@@idolaccho I think we are just looking at different aspects here. I am not talking about her voice or cadence or brashness, those can be plenty real. I am talking about her purposely playing the haughty loli character who is """"mean"""" to Otakus, but secretly likes them and is nice to them indirectly. That is 100% what waifu losers go nuts over. It's such a played out and obvious act. She is fabricating a persona (which is not that unusual for Vtubers), but she is meshing it with her real opinions occasionally.
Her pointing out that these otakus will get mad if she wouldnt stream on Christmas is a real grievance, but she also plays into their preferences by acting dismissive only to dangle the carrot of "I miiiiight have just a little time to stream for you" in front of them. The 600 million boyfriends thing is purposely so absurd that they can laugh it off or see it as cute overcompensation of a single girl.
Dont get me wrong, Chloe's vulnerable pity party act and fake cutesy voice are also pretty blatant, but Laplus is definitely putting up barriers. If she is the same person as who I think she is, then it's probably for the best, because she is kinda well known and definitely won't have a boyfriend ever (which includes her thirsty fans fantasies).
