When I had my abdominal surgery, 9 days hospital stay, two young kids and a working husband, the best care in the world was having my mom taking care of me and helping with my kids. Having the best care in the world doesn’t necessarily mean from a medical team, but the love and support of your family during your recovery.
Cancer survivor here and I 100% agree. Had brain cancer when my oldest daughter was 2. Yes I had amazing medical care but between the surgery, chemo and radiation it was my family that cared for me through the recovery ❤
I had 15 weeks off work after abdominal surgery, people who have never had that surgery have no idea just how difficult it is to even stand up straight, let alone be up and dressed every day. The best care did come from being looked after once I got home (after 12 days in hospital). Poor Kate is probably dreading going back to work, the media frenzy is going to be horrific.

What is the fascination about Catherine’s surgery. I have had surgery that cuts me from top to bottom. Those stomach surgeries takes a long while to heal. Reason being, All the layers of the stomach/ belly is cut through. Then they got stitched back up, common sense prevails, the healing takes that much longer as all the layers have to HEAL. People….Please STOP all this poking. Princess Catherine will be FINE. Please give her TIME to HEAL. 😅

Anyone who's had even minimally invasive abdominal surgery, they have to cut through the abdominal muscles. They take a very long time to repair. The fitter you are, the better they need to heel. You can't do anything without your abs. If like Catherine, Princess of Wales, you have a naturally athletic body type, have trained as an athlete, which she did (female rowing crew) and excelled at, her core muscles will be perfectly developed, the main reason why she can have three babies and probably still fit into her jeans from college. Because of all that training, and ensuring you properly engage your core muscles for strength, in order to save your back, which is structurally weaker. If you watch Catherine move, she's always got her core engaged. That's why she looks so regal. She's used to being really physically active, every thing she does needs those muscles wholly mended before she can do anything. She's very likely still in bed on doctor's orders. They'll also be extra cautious or even over cautious if they've got the next Queen to look after. Catherine will then need some fairly intense rehabilitation that probably only happens for athletes, including dancers, especially ballet, gymnasts, skaters etc. When she has to meet the crowds, she's very physical, leaning across to shake all the hands offered, bending down to talk to the little ones or dogs, i imagine they take some stamina. There really is no mystery here, other than what the operation was for, which she has chosen not to reveal, which means it's none of our business. We know of Charles's cancer, but not what type or what treatment he's receiving. But who knew our late Queen was dying from a painful, fatal cancer? No one. She still worked right to the end, the last full day. At 96 or close. They need some privacy.

No. She isn't. She is receiving care unlike anything you or I would receive. Not in terms of the compassion and skills if those delivering it, bit in every other way. Do you think any of the family are ever going to have wait hours for an ambulance? Sleep on the floor in A&E? Wait months for an appointment? Get sent home because your bed is needed? Be unable to sleep because you're on a busy ward with distressed people? Of course not. That's the difference. The NHS is an amazing institution that provides the best it can but she, and the rest if the family, will NEVER have anything less than the fastest and best care. I am a former nurse - a hysterectomy does take three months for full recovery -- if it was this, she will have hormonal changes that will wreck havoc with how she feels and getting on HRT takes a while to regulate. However, we don't really know what happened and although I agree with what you said about the secrecy causing more speculation, I thing it is kinder to let her have the time she needs. We are all concerned about her well being because we do care about her but when you have been through the wringer having major surgery. You feel like you have been run over by a huge truck, you are weak, you hurt all over, you are very tired, she is probably anemic and low on vitamins. I got my blood tested and my 11 year old granddaughter got tested and her and I were very deficient in vitamin D and Iron and I was giving her a children’s multi vitamin which was supposed to have those things in it and she was severely deficient, like I wasn’t giving her anything at all. Now she has started her period and she bleeding very heavy and she is exhausted all the time. I have switched to giving her a adult iron pill because you can’t begin to even make new red blood cells fast enough to replace what you are losing. I take two vitamin D pills and I retested and now I am at a normal level. She even drank whole milk constantly from infancy on and it is supposed to be enriched but obviously it isn’t. My daughter is a top notch doctor and most aren’t as intelligent as she is. Most men don’t understand what women go through every month and doctors no nothing about nutrition and diet and how it affects our health. As skinny as Catherine is I think it will take a while to get her health back.

Anyone who's had even minimally invasive abdominal surgery, they have to cut through the abdominal muscles. They take a very long time to repair. The fitter you are, the better they need to heel. You can't do anything without your abs.
If like Catherine, Princess of Wales, you have a naturally athletic body type, have trained as an athlete, which she did (female rowing crew) and excelled at, her core muscles will be perfectly developed, the main reason why she can have three babies and probably still fit into her jeans from college.
Because of all that training, and ensuring you properly engage your core muscles for strength, in order to save your back, which is structurally weaker. If you watch Catherine move, she's always got her core engaged. That's why she looks so regal. She's used to being really physically active, every thing she does needs those muscles wholly mended before she can do anything. She's very likely still in bed on doctor's orders. They'll also be extra cautious or even over cautious if they've got the next Queen to look after.
Catherine will then need some fairly intense rehabilitation that probably only happens for athletes, including dancers, especially ballet, gymnasts, skaters etc. When she has to meet the crowds, she's very physical, leaning across to shake all the hands offered, bending down to talk to the little ones or dogs, i imagine they take some stamina.
There really is no mystery here, other than what the operation was for, which she has chosen not to reveal, which means it's none of our business.

Be unable to sleep because you're on a busy ward with distressed people? Of course not. That's the difference. The NHS is an amazing institution that provides the best it can but she, and the rest if the family, will NEVER have anything less than the fastest and best care. Some people will think that's their right and others won't.

A hysterectomy takes three months to heal. an appendectomy doesn't take three months to recover from. Why would she blab anything about her operation? It is no one's business - it could be a hysterectomy, fibroids, etc. - but that is no one's business! Wouldn't you want some privacy?

And you’re right it’s no one’s business, however when you’re a public figure like a president for example people want to know because they are concerned. The royal family doesn’t want scandal and yet they perpetuate it by doing these kind of things and being shady. If nothing else at least she could just show herself and say “don’t worry everyone I’m ok” or something to that effect. Maybe she had plastic surgery on her face? Maybe that’s why she can’t be seen. I am a former nurse - a hysterectomy does take three months for full recovery -- if it was this, she will have hormonal changes that will wreck havoc with how she feels and getting on HRT takes a while to regulate. However, we don't really know what happened and although I agree with what you said about the secrecy causing more speculation, I thing it is kinder to let her have the time she needs. She may be in pain - she may feel weak - we don't know. It is only a few weeks now and she will be back. @@whitneywhitney8356

We are all concerned about her well being because we do care about her but when you have been through the wringer having major surgery. You feel like you have been run over by a huge truck, you are weak, you hurt all over, you are very tired, she is probably anemic and low on vitamins. I got my blood tested and my 11 year old granddaughter got tested and her and I were very deficient in vitamin D and Iron and I was giving her a children’s multi vitamin which was supposed to have those things in it and she was severely deficient, like I wasn’t giving her anything at all. Now she has started her period and she bleeding very heavy and she is exhausted all the time. I have switched to giving her a adult iron pill because you can’t begin to even make new red blood cells fast enough to replace what you are losing. I take two vitamin D pills and I retested and now I am at a normal level. She even drank whole milk constantly from infancy on and it is supposed to be enriched but obviously it isn’t. My daughter is a top notch doctor and most aren’t as intelligent as she is. Most men don’t understand what women go through every month and doctors no nothing about nutrition and diet and how it affects our health. As skinny as Catherine is I think it will take a while to get her health back.

I was thinking that. I honestly don't know how she coped with everything that has been happening, especially with Harry and Meghan. Catherine is so down-to-earth and a genuine person. And Meghan has turned a good friendship between Catherine, William, and Harry into dust.
