Samuel Larson and Damian McGinty won their Glee roles through The Glee Project. Winners got a several epidode arc. The girl that Kurt called "the Gerber baby" was on Glee Project too. Blaine was written out for 3 episodes so he could do a short run on Broadway in How to Succeed in Business.
This episode actually aired only 2 days after the passing of Whitney Houston. They had already planned to use the song but it suddenly made that moment into something much different for everyone watching this episode live.
I remember this back when it first aired. Whitney Houston had passed before the episode aired and since they had already included that song, they decided to make it a tribute to her. I was in high school and just recalled how crushed I was first losing Michael Jackson and then Whitney. Love Shack was a very fun song to end the episode too.
I always laugh when they make Blaine/Darren is short (cute and compact) jokes considering he is 5’8 and I’m 5’2. But, then you see pictures of him with Cory or Harry or even Grant and some of the other “Warblers” and it’s like…yeah, I can see why they kept sliding them in.
Not sure if someone mentioned this before, but the guy that plays Rory, is/was a member of Celtic Thunder.. their rendition of "Christmas 1915" is something you should totally check out to see his talent. It's one of my faves (the song and his voice) !
almost every song has at least a verse or something cut-a downside of trying to fit about 5 songs in any given 43 minute episode. it’s unfortunate because sometimes they cut really great parts of the song or even the part the actor sings best that’s kept in the full studio versions.
i think it's because they wern't even actors and just two random people, i'm guessing they never thought glee would get past season one or as in depth were it would be needed to show her family idk which is odd because i think she's more of the lead but w/e
No shade to either Samuel or Damien but the Irish and the Christian are both the most boring characters of Glee. I know it's not 100% their fault, they did what they could with what was written for them but my lord they are so middle of the road on glee. They just don't have that sparkle that other Glee Project kids had. But good for them for getting this gig.
they definitely had really good voices so i see why they won but i just don't think ryan and co. knew how to write them and that's half of it i think the error for glee project was that they should have already made/wrote the roles to begin with instead of making them out of thin air based on the contestant who won/won runner up and it should have been who best fit the roles (maybe one male and female each season, it should have been more like that show that casted elle woods on broadway ) but i think because kurt was made because of chris they thought they could do that with everyone else but that sort of thing only happens rarely i think out of glee project the only one that inspired them writing wise was alex newell which is why their character shined the most even though they only won runner up (but ended up outlasting them all because again, they were inspired writing wise)
Rachel’s dads are so iconic lol

And Wade Unique that makes an appearence and then becomes regular on season 5 was on Glee Project

I just realised that this episode almost all of the Glee Club members sing (Except for Puck & Finn). Even Sugar got her small moment in “Love Shack” 😂
Finn's dance move was adorable!
Brian Stokes Mitchell’s is a musical legend; perfect casting for both.
I love how now matter what role Goldblum plays, he's always Goldblum 🤣
Kurt's shoulder shimmies get me every time 😂

If I remember correctly all these random characters come in and out because they were on the Glee Project in which a reward was an arc on the show
Joe’s actor won the Glee Project (along with Rory’s actor).
the crush i had on Samuel Larsen FOR YEARS omg i'm honestly still mad that he had so little solos his voice is amazing
The studio version (full version) of Love Shack actually has a line sung by Sugar where you get to hear her real voice
Yeah Artie voice is so underrated that make me mad cause people talkabout Blaine or Finn but Artie is number one to me
love shack is one of my favorite glee covers
Artie's voice is so underappreciated
Note they changed Rachel's dads from season 1
The actor playing Joe was actually cast from the Glee Project just like Rory :)

Joe actually won the Glee project along with Rory so yeah. Also Stereo Hearts was amazing.
Yes!! Artie's voice is amazing

One of my favourite glee episodes
One of my favorite Santana and Britney's moments and kisses! 🥰😍
idk how to prepare you for the next episode so... good luck
I will always love you is one of the best and most heartbreaking performances of all time ever performed in glee.Amber absolutely killed it.
Funny.....pictures of her 2 dad's that Rachel had in an earlier episode are not these two guys!

Not unheard of to recast from a pilot, especially from 3 years later.
Have you watch Amber aka.Marcedes in makes singer?😊
Glee Euro Dance
