn that I planted because of squirrels. I feel lucky: some years I don't get any corn at all which is why I do not try to raise very much sweet corn.
Be careful with that pet in the hugh tunnel, rhose things leave a big black spot on you, when they bite. Fifty cent piece size. American Garden Spider. She's not nicw when she bites
😆
All I can say is I love y'all. I enjoy your videos and your life. Regards from far north California
I'll be surprised if people dont want the smut , its big in the mushroom community
Would y’all be interested in any olive trees for PG? They wouldn’t be shipped until after the hot season is over. Everyone knows about the fruit, but the leaves are very valuable for nutrition and medicinal benefits.
Yes
@@pecangrovems 😁 Coming soon. Still praying that y’all get abundant showers of blessings without any storm damage.
That is so weird. Here in NC field corn turns brown and then the corn drops . And Danny corn is dropping when it’s green .
If you had Arab neighbors, they'd be making babba ganoosh!
Them critters are smart enough to stay away from the junk. We should be so smart.
Mrs Wanda has a great eye for finding ripe vegetables in heavy vegetation! We’ve been lucky, no horn worms, but the leaf footed stink bugs have shown up. They are evil little creatures! We’re about at the end of our tomatoes though, so I’m going to try butterbeans as I clear tomato beds.
Many Blessings, Shalom!
Since I planted onions all around in the garden I have much less tomato worms.
Good afternoon. So glad y'all got at least one of those corn thieves 😂. Hopefully not many more. Understand the busyness as we have been working for the last few years trying to get our infrastructure set up. Be praying for ya. Have a blessed day.
Glad you caught the culprit 😊 All of your veggies are doing great.
Them are some fine looking eggs plants YALL grow the best
So beautiful - garden is somethin else. Xo
The corn is amazing! We are so excited to have Danny Corn in our garden this year. We are going to save seed so we can plant more in the future. A huge thank you to y'all!
You have to keep those critters away. Glad you got him.
Got him! Next.
Glad got raccoon. Enjoy updates
I NEVER HAD EGGPLANT .. MAIL ME ONE OR TWO. I WILL TRY IT. WHILE THEY ARE SMALL.
I wonder whether the eggplants could be freeze dried and powdered for later use.
Not sure
Thank you for posting! What did you baitnyour trap with?
It was a combination of lots of different foods left in the trap.
That's right get him Danny
Beautiful Corn😊
Female orb web spider.
Yay! Glad you got him!!
Good morning guys yes I love those tubs. I have a few and I have a few raised beds that my husband built very small and then we just built a metal one from some sheet metal. We had two of them. We built two but them tubs I love them I’ve already had them for three or four years so I think the soil is great 🌱and it got plenty of worms.
December potatoes.
Great video God bless
I got 2 pods of okra yesterday , a few foot long green beans and maters and 8 eggs …I made a frittata with them
Pretty good … mater plants are burning up here in Texas , vine borers got the squash , can’t get Cherokee tan punkins to live this year… started more squash and will try pumpkins another way
❤🌽🌽🌽😊
So… just one?
Your garden looks great Danny and Wanda always enjoy watching what’s growing. And what you do to keep it healthy.. if you haven’t named your little calf yet I wonder if Louie would be a cute name. Take care and God bless.
I’m so glad that you caught the raccoon. When they’ve “attacked” our corn field they’ve brought their entire families and destroyed our entire patch right at the time for us to harvest. Now that’ll upset you. 🌽🦝
Nice corn.😊
When I first had smut in my corn many year's ago, I was told watering at the wrong time &/or watered above. For you guy's having such tall stock .. not sure the last option is possible with the exception of your humidity.
Glad you finally got the culprit.
DEAD EYE DANNY.
I was right; that plant predator’s last meal was a bait of Danny corn. Any mouthful can be eaten by only one mouth. The chickens will be squabbling over the plant predators that y’all harvest from the greenhouse for them because they know that’s right.
Shalom.
Coon ate all my sweet corn, does dog kennel work to keep them out? I have replanted and need to get something bfore next crop is ripe.
It has worked for us.
@@pecangrovems i hope to try it, thanks
Your high tunnel is beautiful! I have two pet writing spiders in my garden too.
Make sure you do Not keep seed off the mutation stocks unless its something you want you future corn to do.......otherwise you will increase the number of mutations in future corn.
I don't
Danny hand harvests and hand selects his seed corn one ear at a time.
Cool, I love your channel, watch you both , am loyal follower. Love watching Danny with the farm all and the cows and love Wanda's turns through fruit trees, blueberries, and flowers, and both of you in high tunnel. Looking forward to seeing future videos. 😊
Pecan Grove is so lush and productive. I am glad you finally got your corn thief.
When do you harvest your watermelon? Mine are about that size.
It will become dull in color and yellow underneath.
@@pecangrovems THX
I did not know that about the rolled up eggplant leaf, Thank you!!
My Brussel sprout leaves are like that. Worm hidden inside.
A lot of our corn here in SC grew outside the husks too. Never had that happen before!
Wished I had some of those tubs
Most cattle raisers give them away.
In Illinois farmers would sell corn stalks for horses and cows. I don’t know if there is any nutrition in it.
🙏🙏🙏❤️🕊️👍 question are you going to relocate Elvis to pecan Grove and if you do would you show the trapping technique that you use to catch him I'm specially interested in what type of bait?
He's already here.
You two have been working tremendously hard!
I love it when a writing or zipper spider spins a web at my house.
Congrats on getting the raccoon. The corn is amazing. Great garden tour.
Good morning.
Morning
Good morning.
Morning
Everything is beautiful!
Good mornin’ 😊 Questions! 1. The last baby girl getting cubes, why is she by herself 😢 2. So the corn is already getting close - Can you do another planting?
Hopefully they see your questions and reply, but I believe I heard on another video they separate her because she Is a slow eater and that's how they are sure she gets enough to eat. Such beautiful animals!!
She gets bullied by the other cows this way she gets something to eat.
How big of a plot is your corn garden?
100x300
Once corn smut is present, it's based in the soil. So if you want to keep planting corn on that spot, you need to treat the soil with a fungicide. Or else, lay down clear plastic tarps to solarize the soil. Once that process is complete, you need to go back and reestablish your soil microbiology before planting again.
I've never been hungry enough to eat corn smut!
