Thanks Alex! This one has been on the radar for a while. I am like ing the particular “flavor” of Peba that Hoka has been using lately, so I’m eager to try these!
Hey man I run 2x a week maybe 1 to 4 miles I go for time would thos be a good running sneaker for that? I usually use the cliftons but here these r good for time. Also if I wanna eventually do like 6 miles or more would u say go to the rocket x or cielo x1? I don't think I'll ever do a marathon maybe half marathon maybe lol. Also if I do a 5k or 10k cielo x or rocket? Thx man
Thanks Alex! A great looking shoe too. I have a question. I'm looking to compete in some track races, from 1500 to 5000, and would love to hear your recommendations for track racing shoes which aren't spikes. Would this shoe work? Or maybe the Adios 8? Can you think of any others? Cheers, Tom
Size question. WOuld you use the same size for this shoe as for the Rocket X 2? Because I use UK9.5 for the Rocket X but have to go up to UK10 for the Rocket X 2.
Think not. He spoke in the video of two comparisons: Takumi vs streakfly; and road vs adios 8. The later to be done, the former here ua-cam.com/video/TYTu4EXpJFE/v-deo.html
Why not use it for tempos? Lightweight and cushioned but no plate to strain your feet - sounds perfect to me. I currently use the Vanish Tempo for that, yet these would be a tad lighter and likely a bit more responsive, albeit less cushioned and with less grip.
Lucky I don't listen to you! I don't need these, I already have the Topo Cyclone 2 and love them and I think their a fun shoe. As a forefoot striker who likes things more natural, the lack of flexibility up front isn't going to work for me.
if hoka started putting PEDEX and modern foams and none of this eva without any rubber Hoka's would be way better. EVA is just boring, old and plan. i would love to see the Rincon sauced up and the Clifton.
We are witnessing a hoka revolution
I'm curious to see when Brooks will go PEBA (or another high energy return super foam).
Hoka is finally making shoes that are exciting. The designs are looking better also.
Thank you Alex for this review 😊😊😊
Can you do a comparison between the Hoka Cielo Road and the Topo Cyclone 2

Nice video, seems to be a honest and good presentation
Comparison and Difference with Saucony Endorphin Speed 3?
but have you tried the shoe for easier/daily pace runs? is it that bad for slower pace?
would give it a try! Thanks for the review
would also like to see the liberate nitro 2 compared

“Cielo spike - a shoe you probably haven’t heard of.” I didn’t know Alex was a hipster haha😂
I'm waiting for Saucony Sinisters to be delivered. Same idea as these only lower stack and 6mm drop. Great to have a choice of minimalist racing shoes
This is in no way minimalist.
@@QronoZ713 Compared to super shoes though
@@07Corcaigh 32 mm heel is just 2 mm less than original VF. Sure, it's less of a shoe than the current marathon racers.
interesting, but would the better comparison not be the Takumi Sen 9? Which by the way has a way more generous upper than the 8.

Is it suitable for easy run ?

So you wouldn't take it for a 5k-5mi race? Only for interval sessions?
5k would be fine of course but I'd rather go with a supershoe then
I need this
Top Alex …Hoka est en grande forme en ce moment 👏👏👏😍🇫🇷
J’me sens mal d’avoir acheter les bondi 8 en pensant que il n’y avais pas mieux😂! Je reste contente de l’achat pour les courses faciles
Would you race in this over the Speed Elite Hyper?
Yes
How would u compare it with the mach5
Very interesting 🎉🎉🎉
I assume by Adios 8 you mean Takumi Sen 8?
Why would you assume that?

Amazing shoes , can these work for a marathon ?
Pls do altras!

They have the Mach x for tempos and the x'2s for racing
@@markhill8590 Mach Xs have a plate - some of us like doing runs in non-plated shoes. Also, Mach X is much heavier.
@@johnwhitesides566 good point suppose the mach x is more off a played daily trainer and the x'2 is a fantastic race day shoe
Best hair in the game?
🙏🏻🙏🏻
What is the point in these shoes when they have the x2's and mach x amongst other shoes?
These are the type of shoes I've been waiting for. The New Balance Rebel v3 is still my favorite.
I was so much in love with the Rebel v2 that I never dared to purchase v3 to avoid frustration
I guess now you're crying about the Rebel v4 :D@@dominikschrott7412
