The women on “The Hill” are some of the most talented, strong go getters with the most incredible strong willed spirits, I think I have ever had the privilege see. I can’t remember hearing a single one of them say “ I can’t “. It’s more like, “here, hold my water/drink “. When you put them together, it’s get out of the way, women at work!! It warms my heart. Kudos ladies, KUDOS!!!
As an older single homesteader I have to tackle all the jobs by myself. All of the women on Morrow Hill are self reliant women who say " I can do this". Happy Thanksgiving to the Denman Homestead.
Buddy put me more in mind of "here, hold my beer." 😂😂 When we had our pool, we just put some extra chlorine tabs in over the wi ter & covered it up. The filters cleaned everything out the next spring. Good job sharpening the chainsaw blade Steve!
We live in Iowa and had the same above ground pool for 20 years. In mid-September, we made sure the pool was clean, the PH and chlorine levels were where they needed to be, added the winterizing chemicals and let them circulate for 24 hours, used the pump to pump water out to below the return line, unhooked all the hoses, drained the pump and filter so it didnt freeze, put the winter cover on, and done. In the spring, we took the cover off, and 90% of the time, it looked as clean as when we put it away in the fall. We just had to shock it and make sure the kevels were good, and of course, wait for it to warm up. Sorry, I didn't realize it would turn into a book. 😂
Really amazing ladies - can be ultra glamorous one moment and get on with all the jobs that need doing on the next. Quite remarkable and an outstanding example to the little ones.
This reminds me of watching my Dad sharpen his saw. He worked in the woods in the winter and road construction in summer. Dad had a horse that he used to pull the logs out of the woods. Steph you are the only one I ever saw sharpen their saw on the hill. Maybe you need to hold a class on Morrow hill on how to sharpen your saw after you use it.😃😇 You and Buddy are a treasure to watch.
Hi Steph and Buddy think you had the better deal this time Steph. Great job telling tree and that pool came up so much better Buddy. Have a fun day. Take care God Bless. 💕🙏
I hope you had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!!! 💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!!! Have a great evening!!!
I had a pool like that. We left it up year round. Put the cover on it. Just put chlorine in it through the filter system. We let the pump run on the colder nights. It stayed crystal clear year round. When spring came, we opened it like normal. I live in Southeast Georgia.
If you ever have to drain the pool again, I suggest using a sump pump. That’s what my dad has used in the past when we had to drain the water off a pool cover. It gets all the water out and makes doing work a lot easier.
Love how the woman in your family do so many things n not because they have to cause there men don't do things like at my house but because they want to and can ❤
I took my pool completely down and it took me a week to clean it out and let it dry I also used a car wash brush and bleach to get the algae off it it was a job I didn't use pressure washer cause I thought it would rip the liner good luck with your pool
Why do you empty your pool for the season? I’ve never emptied one. We vacuum real good, chlorinate and cover for the winter. Then we do the reverse order in the Spring.
You hiys. I found out if you use dishwasher soap on things it helps clean really well. I'm guessing because it is supposed to help dissolve food on your dishes. We have used it on windows to get the water deposits off from the windows when the sprinklers were hitting the windows. I also washed my artificial flowers and nicnacks when they get a layer of dust. It makes it feel silky and rinses off really well
are you planning on storing the pool for the winter? We had a doughboy 32" and were told that we'd have to buy a new liner for it if we tore this pool down and then reassemble it. We were told to keep it wet in the process while we were moving it. A new liner back the in the 80's was about $800 which we could not afford but since this pool was being gifted to us we had no idea what we were doing. We were very very careful with it. Under normal circumstances you drain it down to a certain level, throw some chemicals in there and cover it until you open it up in the spring. So by you tearing the pool down early for the winter what are you going to do with it? Store it or put it back up? They make chemicals to clean all that algae. It'll prob crack being in dry conditions, and you will have to buy a new liner (not cheap especially in the spring). What did ur instructions say to do to winterize it?
I just started watching the pool getting cleaned. Before I see Buddy clean I am giving my thoughts. I think the shop vac vacuum and then cleaning was a much better idea. Now let see if Buddy idea is better….
Buddy, I think my thoughts would have worked better. Vacuum out all the crud and then pressure clean, vac again, then scrub, wash, vac, and never take the wall down. But you were doing it all I am just sitting in my lazy chair being a expert.
They’re from Texas. Women in Texas seem to me are tougher and not afraid to get their hand dirty they like to work outside and are willing to help other people that I get from the women I met in Texas I know a lot people are going to take ithis comment the wrong way but this was. My experience when I was in Texas if you don’t like what I said am not sorry I Offend you I don’t really care
Steph who taught you to sharpen the chainsaw? Just curious…maybe you just watched a utube! Love y’all’s videos, thanks for sharing your lives with us!❤
Why did, you let it get green and yucky??? You could have maintained it till shut down. Then you let out water till below intake and out put of the filter system! Drain all the water from the sand filter, put in closing chemicals put on closing tarp, till opening next year!! Alot easier than having to do all what you did!😊😊😊oh, I forgot you put in closing chemicals while you can still use the filter to make sure it is mixed well, then do what I had said.
Why don’t you put a cover over it when it’s full and just winterise it by putting chemicals in it for over the winter it’s less hassle unless with those pools you aren’t able to do that. We never took ours down when we had our above ground pool but they’re a different style with a complete metal side and a vinyl liner and it was up for over 10 years until no one was using it anymore .😊

Love watching you and Buddy work together! You both are so talented. You can do just about anything by yourselves or together!💞

Ppl behind me have one. OMG the stench when they empty it.

I had lots of trees taken down close to the house before we had our new roof put on. Still a ton of trees around me left.
That worked better than I thought it would
Thanks for the video.
Good afternoon Stephanie way to go Happy Thanksgiving guys hope you had a blessed one ❤🎉

That gas you used will save all your power tools. It may be more expensive but cheaper than buying new equipment. ❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
❤️❤️❤️ your real men of genius salute
How did Dan keep his pool clean?
I'm still learning, it didn't realize when we got it how much went into maintaining it. Next year I think I'll have it down.
Teamwork makes the dreams work and yes the weather in Michigan is bitter cold and my sinuses are burning 🙏♥️☕
Need to brush it when it turns green to get that all off
What a great job well done.. Happy Thanksgiving to all of Morrow hill enjoy your dinner at Kim's house.

Way to work smarter, not harder!
After every trip to bush to cut winter wood supply chainsaw and axes were sharpened by my dad
Hello ❤️🇨🇦
Why do you empty your pool for the season? I’ve never emptied one. We vacuum real good, chlorinate and cover for the winter. Then we do the reverse order in the Spring.
I love to use a pressure washer…it is so satisfying. 😊 Wishing everyone on The Hill a Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃❤
You two are what make the statement true .Team work make the dream work. 😂😂😂❤
❤
Need to check into a salt water pool.. Way more easy to take care of..
💕👏
Stephanie, KEEP A CHLORINE FLOATER IN THE POOL AND IT WONT TURN GREEN… EVEN WITH NO FILTER!!
Y'all are an awesome team!

Thank you from a Texan. I am very independent. If I can do it, why get someone to do it.
I thought you should never empty an above ground pool. If it dries up, the vinyl will shrink. Chemical cleaning instead
Yes, that green can be cleared
Steph who taught you to sharpen the chainsaw? Just curious…maybe you just watched a utube! Love y’all’s videos, thanks for sharing your lives with us!❤
Hello ❤
You guys seem videos where people from North Carolina say they need help and feel like they've been abandoned
Did your filter quit working on you that it got like that? Next year you'll have to get a vacuum for it
Why did, you let it get green and yucky??? You could have maintained it till shut down. Then you let out water till below intake and out put of the filter system! Why can’t you start power washing while laying flat on the ground, then lifting up? Just asking, cause curious. I have no working knowledge 😂😂
Cover?
🦃🍗🇺🇸
Can’t see what you are doing.
Yucky
Your video is messed up going to fast
Not, she put it on fast forward otherwise the video would have been too long…
