Jake's version of Let Me Love You is definitely one of the Glee songs that I personally think is better than the original
Haha Love Song was on the charts a few years ago before this aired but ths version went on the charts after it aired. You have no idea how obsessed the fandom was with Quinn’s bassier sound at this point of the series
Maybe someone already said it, but when Sara was looking to make herself a name her producers asked her to write something she wasnt comfortable with at the time, which was write a sappy love ballad. Then she made Love Song and as the song indicates, she not gonna write a love song just cause they asked for it, cause they need one, the same as Rachel not doing the scene while not being comfortable with it.

This is The New Year made me cry, Love Song was nice and I loved Santana and Quinn were looking after Rachel's back even between their "feud".
Let Me Love You(Until You Learn To Love Yourself) was f****** amazing. Best song of Season 4 and I might go as far as to say I like this one better than the original.

I feel like season 4 was by far the weakest, so if you're enjoying it, I have very high hopes for the rest.
The song at the end of the episode is "This Is The New Year" by A Great Big World, the guys who sing Say Something. The parts of the video on the white background are supposed to be like the song's actual music video.
Season 4 it's not as bad as Season 5. That season is garbage in every single way, there's like only 4 or 5 episodes that actually are good.
honestly, season 4 was so much better than 5 and 6. the only good thing about season 5 was the new york roommates content and the only good thing about season 6 was the wedding stuff

Did no one think that it might be illegal having underage teenagers pose in what could be considered a "lewd and lascivious" manner? Even if a teenager is clothed, if the pose or context can be considered "explicit" the photographer can get in trouble for CP. And the school would be in trouble because not only did they allow these images to be taken for a school club but the calendars were disseminated, with the full knowledge of the staff, on school property. Maybe this is addressed in the episode and it just isn't in the cut version but even for Glee, I find it a little bizarre that no one thought that just maybe this wasn't a good idea. Also, I agree that a lot of the songs really didn't fit in this episode. Not one of the better episodes in my opinion.
Good episode and good songs. The only real issue is the mishandling of the idea of performing nude scenes. Lots of serious actors and actresses do nude or semi-nude scenes on tv or in movies, and have no issue doing it if the project calls for it. Yeah, you'll get the rare actor or actress who won't do completely nude scenes, but it's hardly the massive issue that Kurt and Rachel are making of it.
Actors don't see it as a big issue but the public does, I think that's what the episode failed to specify, that Rachel's career was just starting and it could affect how the public viewed her. Like, no one cares if an actress gets naked in a prestigious movie, but people see them as cheap bimbos who rely on their bodies instead of acting if they do it on trash flicks.
Like Megan Fox was slutshamed and objectified to hell and back back in her Transformers days for posing in sexy scenes, and she didn't even appear naked in them.
I ship blaine and sam so bad, even if its controversial lol
